The Armed Republic of Swindlefest is a fledgling, economically powerful nation, renowned for its complete lack of public education. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 6%. A substantial private sector is dominated by the Arms Manufacturing industry.
Crime is a serious problem. Swindlefest's national animal is the Stealing crow, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation, and its currency
