Why're titles becoming a thing for people to suggest for anybody with specific quirks or semi-meaningful achievements in specific places on the site? I thought they were for truly memorable personality facets and/or unique achievements. Just seems to me like lots of people use gifs (possibly excessively) or win at Survivor - just to use the most recently proposed titles - and I thought titles were supposed to be something more uniquely suited to an individual.
Like, prime examples: Buttons and Faraday both have titles I can't even begin to understand (and might not want to?) but I can't fathom that there's any way they came into being through some means that wasn't entirely unique to Buttons and Faraday. I definitely haven't felt the same Re: some of the more recent titles/suggestions...

when oman was in charge barely any titles were given out toward the end, so maybe that's why you think there's some amazing standard, maestro. Titles shouldn't be hoarded like they're somehow devalued by people getting them. my title is no less good or bad because more people are getting titles.
IDK Maestro, most of the titles on the first post seem fair? (The only one I actually don't like is the Varsoon title bc i've no fucking clue what it means w/r/t varsoon (I mean I assume it doesn't mean he likes shit, but other than that!)
Snakes title seems fine. Skrew one could be stronger, but isn't bad and it's not like titles need to be a blood oath.
My title's pretty simple to get, if you've ever played with me I'd say.
Are gifs considered pictures? Picture Perfect? Eh. Probably makes it sound more like he posts images.

I'm not trying to say they're devalued by more people getting them, but shouldn't there be more value to a title than "he's won a few Survivors semi-consistently" or "he uses .gifs a lot" or "his avatar looks like a shark and there're puns to be had here"? (depending on how you want to argue any of those - I'm just using them as examples)

On top of that, Big Brothers are extremely rare. I ran one last year (late June -> Mid October), and the last one that finished before that was in like 2009-ish. Also, given that Snakes has won 3 games so close together AND he's much newer, I think it's a point to consider.

I think you are doing the thing the whole thread was doing a few months back (near the end of Oman's tenure in particular) where you are making way too big of a deal about people getting titles. It's intended to be minor whimsy, for the most part.
I get that, I'm probably just not expressing the point I'm trying to get across very well. Not really invested in it either way, y'all have fun with your whimsy. :3

Meh, Maestro has a point. Its not likeSyryana is the only guy to use shitloads of .gifs when we have Bert, notscience, etc. who also liberally use them
