Neither perfect# nor PWS have posted anywhere since the crash. conflux, though posting since the crash, has yet to post in here at all -- even pre-crash.
Until we're sure about who's actuallyplayingthis game, I hardly know how to proceed. And, looking at the low post count since we've come back, I'm guessing that's the case for almost all of us.Remember...It's not a lie if you believe it. -- G. Costanza- MeMe

Um...
I was participating before the crash and have posted more than you (and several others you failed to mention)sincethe crash. In those posts, I've made the point that it's pretty hard to get going again when players are missing, a situation which has only recently been remedied. Basically, your selection of me and perfect to note as non-partipants is odd to me. Why ignore so many others?
Regardless, I'm quite happy with my vote on Y. His questioning of my original vote didn't make sense to me as there couldn't have possibly been a reason for my vote at that point. The fact that he did it again while reiterating 1) that it was to get talking going then 2) that the second was "more of a joke" also doesn't make much sense because 1) it didn't work the first time, why attempt it again and 2) it wasn't humorous. He then apologized for lack of participation at a point when he was posting as much as most/more than several, which struck me as the undue worry of a possible guilty conscience.
Let's get it on.Remember...It's not a lie if you believe it. -- G. Costanza- MeMe

It's still mangled. Unless there's some weird vote-screwing-up mechanic or role, here's the correct count:
chamber (3) : (Colonel Kurtz, Sotty7, Mr Stoofer)
PlaysWithSquirrels (2) : (meaning of life 42, Y)
Y (2) : (MeMe, PlaysWithSquirrels)
Colonel Kurtz (1) : (bertrand)
Mr Stoofer (1) : (perfect#)
not voting (3): (chamber, spectrumvoid, VitaminR)

Although I feel there's better reason to vote Y, I could switch over to bertrand, chamber, or perfect for being totally useless.Remember...It's not a lie if you believe it. -- G. Costanza- MeMe

Ifeel like this is a complete repeat of Donnie Darko...but I'm willing to hear you out if you've actually got something to say.
How is it "better for the town" to play your way? If you don't have a decent answer for that, I'll probably go ahead and vote you as, from my point of view, your play is nonsensical -- regardless of alignment.chamber wrote:I choose a different way to play, one that I find more enjoyable and better for the townRemember...It's not a lie if you believe it. -- G. Let's break that down, shall we?
I seriously doubt you can't understand my vote when I've patiently explained myself the other times you've expressed confusion. The post before my most recent vote onlyY wrote:I can't really understandaddedto that suspicion.
First, I'mY wrote:why she's so eager to lynch mevotingyou -- notlynchingyou. Second, I don't think my actions could be seriously termed "eager."
So why doY wrote:when no one else really cares.youcare so much? The fact that you appear to overreact any time I mention you even though no one else currently supports my position seems just another indication of your scumminess.
And this? "She's overly non-scummy and that's scummy"?Y wrote:It looks to me like she's trying to be very consistent and not vote hopping - The exact opposite of what seems scummy. It is excessive enough to cross my scumness line.

So, you're saying that you've never seen someone place a vote and then remove it when a bandwagon forms with an "I don't necessarily want so and sospectrumvoid wrote:Reason 4 This is interesting. I thought a vote was indicative of a desire to lynch. If Meme didn't want to lynch Y, why vote?lynched" comment? A vote -- especially one that's early enough not to put someone in danger of being lynched -- is often more of a "this is the person I think is most scummy" rather than a "die now, scum." I'm surprised you're claiming to have thought otherwise.
As for the out-of-thread discussion, I think chamber did the right thing in bringing it out. Itisagainst the mod's stated rules and we need to know what she's planning to do about it.
I really hate being under deadline when we're waiting for mod information -- it doesn't seem quiteDrippingGoofball wrote:Good ice cream doesn't talk.

