T-shirt Preorder Thread

Post Post #0 (isolation #0) » Wed Sep 05, 2012 9:13 am

Post by mith »

Design by springlullaby and Jahudo

Front:

http://fc02.deviantart.net/fs71/f/2012/ ... 32cxug.png (transparent background)
http://fc06.deviantart.net/fs70/i/2010/ ... 2ygawk.png (black background)

Back:

http://fc05.deviantart.net/fs71/f/2012/ ... 55dcti.png (transparent background)
http://fc07.deviantart.net/fs71/f/2011/ ... 41l0ml.png (black background, missing "...")

The initial print run will be on black
, though we may offer another color at some point (may require changing the art coloring). Cost will be $15 (includes shipping) within US (and Canada?), and tentatively $20 elsewhere, though I'll want to check on specific countries before I start taking money.

What I need to know in this thread:

1. How many shirts do you intend to order, and what sizes? (Ladies/babydoll sizes potentiall available, let me know if you prefer.)

2. What country do you want these shirts shipped to?

Posting here is not a committment to buy, nor will doing so guarantee you will receive a shirt in the first order. However, I will PM everyone who posts here when I actually start taking money. This thread is just to get an idea of what size order to place initially, and what proportions of that order should be given for each size.

(Get a better browser?)

I'll get a black background version up when I'm not at work, unless Jahudo beats me to it. Not my dA account.

Babydolls will be available (pending a possible minimum order). I'll have to check with the print company for actual dimensions.

That's weird, I'm using Firefox myself. (Granted, I'm on linux as well.) Added links to OP.

THIS. Also, I REALLY need the dimensions before I order.

But I intend to order at least one, shipped to the US.

I do know it is pre-shrunk. I'll get details on dimensions before I get payment set up.

This is probably possible, but maybe not for first run.

Catching up on questions:

I am not 100% on this, but in theory, we should be able to offer the same design on multiple styles (even brands) of shirt, as well as print some without a front graphic, or back text. Maybe even print the text on the front and nothing on the back. The important thing is that there is only one setup. (However, it's also possible that any/all of that will affect bulk pricing.)

Anyway, yes, they do offer v-neck options (men's or ladies') for comparable pricing. They also offer hoodies/sweatshirts/etc. but those are significantly more expensive, and probably off the table for first run.

springlullaby's logo is awesome, and I'm asking whether she's ok with us using it for this. It's a little late to be switching designs, but we'll see.

I'll be back on this once I'm home from England (flying back Friday). But assuming I have sufficient internet times the next couple days, I'll email the printers to get some of those sizing details and ask other questions that have come up here.

Waiting on final png of the logo, and giving a couple more days for the ladies to get their updated size info to me based on the additional options there (I sent a PM to all of them a few days ago). I have a rough estimate of the order I'll be placing, pending some adjustments on the ladies styles.

Unfortunately, they have a very limited selection for v-necks.

(I'll be at BGG.con the rest of the week/weekend; should have something set up for placing actual orders on Monday, with the t-shirt order placed soon after.)

I'm not saying longer shirts don't exist. I'm saying that the shirt printer that we are working with doesn't offer the longer style.

I'm happy to switch printers if we can find a better option there. (I don't think me ordering a bunch of blanks from shirtsupplier and drawing the design by hand is an option anyone would be satisfied with.)

We already have officially switched the design over to the new logo. I'll update the images in the announcement thread. (Which will come this week. Or else. It should have come last week, and then the post-convention bug got hold of me.)

Predictably, life has gotten in the way here (specifically, constant mostly minor health things). Also misplaced the high-res version of the logo for the back, so waiting on a resend from sl. Just posting to say that I haven't forgotten about this
and see how much longer I can drag this out without a riot
.

Haven't heard back from sl, going to try to find a workaround this week.

quadz:

"I am not 100% on this, but in theory, we should be able to offer the same design on multiple styles (even brands) of shirt, as well as print some without a front graphic, or back text. I haven't checked on this with the printer yet, but will do so before I start taking official orders, so that if the option exists I can get that information. (It does make the bulk ordering a bit tricky, with another variable, but enough have expressed an interest that it's worth pursuing.)

Is anyone in touch with sl via AIM or Facebook or anything? I've tried emailing her a reminder, but it's bouncing.

Ok, I've got the logo now. I'll try to make some time soon to get ordering set up and printing underway, but no idea at the moment when that will be, I'm totally swamped.

Shirts are most definitely not dead. I'm not gone, just busy.

Next weekend is mostly free at the moment, so I am expecting to have a pre-order paypal page up within the next week. I'll also be sending out reminders to anyone who posted in this thread so I can get a clear picture of size requirements, given the amount of time since I asked for that information previously.

This week has kicked my butt, but I did actually manage to work on this some. Setting up the paypal stuff is turning out to be more complicated than I was anticipating, and I left some things on my work computer, but getting there...

De-stickying this until I've got the order form set up. Sorry again about the delays, the last few weeks have been awful and full of no-sleep.

Yes, but the logo would be replaced with a picture of Scully, and the shirts would come equipped with a chastity belt.

I've been in contact with some local screen printers getting quotes the past few days; I'm hoping to reopen preorders (for size distribution purposes) this week sometime, and work on getting the order form set up with the coding group.

(I'm out of action tomorrow, though, so if I'm online for some reason trying to take your money, tell me to go take some more vicodin and go back to bed.)
