Card Sharks Plus Show #7 - JDGA vs ???

This game is originally created by Bill McDee, and it has inspired me to test this game out, but I've made some changes.

Based on the nucleus of the classic card game of "higher" and "lower" that aired on NBC from 1978-1981, and CBS from 1986-1989, and the Bill Rafferty syndicated version, Card Sharks "Plus" is called this, because several new games and features have been added to enhance gameplay even further. I will explain how it works based on my idea of how the show would be "segmented" on a major tv network during nighttime. Contestants could win up to $250,000 per show, and possibly more.

SEGMENT #1: "HI LO SHOWDOWN"

Two players, one a returning champion, will each have their own standard deck of 52 playing cards that will be shuffled and cut before the game begins. The top 5 cards from each deck will be dealt face down on the gameboard. The top row of cards in red will be played by the returning champion, while the bottom row of cards in blue will be played by the new challengers.

In the HI LO SHOWDOWN, both players must play the 5 cards dealt, they are unable to freeze or change any cards in this round. The champion's base card is shown first and then s/he is asked to predict if the next card will be higher or lower. A correct call is worth $50, an incorrect call is obviously worth $0. Then the challenger's base card is turned over and s/he is asked "higher or lower". Correct calls are as follows:

  • Base Card - Shown, no money for that
    2nd Card = $50
    3rd Card = $100
    4th Card = $150
    5th Card = $200

Four correct predictions would yield $500. Play alternates between red and blue until the final card. The player who is trailing gets to go first on the final card. If there is a tie, then red goes first. Both players keep all cash won in the HI LO SHOWDOWN, but if one player scores higher than the other, the high scorer wins a $500 bonus as well as a BONUS BAR. The BONUS BAR may be used during match play to change a base card, even if that player did not win a toss-up question. If the BONUS BAR is not used during match play and is carried over to the MONEY CARDS, it can be used to change one extra card. If it's not used at the MONEY CARDS, it then gives the player an additional Joker to use at the JACKPOT CARDS. If there is a duplicate, a double, no money is won (i.e. Lower than a queen and the next card is another queen). If the HI LO SHOWDOWN ends in a tie score, neither player wins the $500 bonus nor the bonus bar, but keep whatever money they won up until the end of the game.

SEGMENT 2: CLASSIC CARD SHARKS

Game #1 of the best 2 out of 3 match is played. The winner of each game wins $500. A maximum of 4 toss up questions are asked, the 4th and final question bringing on sudden death, where somebody has to win on that play of the cards, and the questions are based on surveys of people, usually 100, and it tests players' ability to judge human nature. The red player, the champion is asked the question and asked to give a numeric answer. Once that's done, the blue player is then asked if the correct answer is higher or lower than the answer given by his/her opponent. Turns alternate after each question, meaning blue is asked to give a number and red asked to predict higher or lower than blue's guess, etc. The winner of that toss up question then gets to play their cards. The player winning the toss-up always has the choice of keeping the base card shown, or changing it with the next card from the top of his/her deck. A player may freeze their board at any time if they have an undesirable card. Freezing protects their position, and prevents their opponent from playing their own cards. The first player to get to the end of the board in game #1 wins it, $500, and a chance at a mini-bonus game called "RUN FOR THE MONEY".

Let's not also forget that in addition to the regular deck of 52 playing cards, there are also 12 additional cards in the deck, in which 6 of them are Cash Cards ($500-$5000 in $500 increments), and the other 6 are Prize Cards. They can win up 5 cash/prize cards on their side of the board. However, in order to win any of the bonuses, they must win the game.

During Segment 2, and right after Game 1 of the match is done, all the cards are cleared off, and 5 new cards are dealt out for the winner of Game #1 from the top of his/her same deck. Similar to the HI LO SHOWDOWN, the player must correctly call cards high or low. The payout is now $300 for Card #2, $400 for Card #3, $800 for Card #4, and $1,000 for Card #5. Any money won is theirs to keep, but if they call all 4 correctly, without any doubles, they win the RUN FOR THE MONEY Jackpot which starts at $10,000 and grows by $5,000 per show until won.

SEGMENT 3:
Game 2 of the match. Played exactly the same as Game #1. Also during this segment, if the match is tied up, a rubber game of the match is played, but only 3 cards are dealt instead of 5, and only 1 toss-up question is played, and the cards are played as they would be in SUDDEN DEATH. In all cases, SUDDEN DEATH means the player in control of the board can change their base card if they wish, or they may pass to their opponent who may not change their base card (Unless they previously won the BONUS BAR during the HI LO SHOWDOWN round). One incorrect call by one player means the other player wins the game by default.

SEGMENT 4: The MONEY CARDS.
A new deck of 56 playing cards, including 4 Jokers, is shuffled & cut, and 3 cards are dealt out on the bottom row. The player starts with brand new money to bet with, $1,000. On the 2nd row, 3 more cards are dealt out and another $2,500 of betting money is added. When the player gets to the final card at the top, the BIG BET, they must risk at least half their money. 3 spare cards are dealt to the left of the Money Cards board, and the player may change 1 card per line by selecting one of those 3 cards. If they have the BONUS BAR, they can change any card on any level with one of the spare cards as well. Minimum bets are $100 each time until the BIG BET. Furthermore, if there is a double, money is not won or lost, it's a "push". The exception being the BIG BET. If you have $36,000 and an ace, and you bet it all lower, and another ace comes up at the BIG BET, all is lost. This is done to add an element of drama to the game, and to test a player's mettle. Players could win up to $168,000 if they play their cards right. If they find a Joker, they will have an additional chance at the JACKPOT CARDS, and another card will be replaced.

SEGMENT 5: The JACKPOT CARDS.
Should a player call at least 3 cards correctly (out of 7) in the Money Cards, AND they don't bust at the BIG BET, they are then eligible to play the JACKPOT cards during the 5th & final segment. 7 cards that spell out the word "JACKPOT" are on a board. 1 of them has a "$" on it, 1 of them says "TRIP", 1 of them says "CAR", and the other 4 say "NO". The TRIP and CAR cards are self-explanatory, but to win money from the JACKPOT CARDS, the player must find the "$" card. They will get one of the 4 Jokers automatically since they are the champion. They can win 3 additional Jokers from the Deck. Also, if they have the BONUS BAR left over, they can trade it for an additional Joker. The Jackpot Cards works as follows:

  • 3 Money Cards called right - $7,500
    4 Money Cards called right - $10,000
    5 Money Cards called right - $15,000
    6 Money Cards called right - $20,000
Get all 7 Money Cards called right (a tie is not counted as a correct call) - $50,000 (+ $5,000 for each show it's not won or not played for, until won).