Originally, when DGB thought Y & Stoofer were tied at deadline, the thread was locked and it looked like they both were gonna melt. But when it turned out that Y would be the only one dying, the post was edited and an extension granted. Anyone have any thoughts on why that might be?Remember...It's not a lie if you believe it. -- G. Costanza- MeMe

Apparently I wasn't clear.
She first shut the thread and looked willing to put the game into night with two deaths -- and then granted an extension once she confirmed that the count wasnota tie. Shouldn't it have been obvious that we were "actually getting somewhere" and that the "deadline drew enough attention to the game" when she first posted?? Why was it OK for both of them to die but not Y alone?
I know some don't like to dissect mod actions. It's my opinion, however, thateverythingshould be considered and when mods do something out of the ordinary, that can't be ignored.Remember...It's not a lie if you believe it. -- G. Costanza- MeMe

Well, here's what I thought. Would a moderator be fine with:
-- a deadline lynch resulting in two scum dead? Definitely not.
-- a deadline lynch resulting in two town dead? Possibly.
-- a deadline lynch resulting in one scum and one town dead? Probably.
So, looking at that, I was expecting they'd turn up as two town or one of each. When I checked again and saw that Y had been the only one in danger of deadline lynch and she'd since decided to keep the game going, my conclusion was that, if DGB made a conscious decision about what to do based on Y's alignment, it's more likely that Y is scum than town. In a day start, scum dying day one is more unexpected than town -- so it could've thrown off the balance to allow it to happen when there was the easy cover of "extension granted."
I do admit to:
--having a habit of overanalyzing
--being of the mind that Y is the scummiest
--wishing this day was over and being somewhat annoyed that the deadline was rescinded -- though I might have felt differently if anyone other than Y was in the lead position
And, while Mariyta's explanation makes sense, I really wish DGB would have stated that as the case if it IS the case. To overwrite a post and allow a suspicious mind like mine to start doing someraults is just cruel if there's a simple explanation.Remember...It's not a lie if you believe it. -- G. Costanza- MeMe

Well, yes & no. Originally, this post:Mr Stoofer wrote:MeMe, just so I understand you correctly: are you saying that when DGB locked the thread, Y was the lynch leader on his own?
Said something like --DrippingGoofball wrote:Extension granted. Now set at Monday, Dec 18, 9:00 EST.
Y (5) : (chamber, Maryita, Mr Stoofer, PWS, MeMe)
Mr Stoofer (3) : ( VitaminR, Patrick, Y)
chamber (2) : (Colonel Kurtz, Mr Stoofer)
meaning of life 42 (1) : (spectrumvoid)
not voting (2): (bertrand, meaning of life 42)
"Y (3): (so and so, so and so, so and so)
Mr Stoofer (3): (so and so, so and so, so and so)
Looks like two will be melting! But let me check to be sure."
Then, after 20 minutes or so, it changed to reflect Y as the leader. So Y was the leader all along (if the new count is trustworthy, that is), DGB justthoughtit was a tie originally.
Iamwilling to drop it -- it certainly didn't do anything but make me more confident in my vote. I'm surprised, though, that no one else saw it and/or thought it was weird enough to comment on.Remember...It's not a lie if you believe it. -- G. Costanza- MeMe

Yes -- I pushed hardest for Y. I'll be amazed at how scummy he managed to look if he's a townie as he claimed.
However, if he is pro-town, chamber's twilight "you guys made a mistake" post becomes one of theclassicscum errors. I would've waited to see Y's alignment if I were a day vig, but I totally understand where PWS is coming from.Remember...It's not a lie if you believe it. -- G. Costanza- MeMe

Patrick -- no clue on PWS. Either way, joke or real, I totally see where he's coming from.
As for whether Y would keep going if scum?Ikeep posting up until mod says I'm dead when I'm lynched -- you never know what might happen. But I agree it sounds pretty likely he's town at this point. The current count puts Y at seven votes -- so unless somethingreallyfunky is going on, I'd have to agree with Patrick. I'd think that if DGB were around and there's some mechanic preventing the lynch, she'd post a count at least so that we don't stagnate. But, then again, she doesn't seem to play by my modding expectations, eh?
