Greetings, Pokèmon. I bear a message to all seeking adventure and glory. You may now apply to join a select group of twenty-one competitors for a Survivor game of fantastic design. This opportunity follows the dazzling victory of Chansey on Seafoam Islands, and will take place at the legendary Sky Pillar! If you wish to participate, you must apply for a coveted Ozone Ticket immediately. To do so, provide me the following information via private message:
{GENERAL RULES}
This is a game. The main objective is to have fun; so no excessive flaming, spamming, or submission of anything else prohibited within the MS forums.{01}
This is a game. The secondary objective is to dominate.{02}
We are not infallible, so if any of us make a mistake, please point it out to us privately so that we may make corrections as necessary.{03}
We have worked extensively to produce a game that is enjoyed by all involved. As such, we promise to offer each player respect but expect to be shown the same in return.{04}
Do not modify avatars. The moderating team has spent a great deal of time creating these images and would much rather concentrate on maintaining a smooth game as opposed to making unnecessary revisions.{05}
Exercise common sense. If you are unsure as to whether an action conflicts with the rules, ask. Yes, this is a competition, but do not attempt to undermine challenges or game mechanics for your own gain. This violates both the spirit of the game and common respect mentioned above.{06}
Private communication with players outside of your tribe is strictly prohibited. Any player found in violation of this rule will be penalized.{07}
The moderating team asks that players refrain from logging in anonymously. This is to help emulate the Survivor experience.{08}
Any and all posting about this game outside the provided forums is illegal unless SPECIFICALLY STATED. Violators will be penalized, as it is threatens the integrity of an anonymous game.{09}
We reserve all rights to implement new rules if needed.{10}
{GAME MECHANICS}
{01}Survivor: Sky Pillaris. All participants are strictly prohibited from so much as hinting to their own identities or implying another player's mafiascum identity. Communication outside the private message system is also forbidden until otherwise stated. Failure to follow this rule can result in a variety of consequences ranging from a terse warning to one's elimination from the game. The moderating team reserves the right to determine the severity of possible infractions.ANONYMOUS
Reward Challenges:
Sky Pillar home to a myriad of hidden treasures and rewards, all of which the mods have graciously collected. Throughout the game, Reward Challenges have been designed so that players can reap the benefits of victory, gaining powers and items to prolong their stay in the game.{02}
Each reward challenge will have an established time frame that ranges between twenty-four and forty-eight hours. Failure to submit in the specified time will result in a player's or tribe's elimination from the challenge.{03}
The outcomes of all Reward Challenges are final. That said, be sure to keep Rule 03 of General Rules in mind.{04}
Immunity Challenges:
A Survivor game is nothing without its standard immunity challenges. While there are a limited number of Reward Challenges throughout the game, each round will possess an Immunity Challenge.{05}
Winners of Immunity Challenges will be safe from elimination that round and cannot be voted out in Tribal Councils.{06}
We appreciate the fact that prospective contestants will enter this game with a range of skills. With this in mind, understand that we as mods cannot cater to all players' needs and time constraints in challenges.{07}
The outcomes of all Immunity Challenges are final. That said, be sure to keep Rule 03 of General Rules in mind.{08}
Tribal Council:
Tribal Councils will last twenty-four hours from the moment we notify relevant parties. If a player fails to submit a vote within the given time frame, he or she will incur a self-vote penalty. In the event that a player knows he or she will be unable to vote by deadline, that player may notify the moderators and cast a conditional vote to avoid penalization.{09}
The results of Tribal Councils may be posted before deadline if and only if all persons involved have submitted a vote.{10}
The modification of votes after they have been submitted is prohibited. Failure to adhere to this rule will result in a self-vote or nullification of one's vote. Repeated offenses will be dealt with as deemed appropriate. The only exception to this rule are conditional votes mentioned above.{11}
The outcomes of Tribal Councils are final.{12}
Questions concerning ties in Tribal Council may be found below:{13}
Spoiler: Breaking Ties
Twists:
Twists will be implemented without warning or provocation throughout the game. The time and setting of each twist has already been determined, so as to neither give an unfair advantage or disadvantage to a player or group of players.{14}Last edited by Mewtwo on Fri Apr 05, 2013 3:11 pm, edited 32 times in total.-