The additional jackpots for the RUN FOR THE MONEY and JACKPOT CARDS games are more of the "plusses" to CARD SHARKS PLUS. If a player busts on the MONEY CARDS at the BIG BET, or if they predict less than 3 cards correctly at the MONEY CARDS, they are disqualified from having a chance to play the JACKPOT CARDS, and the losing contestant from the match gets a chance to play them instead for a $2,000 added consolation prize.

And now, here's the host of Card Sharks Plus, dad90!

(dad90 appears as the logo rises up) (Cheers and Applause)

dad90: Thank you! And welcome to Card Sharks Plus, to where we have taken the best of the Classic Card Sharks from the 70s and the 80s, and added some more games and elements, and we think it's fantastic! Now, let's meet our dealers for Card Sharks Plus, Highschool DxD's Rias Gremory, and Majikoi S's Momoyo Kawakami, as we get to the cards!

Image

Image

Image

DK: OK, ladies. While you deal out the cards, let's meet our first pair of Card Sharks.

Image

Please welcome Tazaro and Catlord.

(Cheers and Applause)

We'll talk to you guys later, but right now, let's start our game by introducing you to our new segment of Card Sharks plus, the Hi-Lo Showdown!

Image

(audience applause)

Now, here's how this works. We're going to take turns calling cards correctly. For the first card that you call correctly, you will win $50. Then the next one for $100, $150 for the third, and $200 for the fourth. You can win up to $500 if you play your cards right.

Also, you cannot freeze the card, and you cannot change the card in the Hi-Lo Showdown. Last, but not least, if you make more money than your opponent, you'll win an extra $500, as well as this.

Image

This is a BONUS BAR. This will help you to change any 1 bad card, or use it as an extra Joker in the JACKPOT CARDS.

Now, that we're all set, let's play the game!

(audience cheers)

Tazaro, since you signed up first, you'll be our designated champion, and will play the red cards, while Catlord, you are the designated challenger, and will play the blue cards. With that in mind, Tazaro, you'll go first, and here's your base card.

Image

It's a King! This first call is for $50.

Now, we go back to Tazaro. You must call off this 7. This call is to add another $100 to your score.

Correct again with a 4, and you now have $150.

(audience applause)

Now we've reached the halfway point, anf Tazaro, it's back over to you. This is add $150 to your score, or in this case, double your money to $300. What's your call on the King?

Oh no!

Another 4 is an incorrect call, so you stay at $150.

Tazaro, this is a golden opportunity here. If you get this last card called correctly, not only you'll win another $200 to bring it up to $500, you'll also win the $500 bonus and the BONUS BAR. With this deuce, you are in very good shape! What's the call?

Let's get you back on track, Catlord. For $200, higher than a 4...

Image

Ouch!

(buzz)

That was very unlikely to see that happen, but never mind. You have $150 to your overall score, and the best part is, that's yours to keep, no matter what happens throughout the rest of the game.

Image

Tazaro, you have $1,000 and the BONUS BAR, so that could be useful to change any 1 base card in the main game or in the MONEY CARDS, or use it for an additional Joker later on in the show.

(Card Sharks' commercial theme plays)

Now, we're going to take a break, and when we come back, we'll play the main portion of Card Sharks Plus, where it's a best 2-out-of-3 match to decide who gets to go the big MONEY CARDS, and the JACKPOT CARDS.

All right, I wish you 2 the best of luck. Now, let's go ahead and play our main portion of Card Sharks Plus, the Classic Card Sharks!

Image

(audience applause)

Both Rias and Momoyo have dealed out the first 5 cards from the top of 2 new decks of 64 playing cards that our players have already cut before the show, and why did I say 64? Well, maybe it's because we have 6 cash cards, and 6 prize cards added to both of their decks of cards.

For our premiere show tonight, some of our prizes will include a brand-new living room, a laptop computer, and a trip to Grenada, which is worth over $8,000. And when it comes to our cash cards, any one of them could be as much as $5,000!

(audience cheers)

I would also like to thank tdawgg3x for creating G2-T2 here. He took a lot of work on that.

(G2-T2 hovers all the way to center stage)

Now, in order to go to the cards, you must correctly answer a High-Low Toss-Up question, in which they are based on unusual surveys. If you want to become champion, you must win 2 games out of 3. Whenever a new game starts, the first question for Game #1 always goes to our champion. In this case, our designated champion, Tazaro, will get the first question.

Image

Tazaro
... we've asked 100 married men, "Have you necked with your wife in a parked car?"

(some people in the audience oohs)

How many of them admit that they have necked with their wife in a parked car?

You are going lower.

Image

(ding)

So, Catlord, if you're right, you'll play your cards. If not, Tazaro will play his.

The actual number of married men who have necked with their wife in a parked car is...

Image

(ding)(ding)(ding)

70 of them, so it's lower.

That means that Catlord, you have a chance to play your cards, and here's your base card.

Image

It's a Queen! Now, Catlord, do you want to play this card or change it?

Lower than a Queen...

Image

Oh no!

(buzz)

Another Queen stops you, and whenever you make an incorrect call, your opponent will automatically play his cards. So Tazaro, this is your base card.

Image

It's a 3! Now, Tazaro, normally you would have to play this card since you didn't answer the question correctly. However, you have the BONUS BAR, so you can use that right now to change your base card, or you can keep the BONUS BAR, and play off the 3. What's your decision?

(audience murmurs)

Well, it's your call, there. But then again, there could a 4 or lower, so he may stop there at right time, so you'll never know. So, Rias will place the freeze arrow down on Tazaro's card...

Image

which will protect your position of the cards, while Momoyo places a new card on Catlord's row.

Image

and we are going to Question #2, which is for you Catlord.

You decide to go higher, but unsure of it.

Image

(ding)

I would think that it's around the 50s here. That would be interesting. Let's see.

The actual number of married men who would be willing to have a baby if science found a way is...

Image

(ding)(ding)(ding)

17 of them! It's not higher, it's lower.

I didn't expect that such a number.

He's going for it, and this is for Game #1 of the match, lower than a Jack...

Image

YES!!

(audience applause as Card Sharks' 76 short win theme plays)

Image

All right, well done, Catlord. You've won $500 for winning Game #1 of the match, bringing your total to $650 so far, while Tazaro has $1,000. Catlord, since you won Game #1, you have won the right to play our new mini-bonus game, Run For The Money!

Image

Image

Image

Catlord, this mini-bonus game is just for you. This works like the Hi-Lo Showdown earlier in the show, but we're playing for more cash. Here's the payout.

Payouts:
Base Card: No Money for it
2nd Card: $300
3rd Card: $400
4th Card: $800
5th Card: $1,000

Now, a new deck of 52 playing cards has been shuffled and cut from our staff before the show, and the first 5 cards have been placed on board by Rias and Momoyo. Now, any money that you accumulate in this bonus game is yours to keep, no matter what happens, but if you call all 4 cards correctly, not only you'll have $2,500 added to your score, but you'll also win the RUN FOR THE MONEY Jackpot, in which it starts at:

RUN FOR THE MONEY JACKPOT:

$10,000

$10,000!

