Since this mighty nation’s founding, there have been many challenges to its freedom. Wars, both direct and indirect, have been waged against us, but every time, we have risen above the obstacles enemies have placed to thwart our path, and every time, we have became stronger as a result. This war is a special one. Never before have a group of citizens been asked to complete such a monumental task with stakes so high and rewards so low. If you fail here today, many innocent civilians will die. If you succeed, you will earn no medals and no recognition; the only thing that pushes you on at this point is the love of your country and the love for obnoxious amounts of cash.

Your duty has nothing to do with your background. It has nothing to do with who you are in the public eye. We have gathered the best and the brightest here today, and it is up to each and every one of you to fulfill your god-given duty to save America. Identify the traitors amongst yourselves and deliver unto them the ultimate punishment. Do not allow your kin to be distracted with your behavior; make it clear that you are a true American, and do not ignore signs of patriotism when you see it. This will be crucial to an American victory.

During your mission, you will feel weak. You will feel powerless, as if there is no way that you can possibly find them amongst yourselves, for you barely know those who fight beside you. But remember those you’ve left behind as well, the people you are protecting. Remember the firefighter who ran fearlessly into a burning building and carried body after body out. Remember the smiling child on his mother’s lap, whose curious eyes hold the future of a nation that will not survive if you fail. Remember the young adult, who has just discovered what he is going to contribute to society and pursues it with youthful vigor. Remember the soldier, who suppressed his fear of death to give back to his country. Remember them all and show them the American Dream is not dead.

The spirit that built this country up from dust is alive, and it will aid you as you crush the enemies that threaten our way of life. Years from now, they will write books on the rise of America, and it will come back to this moment. Your sacrifices will not be forgotten. Your names will be in the history books, children will reenact these next moments on the playgrounds, and your descendents will pray to you for guidance in the future. Once during the game, you may put on your ROBOT SUIT and challenge a combatant to a 1 on 1 duel. You will win this duel regardless of which way anyone votes because you’re in a MOTHERFUCKING ROBOT SUIT.

May be activated at any time, but you don’t know what it does. You can also activate it during twilight, so maybe you should try that?

General:
1) This ruleset is not perfect, and will occasionally require adjustment. This adjustment will wait until after the game if at all possible, but if some in-game patching is required, it will only be done with the blessing of several mods more experienced than I.
2) Until this game is declared over and a faction is won, it cannot be discussed outside of this thread ever. Sole exception is quicktopic links provided to you by me for specific discussion with other players in the game.
3) Do not quote private mod communications in the game thread. Paraphrasing is allowed, but don't toe the line.
4) Modkills result in an automatic loss and you losing your standing in my good books; the greatest way to avoid them is asking me before doing something that you are unsure about.
5) My colors are red, green, and blue. Whenever I comment on a player's posts, I will sign my name at the bottom. Do not impersonate me by using my colors or taking my format.

Voting/Lynching:
1) Vote with the vote tag or in bold like so:

The Wari’ people used to practice a type of endocannibalism (eating your own people) to console the grief of family members and respectfully ingest the memory of the deceased. Due to post-contact stigma and disease the practice has stopped. No, the post-contact part isn’t them getting diseased from eating dead bodies. It’s from people coming in and spreading diseases to the living people. Good for a Donner Family theme, I guess.

In the town of Silene, there lived a mighty and vicious dragon. In order to placate its terrible hunger, the people would feed him two sheep each day. And when the sheep failed, the people were forced to resort to feed the beast their children, decided by lottery. One day, the lot fell on the king’s daughter. In midst of his grief, he promised the people he would give them all of his gold and silver if only his daughter was spared, but the people refused. And so, they put the king’s daughter by the lake to be fed to the dragon. But, St. George had chosen this moment to walk by, where he saw the princess in distress. She bid him to run and save himself, but the noble knight refused. And when the dragon came by, he fortified himself with the Sign of the Cross, charged that evil dragon with his lance, and gave it a grievous wound.

