MafiaScum Spleef Tournament!

Dis...er, this is a Spleef Tournament, can't you read? 8 players will be entered into the tournament and placed in a double-elimination bracket. Players will compete until one one player is left standing!

How do I play Spleef?

For a general idea, you could click this link to read the Minecraft wiki article. To see it in action, search YouTube, there's like a zillion videos probably. For tournament-specific rules, click the spoiler below (not necessary until you're actually gonna play).

Spoiler: DA RULEZ

1. All matches will be played in the official Spleef Arena on the MafiaScum Minecraft Server, located at [X=-484, Z=416].
   
2. You will play three matches against your opponent for the round. The winner of a match is the player who survives the longest. The first player to win two matches moves on in the tournament and is declared the winner of that particular game.
   
3. Each player will be provided with one diamond shovel and 8 melons for each match.
   
4. After each match, the arena is to be filled back in with one layer of dirt. Don't leave the arena full of holes!

How is this Tournament organized?

8 players will be permitted to enter, with two "alternates" available in case a player fails to play their first-round match. To enter, you must be whitelisted on the MafiaScum server. The player will be randomly placed in a double elimination tournament bracket to determine the matches.

You must organize a time to play with your opponent. The game will probably take about 15 minutes, possible a little bit more. You will have a period of one week to complete your game, though the sooner it's done the faster things move. Your game must also have an impartial witness to do countdowns and ensure that there is no collusion; this does not have to be a player entered in the tournament. Skype is NOT required, though of course you may use it if you choose.

Once your game is done, fill in the arena and report the results in-thread very clearly (e.g. "Xalxe def. Pizzadudes 2-1). You will then await your next match-up.

If you fail to complete your game within the assigned week without due cause, the player who caused this failure will forfeit the match. Should both players just suck, both will be removed and byes will occur, but let's not do this, yeah?

Um. Actually, I have no clue yet. Feel free to offer a suggestion with your /in! You will, however, receive a trophy of some sort in your home to mark you as the winner!