(audience applause)

Now, here's your base card, Catlord.

Image

It's a 10. Now, like the Hi-Lo Showdown, you can't change the card, and you can't freeze. So, this first call is for $300.

You should have listened to the tails' side of that coin! Never mind, you did win $1,200 in this mini-bonus game of RUN FOR THE MONEY, bringing your total overall winnings to $1,850.

RUN FOR THE MONEY
JACKPOT

$15,000

Now, every time the Jackpot is not won here, we'll add another $5,000 to the Jackpot, which means on our next match, the RUN FOR THE MONEY Jackpot of $15,000 could be won by someone.

And with that, we'll be playing Game #2 of the match, but we're going to take a break, so come right back for more of Card Sharks Plus!

Rich Jefferies: Closed captioning for Card Sharks Plus sponsored today by the following--

(Featured Sponsor)

*back to studio*

Image

(Cheers and Applause)

And welcome back to Card Sharks Plus. We're now one of the hottest threads yet. I don't know if it's either because of the ladies, or it's because of our new show. I prefer the latter, and speaking of ladies...

Image

Rias and Momoyo have just placed the next 5 cards from the top of the decks that you both cut before the show on the board.

We're now ready to start Game #2, to where it works just like Game #1, but only this time, there are no mini-bonus games after someone wins this or Game #3, should we go there.

Tazaro, you need to win this game to stay alive and force ourselves into a tiebreaker, while Catlord, you need to win this game to win the match, and become our very first champion.

Image

Now, since Catlord answered the last question in Game #1, Tazaro, you get to answer this first question for Game #2.

Tazaro
... we've surveyed 100 single women and we've asked them, "Have you secretly listened to a man's phone message(s) from other girls?"

(some audience members gasp)

How many of them said that they did listen to a man's phone message(s) from other girls secretly?

You have decided to go lower than 41.

Image

(ding)

Let's see on how we do on this one. The actual number of single women who have listened to a man's phone message(s) from other girls is...

Image

(ding)(ding)(ding)

19 of them, so it is indeed lower.

Catlord, your base card for Game #2 is...

Image

a Jack.

Remember, you can change the base card, but only if you answer the question correctly. So, what do you want to do?

Figures.

Lower than an Ace...

Image

All of that waiting for nothing...

(buzz)

So, Catlord, you lose those 3 cards, and back to the base card you go, but now Tazaro has a free chance to play off this card...

Image

an 8.

(audience groans)

However, even though you didn't answer the question correctly, you do have the BONUS BAR. You can use that to change this card, or you can save the BONUS BAR, and use it later on.

What's your decision?

Catlord is right on that one, as you'll find out what's the difference in a matter of moments.

Lower than a King...

Image

Ouch!

(buzz)

Wow! The cards are not acting nice today, but that's the luck of the cards.

Image

As you can see, Rias and Momoyo have placed the new cards that both of our players have failed on the board now, and we proceed to our next question, in which this one goes to Catlord.

Image

Image

Now
Catlord
... this is an educated guess question. So, think about this carefully.

On "Fantasy Island", how many inches tall was Mr. Roarke's assistant Tattoo?

Tattoo is 5 inches tall....

Since you use metric in Canada, I suppose you meant to say 5 meters. Do you realize that 5 meters = 196.85 inches?

(audience laughs)

If I see someone that tall, it would be the Giant from Jack and The Beanstalk.

(more laughs)

Tazaro, Catlord said 5 inches. I have a feeling what you are going to say, but I need to hear it from you.

Now, we'll move on to the third question for this round.

Image

Tazaro, this question is for you.

Tazaro...
we've asked 100 4th grade girls, "Did your parents ask YOU if they could borrow money from YOUR piggy bank?" How many of these 4th grade girls said their parents DID ask them to borrow money from their piggy bank?

Image

(ding)

Even though I'm in my college years, my parents would still be asking me to borrow money, so let's find out.

The actual number of 4th-grade girls who said that their parents asked them to borrow money from their piggy bank is...

Image

(ding)(ding)(ding)

74 of them. It is indeed higher.

Image

Higher than a 5...

(ding)(ding)(ding)(ding)(ding)

(Card Sharks' match win theme plays)

Image

Catlord, you've won another $500 for winning Game #2, and your total so far is $2,350. Tazaro, unfortunately, the cards were not on your side, but that's the way the game is played sometimes. You did win $1,000 from the Hi-Lo Showdown portion. Thanks for playing, and ladies and gentlemen, give it up for Tazaro.

(audience applause)

Now, when we come back, Catlord will be going to the Big Money cards, where he could win up to $168,000, and then to the Jackpot Cards, to where he can win an additional $50,000! Stay tuned!

With that in ready, let's go to the Money Cards!!!!

(Money Cards theme plays, Cheers and Applause)

Image

This is where the champion wants to be: The Money Cards, to where you could win up to $168,000 if you play your cards right! And here's how...

Image

You'll begin the game with $1,000 on the bottom line... three cards to bet as you will.

Image

When you move up to the second level, we'll add $2,500 of betting money and three more cards.

For the first two levels, minimum bets are $100...

Image

until you get to the top of the card, the Big Bet. There, you must risk at least half the money.

And if at any event you get a push, you don't lose any of it and your bet carries over. However, at the BIG BET, if it's a push, it's a loss.

That is important, because the more correct calls you make, the better the Jackpot to shoot for at the JACKPOT CARDS.

3 Money Cards called right - $7,500
4 Money Cards called right - $10,000
5 Money Cards called right - $15,000
6 Money Cards called right - $20,000
Get all 7 Money Cards called right (a tie is not counted as a correct call) - $50,000

If you make 2 calls right or less, you'll be playing for a $2,000 consolation prize.

And to make sure that you indeed have a chance at the Jackpot Cards...

Image

You have been given 1 Free Joker that Momoyo is holding, and there are 3 more Jokers in the deck, so you can win up to 4 chances at the Jackpot Cards, but if only you make at least 3 correct cards.

With all that said, Catlord, I wish you the best of luck. Here's $1,000.

Image

(ding)

Also, in case if you're stuck with a middle card, you can use one of the three spare cards to change one card per line. You'll begin the game with $1,000 and...

Image

an 8. Not so much of a good card. What do you want to do?

All right! A Big Bet here!

$11,000, lower than an Ace...

Image

IT'S A DEUCE!!!

(audience cheers)

Image

(ding)

A great card, and not a moment too soon, as the deuce goes up to the Big Bet...

Image

Now, you have $22,050. You can change the card, but I have a feeling that you don't want to because of this Deuce!

