I have decided to make a SSP world with the seed POTATOES to see how long it will take me to find a potato.

EDIT: Already found both a Desert Temple (in a swamp biome) and a Desert well.

I found myself a potato just as the sun was setting.

Also the sand sounds are fucking terrible.

You can make a much more efficient farm than that. One water source will hydrate a 7x7 area, 3 blocks out on each side.

Maybe it's been changed one way or the other. But 7x7 is pretty safe.

9x9 grid, with the water at the centre.

So you can hydrate 80 blocks with one water block as I recall.
