So basically my theory states that the scum is within 'Not a Vanilla Town' claims. (Apart from Konowa, the other 'Not a Vanilla Town' will be the Doctor). Everything seems to be holding up so far. So we just need a claim from Shamrock.

Well I wasn’t prioritizing it since I’m not getting lynched today. I targeted Shamrock as I knew I wasn’t the Doctor and thus wanted to track my top suspect if I was the tracker.

I've been going over this day again and there are a couple of things that I'd like to hear an explanation on, from Konowa, because they confused me.

So that means that someone else as Town targeted you

and they should know that they are the Doc.

Why would someone who targeted Magna be the doctor? Did you have reason to believe that the mafia targeted Magna, instead of someone else?

Quilford can't be scum soft selling. One is going to target for kill, one is going to target for possible RB. If Quilford was scum he would have visited someone last night. The fact that he didn't visit anyone means he is Vanilla.

Does the mafia know which player has which role? If yes, how do you know? The sample PMs indicate that they'd get a "you're not X, you're aligned with mafia" PM. And if they do not know, why would it have been impossible for Quilford to be the goon but his partner submitting the kill? In that case, Quilford would have not visited anyone, just as a VT wouldn't have visited anyone.

It was Quilford's first post that was dripping with confirmation bias.

Scum probably don't know what role they have based on the sample PMs provided by AV. That said, it would be counter productive for one scum to send in both actions.

Working from the premise that scum don't know which has which role (Goon versus Blocker) which is a pretty solid assumption given the nature of the set-up scum choosing to have a single player submit actions risks missing the Roleblock if the wrong person is chosen to submit both.

This is pretty straightforward Mit. Why do you have trouble understanding that?

Quilford doesn't have an RB action. He doesn't, in fact, do anything. He doesn't visit anyone. So, Konowa gets a result of "Quilford didn't visit anyone", or whatever. But Konowa asserts that Quilford must be a VT. Do you see the problem?

Your logic revolves around scum not wanting to potentially use their Roleblock and on "submit the kill" mechanics that Town shouldn't assume. So the only problems I see is with your logic.

The only way I can't be the kill target (other than that I'm Obv-Town") is if Shamrock was protected. I don't see that as reaonably likely.

@Magna: No, my logic revolves around the logic of one person submitting the kill and the other submitting the action, hoping that he is the RB. But he might be the goon instead. I see what you mean, though. But still, if we cannot assume one mechanic, we also cannot assume the other, either. And yes, at this point, I also agree that you were most likely the intended mafia target, if there was one, since so many people targeted you. But at the time of the relevant post (223), this was not known.