However, you should listen up! If another 2 pops up, you WILL lose that bet, but anything other than a 2, and you will WIN your bet. You could win $44,100 on this card, but you must bet AT LEAST $11,025 on this card.

With all of this in mind, you are in great shape of doubling up. Are you going to change this card, or play it? If you are playing this card, in which I'm sure you do, what's your call, and what's your Big Bet?

DK: Welcome back everybody to Card Sharks Plus, to where Catlord is about to play The Jackpot Cards!

Image

I want to thank Doug Morris from dougmorris.net for making these letters. I always intend to give credit where credit is due, so I won't run into trouble.

Now, we have our Jackpot Cards. One of them says 'TRIP', another one says 'CAR', and of course, one has a "$".

Let's look at our table.

3 Money Cards called right - $7,500
4 Money Cards called right - $10,000
5 Money Cards called right - $15,000
6 Money Cards called right - $20,000
Get all 7 Money Cards called right (a tie is not counted as a correct call) - $50,000

You have managed to call all 7 right from the Money Cards, which means you are going for the Jackpot of $50,000!

(audience cheers)

That's the good news. However, the bad news is you only have one Joker, which means you only have one chance at our Jackpot Cards.

Now, if you find the TRIP card, you'll be going on a cruise to the Bahamas...

(audience oohs)

find the CAR card, and you'll be driving off in a new 2013 Honda Civic EX sedan...

(audience oohs louder)

but if you find the "$", you'll win our Jackpot of $50,000!

(audience cheers and applause)

Catlord, place the Joker under one of the numbers that you think is lucky.

OK, you have to decided to place on C, in the hopes that it's the Cash or the Car.

Image

Thank you, Rias.

Now, I wish you the best of luck.

Is the big Jackpot behind number 3?

Image

No.

(Buzzer, TPIR Losing Horns, Audience Groans...)

What's going to hurt more is when I reveal where the goodies were hiding...

Image

(More Groans)

You were one away from winning the car, but you were not even close to the trip or the Jackpot...

However, there is good news. For each NO that is revealed, you win $500. So, $500 for finding one NO, and so far your total is...

Image

$46,950 in cash.

(audience applause)

3 Money Cards called right - $7,500
4 Money Cards called right - $10,000
5 Money Cards called right - $15,000
6 Money Cards called right - $20,000
Get all 7 Money Cards called right (a tie is not counted as a correct call) - $55,000

Also, since the Jackpot has not been won, we'll add $5,000 to it, meaning that someone could win $55,000 in our Jackpot Cards.

Catlord, the bad news is you didn't find the Jackpot, but the good news is you are the champion, and you get to face a new challenger.

We'll do that right after these words.

DK: Welcome back to Card Sharks Plus! Catlord, so far you have won $46,950 in cash. You are in the red(champion)position, and you have a new challenger coming your way. Come on out.

(StrangerCoug comes out)

Please welcome StrangerCoug!

(audience applause)

We'll find out about you later, but right now, let's move to our first part, the Hi-Lo Showdown.

Image

Image

(Go to the first page for the rules)

With all of this in mind, let's go to Catlord, and here's your base card.

Image

And it's a 9. Now, remember, in the Hi-Lo Showdown, you cannot change the card, and you cannot freeze.

Get this one right, and you'll win $50.

Nope!

(buzz)

A 6 gives you no money, and Catlord is at $50.

Now, Catlord, you have a 6. What's your call on this card? This is for $100.

For $100, higher than a 6...

Image

right with a Queen.

As we reached the halfway point, Catlord has $150, and StrangerCoug has $100.

Catlord, you have a 7. Get this call right, and you'll win $150.

Now, let's see if we can double your money if this card is higher than a 7.

Image

No.

(buzz)

Now, you do have an easier card, Catlord, but it's StrangerCoug's turn now.

Call this Queen right, and I'll give you $150.

I suggest that you wait a bit, but it'll be your turn shortly.

As for StrangerCoug, he wants this card to be a lower than a Queen...

Image

and he gets it with an 8.

(ding)

So, Catlord has $150, and StrangerCoug now has $250.

Now, we're at the last cards for the Hi-Lo Showdown. Whoever has the most money after this will get the BONUS BAR, and a $500 cash bonus.

Catlord, get this one right, and you'll win $200.

StrangerCoug, the pressure is on. You have an 8. If you get this card right, not only you'll win $200 on this call, but you'll win an extra $500, and the BONUS BAR. If not, Catlord will get the extra $500 and the BONUS BAR.

Image

Catlord has $850 and the BONUS BAR, while StrangerCoug has $250.

Now when we come back, we're going to play the main portion of Card Sharks Plus! Don't go away.

DK: All right, and we are back for more of Card Sharks Plus! As you can see, Catlord has the BONUS BAR on his side, and StrangerCoug is his challenger. Now, we are ready to go into the heart of the game: Classic Card Sharks!

Image

And Rias and Momoyo have placed the first 5 cards from 2 new decks that our players shuffled and cut in front of our audience on the board, and we also have Cash Cards and Prize Cards added to the deck as well.

For this 2-out-of-3 match, some of our Prize Cards may have a Portable Hot Tub worth over $3,000...

(audience oohs)

and a trip to Rome, which is worth over $6,000.

(audience cheers)

And let's not forget about our Cash Cards, in which it could be anywhere from $500 to $5,000!

(more cheers as G2-T2 hovers all the way to center stage)

Now, let's not waste any more time, and let's begin our match with Game #1, in which our first question always go to our champion.

Image

Catlord
.... we've asked 100 married women, "If your husband took his clothes off and put a bag over his head, would you be able to recognize him?" How many of these married women said they would be able to recognize their husband?

All right, Catlord is going with 75...

Image

(ding)

and StrangerCoug goes lower.

Image

(ding)

Now, if StrangerCoug is right, he'll play the cards first. If not, Catlord will play his.

The actual number of married women who would be able to recognize their husband with a bag over his head is...

Image

(ding)(ding)(ding)

90 of them! It's not lower, it is higher.

So, Catlord, you get to play the cards first, and here's your base card.

Image

An 8. Not a good card, but you can change it without using the BONUS BAR since you've won the question.

What's your decision?

Many of them told you to change the card, but you decided to play it, so let's see what happens...

Lower than an 8...

Image

and it pays off with a deuce!

(ding)

(audience cheers)

Now that is unbelievable! Now, you can continue on and play off the deuce or you can freeze here.

You can freeze and protect your position, and not let StrangerCoug play his cards. What would you like to do?

He's going for it, ladies and gentlemen!

(audience applause)

Now this is for Game #1, and a chance to play the "Run For The Money" mini-bonus game, and a $5,000 bonus for going down the line without making a mistake if this card is lower than a 9....

Image

YES!