Offending post has been deleted. Please don't reference ongoing games, please don't make vague references to ongoing games. This is your only warning. If someone disagrees with me giving a warning instead of a modkill, please do not hesitate to let me know. My reasoning is this: obviously Cryo realizes what they've done was against the rules, was immediately reprimanded by other players and hydra partner, and I trust them to be extra cautious when posting while drinking in the future (perhaps even posting drunk thoughts in a QT and reviewing while sober), so taking them out of the game really won't help with preventing future rulebreaking. I also don't feel it's heavily altered the gamestate, but this is something players are more aware of this than I am so lemme know if you disagree.

With the ferocious beast screaming, he called for the princess to throw him her girdle (she did, which was very unladylike of her), and he cast it around the dragon, taming it immediately. With dragon and woman in tow, he returned to the town of Silene before an overjoyed king and a terrified people. He called for them all to be baptized at that very instant, or he would let loose one very, very angry dragon upon the people of Silene. They consented quite quickly, as you can imagine, and St. George banged the smoking hot Silene princess. Or whatever, everyone lived happily ever after.

Thank you all for being so patient! The issue is resolved; I will talk about why I am modkilling joels after the game is done. Because it's not done yet!

It didn't take long for the Japanese man with the Queen headband to draw the ire of AMURIKA. Already, the democracy was forming against him, and it wasn't like he was a particularly eloquent man in the first place, so the inevitable hammer was going to come down eventually, and everyone sort of felt it. He embraced this end with open arms, interestingly enough. He continued smoking his cigarette while others foamed at the mouth attempting to turn the mob against him, and the most he did when they were about to kill him is kick his up legs on top of the table and smile at them. The source of his arrogance was soon revealed when the noose was prepared, and a giant blade came out to slice it open. Immediately, the meeting room was filled with an angry mob and swarming hellfire; even with one man against 12, it didn't really seem like there was much progress being made... But suddenly, the memories came swarming back, and he saw a face that he swore he remembered... But a stray punch to the face brought him back to reality, and he once again pushed the crowd away. And when they came back, he fought with renewed vigor because he remembered... and none could match him. The mob slowly loses its bloodlust as his increases, and they flee before him like dogs...

Sol takes out another cigarette from his pocket, and lights it. The flames rise up around him, chasing AMURIKA's finest men and women as they desperately attempt to escape, but there is nowhere to escape. Suddenly the beautiful manor seems like a prison as panicked feet run into dead ends, bathrooms, kitchens...

But suddenly, the inferno stops. The flames vanish like a forgotten nightmare, and the heroes of AMURIKA slowly but surely find their way back to the meeting room, once again sitting down and trying to slow down their pounding hearts. John F. Kennedy looks up at a missing ceiling, then down at his shaken congress. "Let's go the fuck to sleep."

A woman's scream echoes throughout the gigantic American mansion, and the lot of you assemble a hell of a lot faster than Congress ever could in order to check out what would cause such a noble lady to scream like that. You notice one of the group is missing, and you almost immediately make the connection.

"Bill?"

Bill Clinton comes stumbling out of the bedroom, with a sword in his back. He spits out blood onto the floor in disgust. "Bastards stabbed me in the back... I didn't even have time to see them; I was just trying to give this woman the gentle touch she needed..."

"Oh, Bill. I'll never find any man like you again..."

Bill Clinton grabbed a fifth of whiskey from the nightstand and chugged it, smashing it on the ground when it's done. "Now, I don't have much time. Once this whiskey kicks in, I'm going to black out and probably die on account of this gigantic sword lodged in my back. I hoped that I would be able to stop those bastards from killing, but it seems I can't get the Lil' President up for terrorist lovin'. Now, I know me and the Republicans don't get along sometimes, but I could never bring myself to hate them, even after all the effort they put into stopping change that I thought could save America. I know we are on the same page when there's a threat that's so dire and so threatening to the American Dream we have all worked so hard to cultivate. Now, I have faith in JFK to guide us through because he is everything we need; he is cool on the outside, but he burns for America on the inside. Unfortunately, he will not be able to do it alone.

Remember that despite all of the good Democrats have managed to do throughout the years, it was President Eisenhower that sent federal troops to my home to integrate Little Rock schools. And despite the fact that the Republicans aren't the best people for spearheading policies in this beautiful people, I wouldn't have been able to do much in the face of terrible natural disasters such as Katrina, the earthquake in Haiti, the South Asian tsunami, and we won't be able to get the far at all against this man made disaster without Democrats, Republicans, and Independents alike. Some of us have been raised from very young age for this day, while others are joining the game late. But we all have our special talents and abilities, and if we all work together, America cannot be stopped. We are the best and the brightest with the best alcohol on hand..."