{THE GAME BEGINS}
Today, the recipients of the Eevee Three's Ozone Tickets cast off from the Hoenn mainland. Their destination? Sky Pillar, an island fashioned in abandoned catacombs and weathered paths, both littered with gems of power and elusive Pokémon. Among the ruins stands Sky Pillar itself, the rumored sanctum of Rayquaza. It is in the shadow of this ancient tower that twenty-one Pokémon first embarked upon a journey of great peril, risking it all for the ultimate prize: victory. As Vaporeon, Espeon and Umbreon greeted their guests, the contestants took their first steps toward the title of Sole Survivor.

{ROUND ONE}
Survivor: Sky Pillarofficially began with a mandate from Rayquaza and an explosion of chaos. For their first challenge, the three tribes had to commemorate Celebi, a former guardian of the Survivor competition. Each team sought to prove their worth by navigating the enchanted Ilex Maze, removing for thick trees from their path as part of Celebi's send off. The first two tribes to exit the Ilex Maze would win immunity, while one member of the losing team would have the distinction of being the first player eliminated from the game. The teams finished in the following sequence:
- {01}In first place was the Ruby Tribe, now known as.{Forina}
{02}The Sapphire Tribe, or, finished second.{Vaporeon's Valiant Vassals}
{03}This left the Emerald Tribe, or thewith an invitation to Tribal Council. Who will be the first player to leave the game? Find out soon.{Elite Seven}

{TRIBAL COUNCIL ONE}
The seven members of thetrudged into Tribal Council. Defeat welcomed certain vulnerability, as for one of them the journey would come to an abrupt end. In the end, a majority of the tribe chose to eliminate{Elite Seven}, the shy, Feeling Pokémon. A subtle tension creeped onto the island as the first player departed. Can the Elite Seven rebound from an early loss? Only time will tell.{Ralts}

{ROUND TWO}
Tonight, the tribes made their way to the Nest. As luck would have it, this unforgiving portion of the island would serve as the setting for Immunity Challenge 02. With the help of migrating Noctowls, the moderating team created a Word Search from trainers' distress notes. The two tribes to locate the most words or phrases in twenty-four hours would escape Tribal Council. The last tribe would not be so lucky. Here is how the challenge played out:
- {01}Theworked diligently, and became the first team to finish with a perfect score.{Vassals}
{02}Bouncing back from Ralts' elimination, theplaced a close second.{Elite Seven}
{03}experienced early progress in the challenge, but was unable to continue its momentum. After winning Challenge 01, members of the Ruby Tribe now find themselves in the hot seat. How will the votes fall? Stay tuned.{Forina}

Members of theentered Tribal Council in a state of disbelief, their Immunity Challenge 01 medals still polished and pristine. One-by-one they cast their votes, each competitor clinging to their individual activity level as hope for survival. When the votes were read, however, it was the Wood Gecko Pokémon{Forina}whose torch was snuffed. Nineteen players remain.{Treecko}

{ROUND THREE}
Before the third Immunity Challenge could begin, Team Aqua commandeered the game and trapped Vaporeon, Espeon and Umbreon on the ground floor of Sky Pillar. In order to free the mods, the tribes were forced to solve the villains' puzzle, a series of ten broken image links placed in incorrect order. Each team utilized a series of clues to fix the tags, and the two tribes to rearrange them correctly in the least amount of time would win Tribal Immunity. The teams placed in the following order:
- {01}Thecontinued their challenge climb, finishing the puzzle in thirty minutes.{Elite Seven}
{02}recovered from its Challenge 02 loss, placing second after thirty-three minutes of puzzle work.{Forina}
{03}Team Aqua bested the, who finished with a time of one hour and one minute. After two rounds of safety, the Sapphire Tribe must now vote out one of their own.{Vassals}