(ding)

(audience applause as Card Sharks' 76 short win theme plays)

Image

Catlord, you had a lot of guts in you, and it paid off in a big way. For winning Game #1 so quickly, you've won $500, but that's not all. For going down the line without missing a single card in one try, you've won an extra $5,000 in cash!

(audience cheers)

And if that's not enough, you can win an additional $15,000 plus in our mini-bonus of "Run For The Money"!

Image

Image

Image

Catlord, you've played this game before, but let me give a brief explanation on how this works.

This works like the Hi-Lo Showdown earlier in the show, but we're playing for more cash. Here's the payout table.

Payouts:
Base Card: No Money for it
2nd Card: $300
3rd Card: $400
4th Card: $800
5th Card: $1,000

Now, a new deck of 52 playing cards has been shuffled and cut from our staff before the show, and the first 5 cards have been placed on board by Rias and Momoyo. Now, any money that you accumulate in this bonus game is yours to keep, no matter what happens, but if you call all 4 cards correctly, not only you'll have $2,500 added to your score, but you'll also win the RUN FOR THE MONEY Jackpot, in which it's now at:

RUN FOR THE MONEY JACKPOT:

$15,000

$15,000!

(audience cheers)

Now, here's your base card, Catlord.

Image

It's a 7. Now, like the Hi-Lo Showdown, you can't change the card, and you can't freeze. You also can't use the BONUS BAR throughout this mini-bonus game. So, this first call is for $300.

Image

(ding)

So, the total for Run For The Money is $1,400, Catlord.

In this match, Catlord has $7,750, and StrangerCoug has $250. On our next episode of Card Sharks Plus, someone could win our Run For The Money Jackpot, in which it is now at...

RUN FOR THE MONEY JACKPOT:

$20,000

$20,000!

(audience cheers)

Now, we're going to take a break. And when we come back, we'll play Game #2 of the match in which StrangerCoug needs this to tie it up on Card Sharks Plus!

And as you can see, Rias and Momoyo have set up the cards for Game #2. And this first question for Game #2 goes to you StrangerCoug.

Momoyo places the freeze arrow on the 6, protecting StrangerCoug's position, and that means we're going to Question 2, in which this one goes to our champ.

Image

Oh, and this should be a fun one...

That's right, it's Sudden Death, to where someone MUST win on this play of the cards. The question goes to the champ.

Catlord
... we've asked 100 employees, "While you're not enjoying your monotonous task at your job place, you've decided to look for a new job that's suitable to your style. Is it OK to find a new job while you're still working at your old job?" How many of them say yes?

All right, so Catlord says 75 of them will be looking for a new job...

Image

(ding)

and StrangerCoug goes higher than that.

Image

(ding)

This will determine control of the cards. The actual number of employees say it's OK for employees to find a new job while working at your old job is...

Image

(ding)(ding)(ding)

64 of them. It's not higher, it's lower.

That means that Catlord gets control of the cards.

Image

Now Catlord, since this is Sudden Death, you have an important decision to make.

If you want to play, you have to call all 4 of your cards right. Since you also won the question, you have the ability to change the 10 if you wish. If you are unhappy with that change, you can use the BONUS BAR to make another change. If you make 1 mistake at any time, then StrangerCoug wins Game #2, and we will go to our Tiebreaker.

However, you can pass control to StrangerCoug and he has to play off the 8, but he's 2 cards away from winning Game #2, but if he makes 1 mistake, then you win Game #2 and the Match, and you'll become champion once again.

So Catlord, what do you want to do? Play or Pass?

StrangerCoug, Catlord has passed control to you. You have to get these 2 cards right, or else Catlord will be champion again. You must play off the 8, so call this.

Lower than an 8...

Image

YES, with a 4!

(audience applause) (ding)

StrangerCoug, the only thing that stands between you and winning Game #2 is this one card. Get it right, and you'll stay in the game. If not, Catlord will be our champion. What's the call on this card?

If this card is higher, you take Game #2. If it's another 4 or lower, than Catlord remains champion.

Higher than a 4...

Image

WE HAVE A TIE GAME!

(ding)(ding)(ding)

(audience applause as Card Sharks' 78 short win theme plays)

Image

StrangerCoug, well done! You have taken Game #2 and $500 which takes your total to $750, which not only means that you'll still in the game...

Image

but that also means it's time for Game #3, the Tiebreaker game! Rias, Momoyo. Set up the cards for the deciding game!

Image

Now, for our Tiebreaker Game, Rias and Momoyo have 3 cards instead of 5. Also, there is only 1 question for this game, which means it's once again time for...

Image

Sudden Death, to where someone MUST win on this final play of the cards.

The final question of this match goes to the challenger. It's a little long, so listen carefully.

StrangerCoug
... we've asked 100 cable subscribers, "Now that G4 is off the air, there's only one video game program that airs every late Thursday night on a different cable network. Do you think that we need a 24 hour video game channel on both cable and digital satellite?" How many of them say we do need a new 24 hour video game network?

Catlord is going higher.

Image

(ding)

I have a feeling that it's going to be higher too, since I want to see a new 24 hour video game network as well.

Now, control here is very important. The actual number of cable subscribers say they need a 24 hour video game network on cable and dish is...

Image

(ding)(ding)(ding)

74 of them! It's much higher.

Catlord, you have control of the cards, and since this is Sudden Death, I'm going to turn over yours and StrangerCoug's base cards.

Image

Uh-oh! Catlord, your base card is a 6, while StrangerCoug's base card is a deuce!

Now, you have a BIG decision to make.

If you want to play, you have to call these 2 cards right. You can change the 6 since you have won the question, and you can use the BONUS BAR if you don't like the first exchange. If you make a mistake, then StrangerCoug will be our new champion.

However, you can pass control to StrangerCoug and he has an easy deuce, but anything can happen with these, and if he makes 1 mistake, then you will retain your title.

So Catlord, what do you want to do? Play or Pass?

Good move, Catlord.

Let's hope for the best, as your 6 is now...

Image

Ouch! Another 6!

(audience groans)

Catlord, you don't have to play off this 6, because you got that BONUS BAR. With middle cards like this one, this may be a good time to use that to change this card.

So, what do you want to do?

Higher than a 5....

Image

and you are correct with a 10!

(ding)

Now, Catlord. It all comes down to this one card. Get it right, and you'll be the champion again. Otherwise, StrangerCoug will be the new champion. So, what's your call on this 10?

If this card is lower than a 10, then you'll be the champion.

If, however, for some reason, if this card NOT higher a 10, then the new champion will be StrangerCoug.

So, for a trip to the Money Cards, and the Jackpot Cards, lower than a 10....

Image

OH NO! IT'S A JACK!

(buzz) (audience groans)

CATLORD, YOU JUST GOT JACKED AS STRANGERCOUG IS THE NEW CHAMPION!!!!

Image

(Card Sharks match win theme plays)

I'm sorry that the Jack came at that time, but you are walking away a winner to the tune of $54,700.