Bill Clinton paused for a moment to chug another fifth of whiskey.

"And as long as we are careful not the hand the reins to someone that will lead us off a cliff, we will survive. Every time you point at someone and call them a fucking scumbag, you are deciding what kind of country you want to live in. You are deciding that the person you wish to die is a not a person that is right for America. And I love this country so much. And I know we can do this. And so far, every single person that has bet against America has lost because we always. come. back. And we will keep coming back. Right now, the score is 1 to 1 because I am gone from this world, but even if the score becomes 5-1, America will still have a chance. We are used to being the underdogs; we are comfortable in that position. Show these commie bastards what we are made of."

And with that, Bill Clinton smashes a second bottle, kisses his lady love goodbye, and jumps out of the window.

JFK watches him fall, staring out the window long after Bill crashes to the ground.

"A great hero has fallen. But if we hope to win the battle that is going on in this manor between freedom and tyranny, the fall of such a mighty hero should make clear to us all, as did the demonstration of the strength these terrorists have given to us yesterday, the impact of this battle on the minds of those here today and the generations we will raise in the future will determine that path America will take. With the advice of the late Bill Clinton, bless his soul, we must examine what we did right and what we did wrong, the scum we can root out and the town we must be careful not to demonize. Now it is time to take longer strides: in particular, I urge everyone to examine Bulbazak's and Hiraki's interactions with Joel, in light of the recent reveal of his true intentions. My prior analysis was ambiguous since I saw possibilities of terrorists defending Americans to throw us off, or terrorists throwing one of their own under the bus so they would not be accused of defending their fellows. Whatever the case, Hiraki is the scummier by far. ArcAngel9 should also be dead sooner than later, while goodmorning is a true American faithful and should not be left to die under any circumstances. There are a few others I trust, but I am too paranoid to name them now.

Now, focusing on these objectives will not solve our problems. They could, in fact, aggravate them further- unless every man, woman, and child standing around this table today gives his personal pledge that this nation will move forward, and scum will not be allowed to hide, with the full speed of freedom, in this exciting battle of American versus Terrorist."

Ascalon was the name of St. George’s sword which he used to slay the dragon, and he did not have sex with the princess of Silene. That would be blasphemy. But he did manage to convert fifteen thousand men to Christianity, so that’s essentially the same thing.

Saudade is a word that’s roughly translated to something like “nonstalgia”, but that’s a shitty translation for a powerful word. When you have saudades of something or someone, it’s a feeling of longing towards something that’s gone, and probably won’t return. It’s a fatalistic view, but it’s something that I’m starting to understand, and I find it strange it isn’t expressed in the English language at all.

I mean, we can say things like “I miss you”, but that doesn’t really express how you can miss connections you’ve had with close ones that you won’t get back. Alzheimer’s has always been a scary thing to me because they are there physically, but there will be long times where they don’t even know who you are and you are waiting to see when the old connection will return if it ever returns, which is a hell of a thing to go through. Not to mention when someone close to you has died, is sick, or even when you miss out on a connection with a good friend who you used to have the time of your life with, all because you grew apart... And nothing in English quite describes that feeling, while there is one word in Portuguese that does it perfectly. Isn’t it weird?

Fire, water, wind, the elements are so calming. One of the advantages of moving off campus from the college is being able to light a bunch of boxes on fire whenever you want, listening to the fire crackle, feeling an almost uncomfortable warmth on your face. Or water, like a hot shower in the morning to help you face the day (don’t understand how people take ‘em at night), or jumping into a cold lake, feeling your limbs jerking into action, and then warmth as you get used to it. It was dark, and the darkness frightened you. In addition to that, the alcohol was setting in, and you had the fear that soon your blood would be replaced by light rum, dark rum, triple sec, orange juice, pineapple juice, lime juice, sweet and sour mix, grenadine, and cherries. But despite viewing things with an alcoholic haze, a decision was made that most guests still probably would've approved of even while sober, made with rock-solid logic and backed by the drunken passions of seven people, give or take. This fellow was a mysterious one, who claimed that he was being advised by another AMURIKAN via headset. But he was awfully silent in deliberations, as if he didn't care who fell to the mob's wrath, which made it seem like he was one of those who just wanted to watch your dear country burn. JFK motions for DansAdvent to be executed, and the crowd moves immediately. He resists for a while at first, fending off blows and being cautious not to strike back too quickly, but eventually he is overwhelmed. "Stop!" he cries, but the crowd persists, overwhelmed by its collective bloodthirst. The masked figure falls onto the table, smashing it. His head smacks onto the ground harshly, and blood comes from his mouth and he bites his tongue. "Stop." he says again, his voice in a distinct British accent. A few hesitate, but for some, this is only encouragement. This man had nothing compared to the freakish power of the Japanese Man, so you continued attacking, continued striking until the man is motionless.

