Guild Wars II GAME RELEASE happened a while ago

This forum is specifically for discussing non-Mafia games
(board, card, video, we're not picky)
.
Playing
such games should happen in the Mish Mash forum, of course.

Cause I'm pretty sure me and fatewen were on yesterday

I was on yesterday evening from about 6PM until 8PM. Fate was the only one online and I pinged him like fifty times and he never responded, ever.

By the way, I just hit 50 so if anyone wants to run TA with me I'd <3 them forever

Ugh, I hate the Asura starting point, went there with my Norn to get all discovery points and to get bonus xp. She didn't quite fit in, being as I made her the tallest I could in the design.

Yo, Gears of Fate chaps: http://fate.gleigh.net

Standing up a website this weekend. Right now / redirects to the forums, but I'll have a proper homepage up sometime this weekend. For now, feel free to register on the forums and spam the admin email address with your goat porn. I might try to develop a cute little character tracking tool or something.

Starting to focus on tournament PvP and WvW lately. We're laid-back on the weeknights (instances, alts, exploring, WvW objective control) and usually do longer tournament marathons on weekends. Come play~

Love,
Your Webmistress

So:
A) I'm having trouble getting motivated to play my Thief, Engineer, or Elementalist. What I really want, is a class that has really good staying power, mobility, and high single-target DPS. Maybe Warrior?

B) I'd enjoy being part of a guild that actually did things while I was around.
One time, back in 'nam, Sudo was set upon by an entire squadron of charlies. He challenged them all to a game of Pictionary, which he won resoundingly. The charlies were forced to not only surrender the skirmish, but also their world-famous chili recipe, which Sudo sold to Texas for a hefty profit. Sudo is a master of diplomacy.

Well, Warrior is... you either go the "safe" route with condition damage (bleeds, mostly)+tankyness or you go for the much more common (and imo worse, but possibly more fun) glass cannon melee warrior. In either case, you can equip traits and utilities that basically go "whenever you receive a condition you actually don't," there's stuff like movement skills break immobilizes (which are actually the hardest-to-cure condition, along with confusion). Double axes (MAYBE greatsword) for melee AoE, longbow for ranged AoE, shield for defense, rest is mostly single-target deeps (sword is more over-time-ish, rifle is ranged jack-of-all-trades greatsword is a one-trick pony, maces are "I'll win this battle by making the other dude ragequit!" and hammer is a really good CC-bot with some damage on top - oh, and there's warhorn, but shush let's pretend that doesn't exist).

What I'm trying to say is, Warriors are well-rounded, but they're really hit-or-miss as to whether you'll like them or not.

We ran that one a day or two ago in about 20 minutes. That's the easiest dungeon though so your mileage will greatly vary in other dungeons.

Mobility powers. Like some classes have abilities that let them long jump. Super useful for jump-puzzles.

Because my current thief has no shadowsteps.

If you want mobility, don't play Necro.

If you want single-target DPS, don't play Guardian.

Sudo went Dual Pistols instead. Unload is delicious damage.

Elementalist daggers does have a long jump, but having to switch between four elements is a really annoying mechanic.