Image

Ladies and Gentlemen, give it up for Catlord!

(audience cheers and applause)

StrangerCoug, it came down to that one card, and it causes you to be the new champion, and you could win over $200,000 at the Big Money Cards and The Jackpot Cards, which are all coming up next!

We are back with our new champion, StrangerCoug, who so far has won $1,250. Catlord had a tough decision to make at the Sudden Death Tiebreaker, and that Jack bit him big time giving you the win. How did you feel when the Jack showed up, StrangerCoug?

It must have been very stressful at the Sudden Death Tiebreaker. I can tell you that the cards can be a KILLER sometimes. Let's hope it doesn't kill your chances at the big Jackpot of $55,000 at the Jackpot Cards. But before we get to that, you have to earn your way to play for the Jackpot at the Jackpot Cards by calling all 7 cards right at the big Money Cards, in which you could win up to $168,000! Are you ready for that, StrangerCoug?

Then let's go to the Money Cards!!!!

(Money Cards theme plays, Cheers and Applause)

Image

Now, I've heard that you hosted Card Sharks for quite some time, so I have a feeling that you know how to play the game, but for our version, we have raised the stakes a bit, and now you could win as much as $168,000 in the Bonus Round of The Money Cards! And here's how for those of you know who may not know on how this works....

3 Money Cards called right - $7,500
4 Money Cards called right - $10,000
5 Money Cards called right - $15,000
6 Money Cards called right - $20,000
Get all 7 Money Cards called right (a tie is not counted as a correct call) - $55,000

If you make 2 calls right or less, or bust at the second level or at the BIG BET, your opponent will play the Jackpot Cards for a $2,000 consolation prize.

With all that said, StrangerCoug, I wish you the best of luck. Here's $1,000.

Image

(ding)

Also, in case if you're stuck with a middle card, you can use one of the three spare cards to change one card per line. You'll begin the game with $1,000 and...

Image

a Jack. Do you want to play this card or change it one of the three spare cards?

$100, lower than a Jack...

Image

Ooh...

(buzz)

Image

It's a good thing that you went the minimum bet there, but you won't be playing for the Big Jackpot now, but you can still win a lot of money.

So, let's keep going. You have $900 and a Queen.

Now, you have $15,000 and we're going to move the 7 up to the Big Bet...

Now, you can play this card or change it. If you play this card, you must bet at least $7,500. Also, if another 7 comes up, it counts as a loss, and you will lose your bet. So, what do you want to do?

a 6....

With that in mind, for a chance to add $7,500 to your credit, we want this card to be higher than a 6...

Image

There you go!

(ding)

(audience applause as '76 Card Sharks Match Win theme plays)

Image

Well done, StrangerCoug! $22,500 in the Money Cards, so your total so far is $23,750!

DK: Welcome back everybody to Card Sharks Plus, to where we're going to wrap up our Premiere Show on the 4th of July with StrangerCoug at The Jackpot Cards!

Image

Now, we have our Jackpot Cards. One of them says 'TRIP', another one says 'CAR', and of course, one has a "$".

Let's look at our table.

3 Money Cards called right - $7,500
4 Money Cards called right - $10,000
5 Money Cards called right - $15,000
6 Money Cards called right - $20,000

Get all 7 Money Cards called right (a tie is not counted as a correct call) - $55,000

Now, you had a rough start with that Queen earlier, but it's been uphill from there, and you called 6 out of the 7 Money Cards correctly, which means you are playing $20,000!

(audience cheers)

If you find the 'TRIP', you're going to San Antonio, Texas!

(audience oohs)

If you find the "$", you'll win $20,000!

(audience cheers)

BUT! If you find the 'CAR', you'll win this....

Image

Rich:
It's a Ford Edge!

(audience cheers)

The 2013 Ford Edge SE has all the standard equipment along with four wheel drive, a V6 engine and auto transmission. The Ford Edge!!! It's a prize worth more than $27,000!!!

(audience cheers)

DK: Thanks, Rich!

Image Image

StrangerCoug, you have 2 Jokers. That means you could win up to 2 out of the 3 prizes. Place those Jokers under the numbers/letters you want to choose, and good luck!

All right. Numbers 2 and 3.

Image

And they are in place.

Now, let's start at number 2 first. Do we have anything hiding behind the letter A?

Image

No.

(buzz)

But you still have #3 to go. Let's hope that one of the major prizes is behind the letter C....

Image

IT'S THE CASH! TWENTY THOUSAND DOLLARS!!

Image

(ding-ding-ding)

(audience cheers as 76' Card Sharks Match Win theme plays)

That takes your total so far to $43,750!!

Image

Now, let's reveal where the others were...

Image

The CAR was at number 1, and the TRIP is at number 6.

We'll be back to wrap up our premiere episode right after this.

Now, that we're all set, let's play the game!

StrangerCoug, you are the champion, so you get the Red Cards, and Shiidaji as the challenger gets the Blue Cards StrangerCoug, we're going to start with you, and your base card is....

and gets it correct with a Queen!

(ding)

Now, let's recap before we turn over the final cards. StrangerCoug has some trouble with those middle cards and has $200. Shiidaji is on a perfect streak and has $300.

StrangerCoug, if you want the BONUS BAR, you have to call this card right, or else Shiidaji will get the BONUS BAR. With a 7, it's pretty difficult. This is for $200.

StrangerCoug, you now have $400. Shiidaji, this last call is for $200. Get this right, and you'll not only win $200 here, but you'll win an extra $500 and the BONUS BAR. Get it wrong, and StrangerCoug gets the extra $500 and the BONUS BAR.

This card will decide who gets $500 and the BONUS BAR and to complete the Hi-Lo Showdown.

For $200, an extra $500, and the BONUS BAR, is this card lower than a Queen?

Image

Yes it is!

(ding)(ding)(ding)

Image

Shiidaji, your total is now $1,000, and you got the BONUS BAR. You can use it to change one of the cards either in the Match, or in the big Money Cards, or trade it for an extra Joker in the Jackpot Cards.

However, if you want to go to the Money Cards and the Jackpot Cards, you must win the match in our Main Portion of Card Sharks Plus: Classic Card Sharks.

That is coming up next.

DK: OK, Shii, good luck to you. Now, we're about to play the main portion of this game: Classic Card Sharks! I have a feeling that these 2 know how to play this part of the game.

Image

And Rias and Momoyo have placed the first 5 cards from 2 new decks that our players shuffled and cut in front of our audience on the board, and we also have Cash Cards and Prize Cards added to the deck as well.

For this 2-out-of-3 match, some of our Prize Cards will include a wonderful trip to Australia worth more than $7,000...

(audience cheers)

and our Cash Cards, in which it could be anywhere from $500 to $5,000!

