I presume you own the board game? How is it?

It's a card game more than a board game and I wouldn't be running a game I didn't like. And like is probably a considerable understatement, it regularly sees play around my place probably more than any other game.

Not at all, I mentioned it in the Board Game thread and no one responded (though I know Glork knows of the game and Vi has played with me) so I expect most everyone is going to be new.

A New Beginning

A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away...

There was a planet. This planet was known as Planet MafiaScum. One scummer, known as izakthegoomba, created a powerful set of nations on the planet, and soon gave them away to other scummers. War was soon beginning. Whilst the nations began to battle it out, izak was secretly researching transcendence. Before long, without revealing to anyone what had happened, he ascended to a higher plane of existence and became the god of the galaxy. Under his (mostly) non-interventionist rule, the nations of Planet MafiaScum continued to fight for supremacy.

However, as the wars raged on, one nation began to prove itself as superior. Guided by inspiratieloos, Arnor began to take control of the world. It eventually merged with the defeated remnants of its neighbours to become the Suvonian Union. At that point it was already too late for the world to do anything about it, but inspiratieloos finally made it official by executing Order 66[1]. At the snap of his fingers, every other nation on the planet was either subdued or destroyed, and all of his opponents defeated. Only his trusted ally Plague surviving unscathed, while only those that earned his respect surviving as puppet rulers...

But you guys don't care about that, because you have a brand new planet to explore/conquer/explode/whatever else you come up with.