{ROUND FOUR}
Vaporeon took center stage during Immunity Challenge 04, and decided to test the tribes' ability to coordinate under pressure. The mechanics were simple: each player began the challenge with 300 energy points. They would then allocate that energy to cross a series of islands. The player{s} that spent the fewest number of points would be blasted from the challenge, while more judicious competitors would survive. The first tribe to lose all its members would attend Tribal Council. To shake things up, the player to last the longest received an individual Reward. In the revolving door of Immunity Challenge wins and losses, here is how each tribe placed:
- {00}nudged past stragglers to win Reward.{Piplup}
{01}claimed their second victory of the game, and received the Water Champ Medal for their efforts.{Forina}
{02}Themade good use of their Water-types, and coasted to a comfortable second-place finish.{Vassals}
{03}Amidst the chaos, thefound themselves washed up. The dampened Pokémon reached Sky Pillar's shores only to begin the climb to the Tribal Council area.{Elite Seven}

{HYPER BEAM}
Today, our three tribes gathered next to Shelgon Bay for the first Reward Challenge of the game. Before the moderating team could explain the challenge, however, Rayquaza awoke in a rage. The Sky High Pokémon unleashed his fury on the island, summoning a Hyper Beam that nearly missed the castaways. Instead, Sky Pillar's guardian struck a submerged quarry and blasted a wave of precious shards into the air. The Eevee Three instructed tribes to collect the debris as it fell. When the dust settled, each player walked away with either a Griseous Orb, Adamant Orb, or Lustrous Orb. To mixed levels of surprise, the teams found themselves standing under two new banners!
The Tribe Swap resulted in the following way:
The, which consisted of Budew, Cherubi, Ekans, Magikarp, Mareep, Riolu, Squirtle and Staryu.{Diamond Tribe}
The, which welcomed Beldum, Croagunk, Geodude, Pineco, Piplup, Shinx, Spiritomb and Togepi.{Pearl Tribe}
Because Lillipup caught the, the pup found himself escorted to Exile. Lillipup will remain isolated from both tribes until Tribal Council 05, at which point he'll join the losing tribe.{Griseous Orb}

Tribesand{Izabe}followed the ghosts of Sky Pillar deep beneath the island's catacombs. Among the tunnels, they found an alcove filled with treasures of different values. For the Round 05 Immunity Challenge, each tribe would attempt to collect as many of the items as they could. The team to walk away with the highest number of point earnings would win the challenge and escape Tribal Council. Both teams performed admirably, but when the pilfering had concluded, one tribe snagged immunity by a considerable margin:{Vassals of the Elite}
- {01}completed the challenge with 115 Points.{Vassals of the Elite}
{02}placed second with 84 Points. Despite their best efforts, the Pearl Tribe walked away with Tribal Council summons. Soon, one of their own will be eliminated, providing Lillipup a much-needed escape from Exile.{Izabe}

{FANGED GROTTO & DRAGON RAGE}
Following Immunity Challenge 06, Rayquaza decided to commemorate the castaways' successes and decided to open one of two sequestered areas of Sky Pillar for exploration. Both tribes were informed these two locations contained powers that could alter the course ofSurvivor: Sky Pillar. After a series of deliberations held within both tribes, the players were given access to the.{Fanged Grotto}
Try as they might to locate the power Sky Pillar's guardian had promised, however, there was nothing to be found. All that greeted them was a fathomless expanse of seafoam green watter -- the grotto itself. It was only when the first Pokémon began to probe the water's still surface that it happened. A surge of mist, foam, and salty water shot skyward, and from within the storm emergedGraeter Gyarados, a Pokémon of improbable age and limitless power.
The dragon went into a frenzy, and before either tribe could flee, the it kicked up a crippling Dragon Rage. The attack wiped Sky Pillar's beaches clean of both Diamond and Pearl Tribes, essentially stranding the players in the midst of a Merge.-

It would seem the castaways' recent interaction with the ghosts of Sky Pillar drew the inner eye of Sabrina, the Psychic Master of Saffron City. The Gym Leader reached the Pokémon through Espeon, and wished to play a game with the. Her challenge was easy to follow; a simple Flash challenge in which the players gained points by making pairs of Pokémon tarot cars. The contestant to finish with the highest score would win Individual Immunity, guaranteeing himself or herself a pass through the drama of{Shipwrecked Tribe}Survivor: Sky Pillar'ssixteen-player Tribal Council.

