I think it is my subconscious way of closing loopholes within my thought processes. I dunno. I often will take a counter position in forum debates just to see things from a different POV and try to reason out where they are coming from (I am mostly on science, politics and "rational" boards). it helps me to clarify my own thoughts on the position I am holding. I kind of work from an axis of several different possibilities while trying to narrow things down to the most likely probabilities. I also operate from the holistic POV of holding all of the contingencies that are consistent with my value system and the goals that I have before me in order to achieve homeostasis in the environment I am in.

well to be honest I was looking up pics for a brothel type of loveseat or a psychiatrist's chair. couldn't find one I liked so I decided I did not like either so I went with with the beach/wicker one. do you like it?

cards on the table N; I need more convincing to backtrack on my town read on rach other than a meta read. some people are kick ass meta readers and some will use meta in a game when they don't quite grasp how to do meta or they will be meta players and just be wrong. I think this is why meta is often treated as a weak case. rach looks town to me as in I am not seeing a whole lot of scum motivation in her posts with what she has posted and the the way she is posting. she has given a shitload of town reads that will not set her up for optimal endgame, her POV is more concerned about a town win rather than her own survivability, yeah scum can do all of this too but to lynch her on the reasons presented is exclusionary of what others are doing who fit more classic scum behaviours. I dunno. you might be right her but I am not convinced.

Why is the "upset" bit the bit that you're hanging onto? That's not important to what I was saying at all. Mollie and Majiffy both understood what I was asking and have explained it to Lincolm; why can't you answer what I was actually asking?

Did you read what I said before Scum Points? I analyzed not just WHAT he said but the WAY he said it, and it all dovetails with a scummy mindset more than a towny mindset. Why are you defending him so much, if you are town you do not know for sure he is town, and I am getting even more suspicious of you for your major defending of him feels a bit like a chainsaw defense here. Save that copter kinda dropped off from positing since you started defending him.

General impressions from a first read-through:

• I'm liking Majiffy's play, he seems to be genuinely trying to figure out who is scum in the argument between Rach and N.
• I don't think he's right about Rach being scum though. I think her VT-claim/potential-last-words when she thought she was at L-1 was genuinely trying to help town. I don't think she's manipulative enough to believably make that sort of post as scum, but I'll have to meta that.
• The Copter vs. Mollie thing seems odd, I'm feeling one of them may well be scum. At the moment I'm leaning Copter - I don't like his focus on townreads and his strong push of Rach's wagon without having made much of a case against her himself.
• jmo isn't scumhunting, his list of reads doesn't really have a strong basis and he hasn't been questioning anyone, just jumping on the N-wagon. Don't know whether that makes him scummy yet.
• N was quite focused on Rach for too long, but I'm not convinced of his scumminess either. I think there's a chance Rach vs. N may have been a town-town thing.
• I'm not getting much of an impression on Jason or Maestro. If one of them is scum, my gut says Maestro, but I'll need to take a closer look at them.

I'll post something more concrete and substantiated once I've done ISO's.

If this were a game with a vig, JMO would be a good choice. Reminds me of a wordier Kassadin who unfortunately turned out to be the vig in Open 397. Basically he has contributed zip to speak of, and yet seems a town lurker not a scum lurker to most of the players. Even though I was scum in that game, Kassadin drove me nuts with his the Rock impression of playstyle. That is why you are seeing so many comments about his play.