Then there is waiting.

The crowd has no idea what to expect, and it soon realizes that its plan was very well thought out. But this time, there was something more. The man began convulsing, and a gecko crawled its way out of his forward. Immediately, panic set in and a member of the crowd kicked the gecko with all of its might, sending it hurtling into a wall. The picture of the pitiful animal was enough to give the American people pause, despite the fact that they usually didn't give a shit about the little animals. He coughed up blood in his tiny gecko hands, and motioned JFK to come closer. He clutched the president by his thumb, and squeezed as hard as he could. "I only wanted to help, JFK. I wanted to be a hero, I wanted to help people do more than just save car insurance... I was ignorant; how can a gecko help the human race? I could only hinder. I am... sorry..." And with one more pitiful gecko cough, the GEICO gecko left this world, and people paid a lot more for car insurance. Fuck you, Flo.

Okay so I usually try to diffuse most political things with ridiculousness because it’s usually useless to try to argue with someone about political beliefs since those things are so deeply seated, but I saw something interesting today. The article had a man expressing the belief that so few people knew history, but for anyone that knew anything, the United States was officially a failed experiment. But for anyone that knows government, the government’s power is divided in plenty of ways; hence why legislature doesn’t pass so quickly and the wheels turn slowly. Not to mention that if this guy feels so strongly, I don’t see why he’s not making a stronger bid for the presidency themselves. I mean, if I felt AMERICA was completely lost, then I would pull out the LAST RESORT shit, you know? Probably wouldn’t leave because I’m not the type to give up on America, but that’s just me.

In the original prints of the Hobbit, Gollum wasn’t a crazy motherfucker who was super bound to the One Ring. In fact, he actually gives Bilbo the ring when he loses the riddle game and is like “yo lemme show you the way out of the mountains”. In the new version, Bilbo takes that shit but lies to the Dwarves and Gandalf so they think he wasn’t a dirty dirty thief. Which totally makes sense.

You woke up in the morning, showered, brushed your teeth. You got dressed, took a couple of shots, then went downstairs. Everyone was sitting in their seats for a change, which made you smile. But then, you notice that JFK was sitting a little more quietly than usual, was a little paler than usual, and instead of his usual expression of goodwill, his face was a picture of perfect terror. You examine the body closer, seeing that the non-AMURIKAns had taken special care to bound his back to the chair and trap him there, to give him the appearance of being still-alive. There are no signs of a brutal death like the previous deaths have had, but all the signs of a struggle. They wanted JFK to suffer, and now it is your job to make him pay.

You pull his body off the chair, place him in the room with all of the other dead, for now. It's a bit of a savage arrangement, but there are no servants here anymore and it's not like you want to bury a body yourselves (you are the heroes of AMURIKA, not some goddamn creepy gravediggers), so JFK gets treated like a mere civillian. You drink to his honor, share stories of your favorite moments with the iconic man and the countless women he slept with, reminisce of the service he gave to his country. Then you got to work, bolted down the hatches, and prepped to avenge him. You put your shiniest scumhunting hats on and got to work. This death will not go unanswered. You walk up to his room, fetching his tape recorder he always spoke into, finding that it held one last message for you all:

Well everyone, this’ll be my death message and my last wishes so I really want everyone to take the time to actually read through, consider and then hopefully act on my thoughts. As of right now the following people alive include Goodmorning, Cryo, Bulb, Pere, Hiraki, Tracey and Gorgon. I’m predicting two deaths to occur tonight (There’s a SK, trust me on that – sad thing is that I’m bad at SK hunting so you’ll have to work out who it is yourselves and I’m not envious of you there at all).

