I think I saw you on briefly too. I haven't had time to really get into the swing of it yet and have been playing the campaign.

I keep seeing people post "Klaz" and it brings me back to my SC2GG days with Klazart.

I miss that Irish fuck.

jazzed off a win I got last Night against 2 Harder AI players after my online ally (who ragequit) left me on my own

basically, when I told him I liked using a straight-to-Carriers build, he scoffed, said some BS about "oh that won't work because the AI uses a perfectly balanced build blahblahblah" and when he expanded too early we got attacked - I got my first Carrier just in time to save us (at about 7 minutes?) but he ragequit before I effectively mopped up his mess

I continued on, using his 2 Hatcheries to harass with Zerglings and Roaches, but pouring all the Gas from his 2 bases into a Golden Armada that trounced both AI's before 20 minutes were up

twas fun

I always mass mutas against AI. The AI isn't very good at balancing attacking and responding to harassment.

I just need a partner who can repel the first wave, and it can beat anything up to Very Hard.

Before HotS came out, I had fun playing monobattles :D
Now I need to save up $40 for that expansion <_<

not necessarily, HotS people can just temporarily "downgrade" to WoL stuff - that's the beauty of having the online / linked profiles / games and shit

but HotS people don't get the fancy new XP stuffs if they play with WoL expansion level, so yeah we'd yell at you to get HotS before long anyway... XD

Well I know that but I still want HotS.

Also if I get it beating the campaign will be hell because I suck at playing Zerg.

just mass Zerglings and Hydralisks and sometimes Mutalisks...not that hard unfortunately

I just got all 3 achievements (which only requires playing on Normal now, booooo) on a Mission where you fight a rogue Broodmother - the ONLY military unit I made was Zerglings and some Banelings from the Zerglings, and I suck as Zerg too (ask Klazam)

Massing Hydralisks were the only strategy I used to beat all the SC1 missions lol.
Hope it works in SC2 missions as well.

There's no Spawn Larvae in the Zerg campaign, which makes them extremely easy to play even before you factor in Kerrigan. You can basically mass hydras and attack + move to beat every map, plus adding macro hatcheries and zergings to use excess minerals if you're playing on a harder difficulty.

@ Maestro -- There are also "Mastery Achievements" that aren't listed upon mission completion for some reason that require Hard/Brutal.

is there any way I can find these so I know what to go back and do?

I just got a "secret" achievement which is apparently an alternate ending to the Broodmother mission I mentioned earlier...
I refrained from getting all 100 Eggs, and I just spammed Zagara's fortress Hive Cluster until it collapsed

then we cornered her and I thought it was alternate but now that I think about it maybe that's just what your'e supposed to do after you get the 100 Eggs...?

who knows

Can you tell me which multiplayer units got added in HotS?
Also is there a lurker in campaign?

you can choose Lurker in campaign, yes

a lot of the Zerg campaign is based around "strains" and you can evolve different strains of unit throughout the campaign through "Evolution Missions" which're just fun little missions that you can get and which then allow you to choose between (for example) Zerglings that're extra fast and run up cliffs (Raptorlings) or Zerglings that spawn in 3 seconds and in groups of 3 (Swarmlings)

there's an Evolution Mission for each main Zerg military unit used in campaign - the Evolution Mission for the Hydralisk allows you to choose between the Hydra strain that can go Lurker, or one that can morph into what's called an "Impaler" (it's like the Lurker but its attack is single-target and deals more damage towards armored units, so meh, I chose Lurker)

units added in HotS multiplayer:

Viper (Z) - flying caster, sucks in bigger units to make them vulnerable, spreads clouds of debilitating gas, etc.
Swarm Host (Z) - siege walker, half-burrows (still attackable without detection) then spawns waves of Locusts to attack (which're actually pretty okay for spawned units)

Hellbat (T) - alternate form of Hellion...so slow, close-range multi-target attacker vs. fast scout with mid-range attack (interesting premise, never used by me so IDK)
Widow Mines (T) - burrowing defensive drones that launch VERY effective missile strikes against ground and air UNITS (not buildings - but these're my new favorite Terran units)

Oracle (P) - early flying caster, fast, can use energy to actually attack for short periods of time (very nice alternative to early Voids, IMO, and DAMN good for harassing)
Tempest (P) - almost the exact opposite, slower, high-tier, EXTREMELY LONG RANGE siege unit, EXCELLENT at picking off expensive units from far away (new favorite for Toss)

and the Protoss also have the newly nerfed Mothership, which requires "morphing" from Mothership Core, which can be built without a Fleet Beacon at the Nexus for 100/100 and has a pretty bad attack but can be useful early on - VERY fun ability I only just started making use of: while still in "Core" mode, it can supercharge the Nexus's crystal to make it a powerful long-range weapon for a short time. awesome for early harasses you need to get rid of

Warhounds are in campaign (though obviously you're destroying them), and they were around (shortly) for an awesome April Fool's prank from Blizzard :D

detection is needed to attack them.