In a game founded upon wheeling and dealing, the moderating team felt it necessary to let the castaways both unwind and possibly walk away from a challenge with something to show for their time on the island. As such, they hosted Sky Pillar's first and {perhaps} only auction! Each player received{300 Points}to use for bidding purposes in the Reward Challenge. Players then bolstered their points with individual earnings from the Treasure Trove. Here is how the auction played out:

The morning following Tribal Council 06, the castaways were woken by a sudden, mild seismic tremor. Wary of Team Aqua, the Eevee Three searched the island for the disturbance's source, and came across a snoozing Snorlax. After a few minutes of poking and prodding, the moderators realized that the gentle giant had fallen asleep on the Immunity Necklace! The moderators entrusted the castaways with waking him. Each castaway was given a Poké Flute and instructed to the replicate the songs to the best of their ability. To do so, they would each have to gain points by identifying the Pokémon movie in which each composition could be found and naming the Pokémon to which each song was associated. With a total of{18 Points}out of 20,proved most capable of waking Snorlax, and won Individual Immunity for his efforts.{Herdier}-

For Challenge 10, Espeon decided to gauge team dynamics. Each tribe nominated one player, the Intuitive, that would be isolated from the rest of the tribe. Those two players were instructed to attach one of six Pokémon Nature Traits to each of their teammates. Concurrently, both tribes created their own lists. For each correct match made between the Intuitives' entry and their respective tribe's submission, the group would score 01 Point. The tribe with the highest score would gain Tribal Immunity and the {Psychic Champ} Medal.

Today's Immunity Challenge gave both tribes the chance to help Bill, the Pokémon Researcher. Shrewd as this Cerulean Town native is, his PC system was bogged down by Pokémon as they returned to their companions. More specifically, the Pokémon listed as possible character choices by current and eliminated players unintentionally interrupted the PC data flow as they returned to their native regions. The Eevee Three entrustedand{Riyado}to move these Pokémon through the network. To do so, they simply had to identify them. The tribe that correctly identified the most Pokémon would win immunity and the {Boxes Filled} Medal.{Margarita}

Night crept over Sky Pillar as Tribal Council 10 convened. The stars rose quickly, but offered little comfort from the loss of another contestant. Challenge 14 should have been simple for the players who fostered relationships with their fallen peers. The Final Nine found a series of quotes from the eliminated contestants in their Confessionals. It isn't often that Pokémon are afforded the opportunity to explore historical landmarks, so the Eevee Three guided the Final 8 to the Unown Tomb. Legend has it that Rayquaza hatched from its egg in that forgotten hall -- a fitting tale when Immunity so closely resembled the chance at rebirth. For Challenge 16, the castaways explored the inner-most chamber of the tomb, studying a hidden message that could only be seen after using Secret Power. The player to decipher the Unown Tomb's secret in the fastest time would win Immunity. Fortune shined on, who dominated the challenge and gained himself a guaranteed spot in the Final 7.{Stoutland}-

Our friend, Bill, found himself in another predicament. The good researcher thought it wise to play DNA dress-up with a group of Clefairy. As a result, he became stuck in Pokémon form, and would remain that way unless the castaways could activate his reversal machine.To do so, the players had to access Bill's Cell Separation System analyzing a series of odd Pokémon fusions. These blended images were meant to be a network of passwords. The first person to correctly identify all the Pokémon in a given image or -- assuming not all Pokémon are identified -- the first person to name the most Pokémon in a given image received a point. With that point, the respective player then selected one person to knock out of the challenge. After six images,activated Bill's machine, and received Immunity for the effort.{Toxicroak}-

