hmm actually Graduation for me is June 3rd. And there are a few days before that that I think University requires us to spend in preparation for commencement.

So if it's gonna be May ~28-29- June 2 then I think I'd have to decline. Not absolutely positive about what happens on the days before June 3rd but.... yeah.

Also I got a stocking stuffer during christmas that contained a set of playing cards tailored to the game of Oh Hell! I'll be bringing those with me if anyone is into that sort of thing.

Oh Hell! is much more fun than it deserves to be given its name.

Not sure why you need tailored cards for it, though.

me neither, but apparently my mom found it had it's own set, so...; I played it with some kids from Yale 4 years ago. We had a lot of fun making up a lot of auxillary rules to alter the point system.

I think we made it so you only get points for making your bid.

We made additional changes so it wouldn't be quite like that.

The basic ones were making a bid grants 10 points as a base. Fucking up a bid = -10 points x how many bids you were off by.

We also gave a bonus to making higher bids. a bid of 0 = 10 points. a bid of 1 = 10 + 1^2 = 11. A bid of 2 = 10 + 1^2 + 2^2 = 15.

So it'd go

Further, you had the option of doubling, and then double-blinding (in which you declare without looking at your cards). All in all, scores will all be positive (most likely) by the end of the game
