Pearl, soul silver, or black? I'm taking suggestions. Please tell me why.

The same rules as last time, but just that there is no box. I can't exceed 6 Pokemon at any time.

No releasing surviving pokemon either.

If I wipe, I must catch the first Pokemon I see in any route, then release my entire party, leaving that Pokemon as my only Pokemon and start anew. And I must go on to the elite 4, NO matter what

Black is the hardest to nuzlocke, but also the best because of the variety of Pokemon. I've wiped 3 times on that game, but all of them were with additional rules which make it fucking IMPOSSIBLE (no items is such a bitch). Twice before the third gym, and once against N. after that last time I was so saddened by Crux's (serperior) death that I just quit playing.

Reck, three main rules of nuzlockes
1. Only catch the first pokemon you see on each route
2. If a pokemon dies, box/release it.
3. Nickname every pokemon.

Additional rules may include
No bought items
No repeats (if the first pokemon you see on a route is a repeat of one you already have, you can catch another one)
No NPC pokemon
Some crazy people do "no sleep until finish a locke." I've been meaning to try one of those.

I'll do the three main rules. No bought items seems a little hardcore for someone who never plays Pokemon, so I'll skip that one. I think I'll implement no repeats and no NPC pokemon. So...

1. Only catch 1st pokemon on every route (unless it's a repeat of an already owned pokemon)
2. If a Pokemon faints, it's dead forever.
3. Nickname every pokemon.
4. No NPC pokemon allowed

I wasn't doing a Nuzlocke, but for my White file I had almost 200 hours logged by the time I beat the elite four for the first time.

I'd be using Diamond, but I really want to find another platform for all of my pokemon I've collected. Ah. What the hell, other than the two latias, I think I can get everything back with ease.

I generally play items, because I use a TON of antidotes. So, do we just start whenever?

I suppose I could go grab a copy of it for like $20 somewhere but we only have one DS so trading would be impossible anyway.

OK, so I went with Chimchar. Named him Faraday. Beat Xalxe in the trainer battle. Caught a Starly (lvl. 2, named it Klazam) on Route 201. On Route 202, I met a Bidoof, but Faraday crit killed it. Oh well, I generally use Route 202 for getting Shinx anyways. Almost killed Klazam already. At this point, I was leveling up my Chimchar for the Gym Battle. Found a Geodude on 207. Caught it (Lvl. 5, named it Sudo). This is when I found out the Starly I caught is in fact, female (lol never checked, hope you don't mind, Klazam! xD). Faraday then evolved. I'll do the Trainer Battle Later.

Any rule abnormalities? For example, in Hoenn, the desert was not accessible for a long time, but part of an accessible route, and most allowed for you to catch an individual pokemon from the desert in addition to the route pokemon. Anything like that here?