Cryos interactions alongside with their attempt at clearing/confirming people via role PMs despite there being sample ones inside the OP is supersupertown. There’s no chance they’re scum, I will literally eat a brick and video tape it if they are; I’d actually also say they’re Not-SK too but again not confident in being able to read people as SK/Not- SK so well. Traceys also in this supertown section due to SKs interactions with Joel and while I despise her replace in strategy of not reading the whole game it comes across as if she’s just obstinate town – as mafia she’d be more likely to appease us, read it and then just coast given the town-read we have on her due to non-interactions. So never lynch these two, ever.

Goodmorning technically should be going with the above two (He’s townnn here) but given that others aren’t sharing this read or at least the strength of it I’ll go into it in more depth. Take a look at his scum games here and here, you’ll find that he provides a lot of IoA and isn’t exactly super-flowing with his thought process whereas in this game is very open; things like this and this are very town.

I did think Bulb is town and kind of still do but his reaction towards Jasons post-hammer comments has me second guessing - the fact that in this post he's more concerned with stating there's no case on him yet then reacting to the fact that we just mslynched is really weird (I'm leaning towards thinking it's just due to frustration of realizing that a town player was the one that was FoS'ing / pushing on you for shit and almost non-existent reasons). As for why he's town; I think his scum-read on Jason and his continuously stating that he thinks Arc died because Jason wanted to grab some form of Town-Cred! from it and not considering a vig / sk makes more sense as stubborn town but again his end of day really has me throwing this read up in the air. I'd say not to lynch him at the moment - ie. Today / Tomorrow but deal with him after that.

So putting those four in the town / maybe town pile the remaining include Pere, Hiraki and Gorgon.

Thinking about it we fucked up yesterday - A Jason lynch should never have occurred we should have lynched Hiraki, the fact that we didn't is bad play on my part combined with a lack of chance to get towards the game. None of the contradictions and weird / unexplained change of reads from Hiraki disappeared at all, we just let him of the hook due to him knowing the VT role thingy which is in the OP and thus not a town-tell. Combine that with the fact that his "I'm just going to sheep because I'm confused this game!" is just allowing himself a lack of responsibility of any vote of his and an allowance to not even have to fake scumhunting while leaving whatever mslynch-case he has in his pocket for lylo where he can use it to get his win. Not to mention he blatantly scumslipped and no one caught it; his statement of vig/sk and that he mixed games up in this isn't possible - there's no such game. He's realized that he fucked up and is back-pedalling there.

PV I don't know what to tell you. I have an inkling that he's town and think he's playing slightly more to his town meta but wouldn't bet the game on it and looking at ie PoE there's a chance he's scum. Again though, not who I'd be lynching. Then there was Gorgon. I re-read his 'explanations' and I'm still not sold on him. I think his posting here is more mechanical then his other games, think he's been posting very 'safely' and think his interaction with Joel works. Long story short I think he's still scum but someone else should go through him again and when Hiraki flips scum take a look at their interactions.

So, summary: Cryo / Tracey / Goodmorning are supertown. I think Bulb is town but having last minute doubts. Lean slight town on PV but again weak read. I think Gorgon is scum but not a 'he's scum for sure' thing and Hiraki IS scum and has scumslipped not to mention has a lot of contradictions in reads and an interaction with Joel that should be purged.

Eric Smith was a young man who was trapped between a rock and a hard place, and worked hard to fight for things that he cared about, one of which was AMURIKA. Last night you got high as fuck and crazy shit happened; you thought the little kid killed a Pokemon that was actually a Serial Killer or some shit like that. This ended up being a hell of a game, and didn't turn out at all how I expected it to turn out. Mother Teresa could've protected multiple people, Peregrine had a one-shot public investigate, Strongman god modkilled pretty quickly, town PRs got steamrolled before they could do anything (with the exception of Regfan, who played fantastically). I ended up rooting for scum in the end because it always feels nice to root for the underdog and there were two points where scum was pretty much done for (Modkill, then Regfan), but they managed to pull it through in the end in a pretty impressive way.