On Day 45 we spotted the Millennium Comet arcing over the heights of Sky Pillar. It is said that Jirachi, the legendary Wish Pokémon, uses the energy from this comet to rise from its thousand-year slumber. Before that can happen, though, the wish maker must find a friend. For this challenge, players had to heed Jirachi's cryptic dreams, following its telepathic clues to offer it presents. Each round, Jirachi will requested -- through a riddle -- a specific gift: the image of one Pokémon eliminated via Tribal Council. When a castaway believed he or she had solved the riddle and located the correct present, they offered it to Jirachi by posting the image. There was always one less present than there were players, meaning that the last player to offer the correct gift in a given round would be eliminated. In a stunning display,gained Jirachi's friendship and won Immunity!{Lucario}-

The castaways' stay in Sky Pillar has indeed been one of legendary proportions; after facing the wrath of Rayquaza, the rage of Graeter Gyarados, and the miraculous talents of Jirachi, our players came face-to-face with Hoenn titans: the Regi Pokémon. For Immunity Challenge 19, the players had to stop this trio from ruining the island in their search for power. When instructed to begin, each player interacted with a collection of ten shards. Each projected a word or phrase letter-by-letter. These prompts were terms relevant to the Pokémon franchise and to Survivor. It was essential that players pay close attention, however, because all words or phrases were spelled backwards. The player to activate all ten shards in the shortest amount of time would successfully create a barrier to trap the Regis, and would win Individual Immunity for doing so. With a final time of{05}minutes,snagged a pass to the Final Four!{Toxicroak}-

{ROUND SEVENTEEN}
Team Plasma's Colress greeted the Final Four not as battle-hardened castaways, but as test subjects. For Challenge 20, the players were positioned on a 7x7 board. From their starting positions, each player would take turns moving over the platform. Every time a player made a move, however, the square {s}he stepped was removed from play. If at any point a competitor could make a step, {s}he was eliminated from the challenge. Colress decided to up the ante, and placed five Electrodes on the board. If a player stepped on an Electrode it would use Self Destruct, knocking that player out of the challenge. After several movement phases,maneuvered himself into inevitable success, and his competitors accepted defeat.{Stoutland}-

{TRIBAL COUNCIL SEVENTEEN}
The players made their familiar, dreaded climb to Tribal Council. Soon, four would become three, but not before each castaway privately reflected on their gameplay thus far. When the votes were read, it was the Aura Pokémonwho followed the Path of Elimination. One more player will join the{Lucario}Survivor: Sky PillarJury, but who will it be?

{ROUND EIGHTEEN}
Following the Torch Walk Ceremony, Giratina emerged from Distortion World. Seeking torches of fallen castaways, the Renegade Pokémon ransacked the island, collected the relics, and vanished into its own warped reality. For their last challenge, the Final Three had to chase Giratina through Distortion World, competing in a three-part Challenge 21 for the Guiding Champ Medal and Individual Immunity. After some back-and-forth with the remaining members of Platinum,chose to sit out, and the challenge erupted into a face-off between his comrades. In the end,{Forretress}won two of three phases and earned an invitation to the Final Tribal Council.{Toxicroak}-

{TRIBAL COUNCIL EIGHTEEN}
The veil between player and arbiter was quickly dissolving. With Immunity in hand, Toxicroak possessed all the authority in Tribal Council 18. As the final act of castaway control, the Toxic Mouth Pokémon eliminatedand solidified a Final Tribal Council showdown with Stoutland. The power now shifts to the Jury of seven, who will soon pass judgment on our finalists and declare one of them the Sole Survivor of Sky Pillar.{Forretress}

{FINAL TRIBAL COUNCIL}
After two months of competition,and{Stoutland}made the all too familiar trek to Tribal Council together. The power shifted to the seven members of the Jury. It would be up to these players, many of whom the finalists had helped eliminate, to decide which one of them was most deserving of the title of Sole Survivor. The Tribal Council began smoothly with the two competitors' Opening Statements, but soon escalated as the Jury began their inquisition. When all sides had expressed themselves, however, a consensus was reached.{Toxicroak}
