really on the fence about getting this. I figure I'll prolly play through the single player, suck at multiplayer for like a month, then quit.

yeah finished the campaign earlier today and it was pretty meh. The later missions were pretty fun but it felt a lot easier than the WoL campaign, the primal zerg could have been done better and probably still kept to the lore of the original starcraft stuff (say they break off from the swarm after the overmind dies and evolve as individuals on Zerus, only real thing you'd have to change is getting a replacement for the ancient one) and kerrigan went from dumb lovebird to BETTER GO BE QUEEN OF THE ZERG AGAIN with pretty much no thinking it through or internal conflict.

Don't really recommend it unless you're going to play at least a little multiplayer (which will probably be worth it but I haven't bothered yet) until the price drops a bit.

I remember in like 1998 when I was so excited about how the story was going to play out after Brood War

Hey, you know how SC2 has that mafia custom game which is really nicely set up but full of trolls and people that are really bad at mafia? We should totally get a group and set up a private game or two using it. It would be like a marathon game but all moderated for us. Anyone interested? Personally, I think it would be a pretty awesome idea.

Don't forget the terrible setups and the people that leave immediately if they get VT

Oh, I know that people abuse it. But the game engine is extremely well designed, you can make practically any setup you want. I was thinking of getting a MS only group together to play a game. Maybe this weekend if we can get 11-15 players online.

You have to get HotS so that you can develop a crush and/or mancrush on Stukov.

by far the best part of the campaign was him coming back

yeah it's a 1 of 3 choice for swarm hosts to make them totally burrowattack in single player, they're always like that in multi

I did a little laddering the other night (didn't see any of you guys on) I think every game I lost was to protoss

lost to
1) 2 gate proxy because I suck at scouting
2) got cannoned because I suck at scouting
3) mass void rays (really upset about this one as I just fell short of critical mass on hydras) because I suck at scouting
4) another game where I saw colossi and panicked and overproduced the shit out of corrupters...I just kinda fucked up here.

Gotta work on working vipers into my comps.