(more cheers as G2-T2 hovers all the way to center stage)

Now, let's not waste any more time, and let's begin our match with Game #1, in which our first question always go to our champion.

Image

Oh, and we're starting off with a good question since Valentine's Day is coming...

StrangerCoug
.... we've asked 100 secretaries, "Are you in love with your boss?"

(some audience holler)

How many secretaries said that they are in love with their boss?

I wouldn't be surprised.

Image

(ding)

(audience applause)

Some of them agree as well. If it's higher than 25, StrangerCoug will play his cards. If it's lower Shiidaji will play hers.

The actual number of secretaries said they are in love with their boss is....

Image

(ding)(ding)(ding)

7 of them. It's very much lower.

Shii, you have control of the cards. Now, since you've the question, you can change the card without using the BONUS BAR. If you're not happy with that change, you can use the BONUS BAR for a second change. Right now, this is your base card...

Image

a 7...

(audience oohs)

A middle card right off the gate. Play it or change it?

Whenever you win the question, you have the right to change one card.

We'll see if fate is in store for her.

Lower than a King...

Image

Right with an 8!

(ding)

Now, you have a decision from this point on. You can keep going and play on and call the next card higher or lower, but be careful, especially with cards like this one, because if you play on and get it wrong, you'll lose progress all the way back to the base card, and your opponent will automatically play his cards.

However, if you want to be safe, you can freeze, which will protect your position, and keep your opponent from playing his cards.

One more thing. You cannot use the BONUS BAR at this time, as it's only available when changing the base card.

So, with all that in mind Shii, what do you want to do?

(audience applause)

So, Momoyo will place the freeze arrow down on Shiidaji's card...

Image

Image

and we are going to Question #2, which is for you Shiidaji.

Shiidaji
, we've asked 100 bartenders, "Have you sipped a customer's drink?" How many of these bartenders said Yes, they have sipped a customer's drink?

Shiidaji believes that 14 bartenders...

have sipped their customer's drink, while StrangerCoug believes it's higher.

Image

(ding)

Now then, let's see what happens here. The actual number of bartenders have sipped the customer's drink is...

Image

(ding)(ding)(ding)

23 of them. It's a little higher.

That means StrangerCoug gets to play his base card...

Image

Look at you, it's an Ace!

For Game #1, and a chance to play the "Run For The Money" mini-bonus game, and a $5,000 bonus for going down the line without making a mistake, higher than a 2....

Image

YES!

(ding)

(audience applause as Card Sharks' 76 short win theme plays)

Image

StrangerCoug, you've managed to go all the way with some of those lucky cards, and for that, not only you've won $500 for this game, but for sweeping it in one go, you've won an extra $5,000!

(audience cheers)

And there's more! You can win over $20,000 in our mini-bonus game of "Run For The Money"!

Image

Image

Image

StrangerCoug, this is your first time here, so let me explain how this works.

$20,000

$20,000!

(audience cheers)

Now, here's your base card, StrangerCoug.

Image

It's a 5. Now, like the Hi-Lo Showdown, you can't change the card, and you can't freeze. This first call is for $300.

StrangerCoug is going higher than a 9 for $1,000....

Which means the total for Run For The Money for you StrangerCoug is $1,100.

So far in this match, StrangerCoug has $7,000, and Shiidaji has $1,000. On the next match of Card Sharks Plus, someone could win the Run For The Money Jackpot, in which it is now at...

RUN FOR THE MONEY JACKPOT:

$25,000

$25,000!

(audience cheers)

Now, we're going to take a break. And when we come back, we'll play Game #2 of the match in which Shiidaji needs this to tie it up on Card Sharks Plus!

DK: And welcome back to Card Sharks Plus! We're ready to start Game #2, to where StrangerCoug needs this to retain his championship, while Shiidaji needs this to tie things up.

Image

All right, Rias and Momoyo have placed the next 5 cards from the top of the 2 decks that were played from the first game. Remember the cards that were already played.

Image

Now, without further ado, let's start Game 2, with the first question going to our champion.

StrangerCoug
.... we've asked 100 men in the US Marines, "Have you cried during Basic Training?" How many of these men in the Marines said Yes, they have cried during Basic Training?

Shiidaji, you have important control of the cards, and your base card is...

Shiidaji

And StrangerCoug goes higher than that.

Image

And JDGA, I have a feeling that you don't need to eat your hat out of this one.

The actual number of male high school students who have tried to fool their teacher doing that is...

Image

(ding)(ding)(ding)

57 of them. It's higher, which means StrangerCoug has control of the cards.

StrangerCoug, your base card is...

If this card is higher than an 8, we're going to the Sudden Death Tiebreaker!

For Game #2, and to tie up the match, is this card higher than an 8?

Image

NO!

(buzz)

That means we discard the 8 and the 6...

Image

And both Rias and Momoyo will place them with new cards from the top of the deck...

Image

Which means we go into our 3rd question...

Image

and this one goes to our champ. And this is a GOOD one.

Strangercoug

OK, StrangerCoug believes that 75 of these would have their husband complement them when he saw her naked...

Image

(ding)

while Shiidaji is going higher than that.

Image

(ding)

If I was in a situation like that, I would give her some space, because I'm a gentleman.

(some men boo)

Take no notice from them. Anyways, the actual number of these married women who said their husband complemented her is...

Image

(ding)(ding)(ding)

68 of them. It's not higher, it's lower. So StrangerCoug has control of the cards.

Image

StrangerCoug, you have a 5. Would you like to keep that card or change it?

Higher than a 5...

Image

correct with a 7.

(ding)

Now, you have to think about this. 7 is an unlucky card in this game, because it could go either way.

So, do you want to keep going or freeze here? If you freeze, we're going to Sudden Death.

That would be a wise choice in this situation.

Image

So, you know what that means? We're at our 4th and final question of Game #2, which means it's time for...

Image

That's right, it's Sudden Death, to where someone has to win it on this possible-penultimate play of the cards.

This goes to our challenger.

Shiidaji
... we've surveyed 100 school children and we asked them, "If you found out that your teacher was a teacher who is super strict on you but nice to everyone else in the class, would you pull a prank on the teacher to try and get them to be nicer to you?" How many of them said that they would pull a prank on the teacher?

OK, Shiidaji says that 33 of them would pull a prank on the teacher in order to get the teacher to be nicer...

Image

(ding)

while StrangerCoug goes lower than that.

Image

(ding)

Now, this will turn out to be a surprise for everyone, but keep in mind that this is Sudden Death, so control of the cards is very important.

The actual number of school children who said that they would pull a prank on the teacher is...

Image

(ding)(ding)(ding)

45 of them, believe it or not, so it's not lower; it's higher. Which means Shiidaji has control.

Image

Now, Shiidaji, let me explain the situation we're in right now.

You have a 3, and you are two cards away from tying up the match, while StrangerCoug has a 7, and need 3 cards to win the championship.

