The synergy between the oozes, the geists and the hydra is too good to ignore. I was playing Silverheart in a Yeva deck though, he's really funny at instant speed,

Also why would you play mogg flunkies over gore-house chainwalker?

Because given that you have creatures its just better in every way, and at the point where the deck doesn't have any creatures chainwalker isnt going to win the game anyway?

The extra toughness is so huge.

He's much better with mutavault, granted, but I still think he's fine with BTE, LM, etc. enablers.

The thing with Hydra is he's an entire turn slower than Wolfir for affecting the board, and that's incredibly important. Raphael Levy is a good magic player, and he choose Silverheart over Hydra for a reason.

Silver heart comes down, lets something paired swing in, and gives an 8/8 on defense. Hydra comes down, begs to be removed, begs to be bloodrushed over, etc.

Though I'm not saying Hydra isn't good. I'm hoping his price drops because I'm DEFINITELY forcing a Hellraiser Goblin->Rubblebelt Raiders-> Kalonian Hydra deck post rotation >_____>b

And you bet your ass armed and dangerous will be in there XD

Big limitation is it can only be from one store, cause if I have to go to another store to get a single $0.40 card, that's $10.40
Do they do super saver shipping to aussie land?

Idk, I feel like it sets you up for strategic removal tacking on a fog. It's less scary with mad skills. And it sets up another way for variance to screw you.

YMMV and meta and all that, but I don't think the extra toughness and ability to block are worth it in this format.

p-edit
I just don't see the toughness mattering that much.

Silverheart is certainly good, you're just trading inevitability for some fast damage. It's also not as showy as doubling predator ooze counters, and I will admit to that being a factor in the building process for that particular deck.

the toughness dose matter, trust me.

One difference being having your board wiped for Bonfire x=2 and having a sad follow up hellrider vs. mogg flunkies surviving and following up with a hellrider for 8 damage or jsut a mutavault+flunkies for 5.

Not dying to the first side of strangleroot geist, pillar of flame, etc.

1-1 removal just doesn't scare you that much when you're playing a threat each turn from 1 mana and sometimes 2 a turn with BTE. It puts people in situations where its very hard to catch-up without a board wipe, aka like Shea said.

Both Travis Woo and his brother Elliot top 8 GP oakland, even after they hit round 13. That's sweet.

From Rosewater's article today. Some fun stuff to check out when you're bored:
Here are some things you can expect from Theros:

A 3/3 with three abilities that uses fate counters
Multiple cards with the word "nongorgon"
A high-profile cycle of legendary permanents that are not creatures or lands
A rare card with five words of rules text in which one of the words is "planeswalker"
An artifact creature that appears to be a big horse made out of wood
A 5/5 giant snake that can be cast for Green ManaGreen Mana
A multicolor Minotaur lord
A card that could have been in Modern Masters
A giant that brings fire to humans
A creature with a saboteur ability (it has an effect if the creature deals combat damage to an opponent) which is one of the Power Nine

Here are a few names of cards you will see:

Anger of the Gods
Chained to the Rocks
Lost in a Labyrinth
Rescue from the Underworld
Underworld Cereberus
Witch's Eye

Finally, here are some of the creatures you're going to see (note that not all of these are creature types and is only a partial list):

Catoblepas
Chimera
Cyclops
Harpy
Hippocamp
Hundred-Handed One
Kraken
Nymph (Alseid, Dryad, Lampad, Naiad, and Oread)
Pegasus
Satyr
Siren
Triton

You should probably see what the singles selection at your local shop looks like before purchasing cards off the Internet. Or, ask players at that store what they use to buy cards, since it'll surely be more efficient and cost effective then any way we can guess at from here.

I have faith in Wizard's ability to exploit anything well enough to generate profit.
One time, back in 'nam, Sudo was set upon by an entire squadron of charlies. He challenged them all to a game of Pictionary, which he won resoundingly. The charlies were forced to not only surrender the skirmish, but also their world-famous chili recipe, which Sudo sold to Texas for a hefty profit. Sudo is a master of diplomacy.

Is anyone interested in going to GP DC? Format is legacy and I'm looking to get a motel room with some guys or stay with someone in the area if that magical opportunity exists.

It's legacy, so...no.

If I had a legacy deck to play I might go because Brock's sister lives up there but eh.
