Not really. Community Contributor isn't judged, it's awarded by mith and actually deals with behind the scenes stuff.

Tesla's achievements and his abilities as a showman demonstrating his seemingly miraculous inventions made him world-famous. Although he made a great deal of money from his patents, he spent a lot on numerous experiments over the years. In the last few decades of his life, he ended up living in diminished circumstances as a recluse in Room 3327 of New Yorker Hotel, occasionally making unusual statements to the press. Because of his pronouncements and the nature of his work over the years, Tesla gained a reputation in popular culture as the archetypal "mad scientist." He died penniless and in debt on 7 January 1943. Tesla's work fell into relative obscurity after his death, but since the 1990s, his reputation has experienced a comeback in popular culture. It's not a question of if it fits, it's more of a question of how well it fits, or if it fits well enough for people to actually "get it." You just demonstrated that it possibly doesn't fit well enough, which was the reason for my original assertion that something more generic be considered. Tesla really was a boss though. He's got my respect.

I really liked the part "he" played in The Prestige, for the record.

No idea, but perhaps a
Best Poster
award? I'd like to see some recognition for the truly great posters of the site.

Isn't that naturally covered in something else depending on what best means? If it's an overall scummy I guess I could see it working.

I could get behind that. Because it's not like the Scummies are relegated to mafia-related things exclusively, i.e. Name Should Be In Orange

Yeah, but we had a GD award a few years ago that flopped.
P.s. which of the current awards work/don't work? 2013 thread will be up in a while. Is there anything that's wrong (Personally smooth operator doesn't work but that's being...remedied I think, as discussed). I like Rising Star and feel it does a better job than Best Newbie/Most Improved.