You now have an important decision to make. Since you've won the question, you can play this 3, and take down the remaining 2 cards on yourself. You can also change the card if you wish. The important part here is if you make ONE mistake, StrangerCoug will win the match.

OR, you can pass control of the cards to StrangerCoug, in which he MUST play off the 7, because he didn't win the question, and has to go through those 3 cards. If he makes ONE mistake, then you will win Game #2, $500, tie up the match, and go into the tiebreaker to decide who our champion is.

With all that said Shiidaji, what are you going to do?

Shiidaji is going for it. Is this card higher than a 3?

Image

Yes, with a 7!

(ding)

Now Shiidaji, if you get this last card right, you'll tie the match. If not, StrangerCoug will be our champion. What's the call here?

Very well, then Shiidaji is going higher.

If this last card is higher, she will be lucky as the game will be tied, but if it isn't, then StrangerCoug will be our champion again.

For Game #2, $500, and to force ourselves into the Tiebreaker, is this card higher than a 7?

Image

NO!!!

(buzz) (audience groans)

And that means that StrangerCoug is our champion once again!!!

Image

(dings as Card Sharks 76' Match Win theme plays)

Shiidaji, you went for it, and it didn't pay off, but you won't go away empty-handed. You did win $1,000 from the Hi-Lo Showdown, so you get that as well as some parting gifts. Thanks for playing Shiidaji.

(audience applause as StrangerCoug comes down and meets dad90)

StrangerCoug, you got lucky there, as Shiidaji's mistake has given you the match, and your total for this match is $7,500.

And we'll add that to your previous winnings, which means your total so far for 2 shows is $51,250!!!

$51,250

And you also have the chance to go to the Money Cards, and then the Jackpot Cards, where you could win almost $200,000 if you play your cards right. We'll see on how well StrangerCoug does on the Money Cards this time around right after we do this.

(audience applause and cheers)

No, no. I had to other important things, like getting a Job for instance. Currently, I'm jobless.

And you, StrangerCoug is currently the champion with $51,250 in cash!

Are you ready to play the Big Money Cards?

Then let's go to the Money Cards!!!!

(Money Cards theme plays, Cheers and Applause)

Image

You've been here before, and you know how this works. But for those who don't know how this works I'll explain....

3 Money Cards called right - $7,500
4 Money Cards called right - $10,000
5 Money Cards called right - $15,000
6 Money Cards called right - $20,000
Get all 7 Money Cards called right (a tie is not counted as a correct call) - $60,000

If you make 2 calls right or less, or bust at the second level or at the BIG BET, your opponent will play the Jackpot Cards for a $2,000 consolation prize.

With all that said, StrangerCoug, I wish you the best of luck. Here's $1,000.

Image

(ding)

Also, in case if you're stuck with a middle card, you can use one of the three spare cards to change one card per line. You'll begin the game with $1,000 and...

Image

Well now, it's another Joker!

(applause)

So, you now have 2 chances at The Jackpot Cards! We've got 2 more Jokers either in the deck or on the board. So, we'll take that Joker and give it to Momoyo, and I'll place another card on the board.

Let's see what we got here...

Image

What a start here; it's a Deuce!

(cheers and applause)

Do you want to play this card and bet or change it?

I wouldn't be at the least bit surprised.

Let's go. $1,000, higher than a 2...

Too easy.

Going for it again.

$2,000. Lower than an Ace...

Image

Correct with a 6.

Image

(ding)

Now, you have $4,000 and the 6, which is kind of a sour card. What's it going to be?

There we go.

Minimum bet of $100. Higher than a 6...

Image

Right with a King!

Image

(ding)

Now, we move the King to the 2nd level...

Image

and we'll give you another $2,500 of betting money...

Image

(ding)

Now, you can play this King or change it.

All right, betting big, but not going gung-ho, and I can see why. Anytime a player BUSTS at the second level or the BIG BET, it's over.

$6,500, lower than a King...

Image

Correct with an 8!

Image

(ding)

Now you have $13,100 and this nasty 8 here. Play this card or change it?

Now is indeed a good time to change it. Let's hope it's a good one.

The 8 is now...

Image

a 9...

(audience groans)

Obviously not a good change here, but you have $13,100 and this 9. What's it going to be?

Good move. $100, lower than a 9....

Image

Whoops!

(buzz)

Image

The good news is you've made minimal damage on that.

The bad news is with that wrong call, the big Jackpot is out of reach, but let's keep going. $13,000 and a Queen, a good card.

Let's see if it pays off.

$12,000, lower than a Queen...

Image

Correct, but just barely!

Image

(ding)

Now, we move the Jack to the Big Bet...

Image

and this is where you have a big decision to make.

You can play this Jack if you want to, and if you are, you must bet at least $12,500 on this card. Or if you want, you can change it with the last replacement in the hopes it's a better card.

Also, keep this in mind. If another Jack pops up, you'll lose the bet you've wagered.

What are you going to do?

Now, this is for $37,500 or $12,500, is this card lower than a Jack?

Image

Boom!

(ding)

(audience applause as '76 Card Sharks Match Win theme plays)

Image

Well done, StrangerCoug! $37,500 in the Money Cards, so your total so far is $88,750!

Now, when we come back, StrangerCoug will be going to THE JACKPOT CARDS!

DK: Welcome back everybody to Card Sharks Plus, and after going through almost a week of going through interviews on getting a job, I've now got enough time to bring out The Jackpot Cards!

Image

Now, we have our Jackpot Cards. One of them says 'TRIP', another one says 'CAR', and of course, one has a "$".

Let's look at our table.

3 Money Cards called right - $7,500
4 Money Cards called right - $10,000
5 Money Cards called right - $15,000
6 Money Cards called right - $20,000

Get all 7 Money Cards called right (a tie is not counted as a correct call) - $60,000

Now, you did well in the Money Cards, but the 9 really screwed you up there, but you called 6 out of the 7 Money Cards correctly, which means you are playing $20,000!

(audience cheers)

If you find the 'TRIP', you're going to Orlando, Florida!

(audience oohs)

If you find the 'CAR', you'll win this....

Image

Rich:
It's a Ford Focus!

(audience cheers)

It's the 2014 Ford Focus SE sedan, a small car with personality. Comes with standard features, plus 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine, AM/FM/CD stereo with SiriusXM Satellite Radio, leather-wrapped steering wheel, backup camera, cargo net and engine block heater. This is the Ford Focus! It's a prize worth more than $19,000!

(audience cheers)

DK: Thanks, Rich! Of course, if you find the "$", you'll win $20,000!

(audience cheers)

Image Image

StrangerCoug, you have 2 Jokers. That means you could win up to 2 out of the 3 prizes. Place those Jokers under the numbers/letters you want to choose, and good luck!
