I've been here a little, but I thought it would be nice to say hi to everyone... so hi!

I'm a high school student in Pennsylvania, and I love playing mafia. I played Werewolf at a party which was loads of fun. Then I came here and realized people were actually smart and couldn't be manipulated so easily. I have a lot of hobbies, but you can just click on my name to see my interests (mostly running, tennis, reading, and music). I believe that's it. Btw, the people here are amazingly cool and smart.

Hi there everyone.

I have played a lot of mafia, but I am new here...hope I don't mess up!

I wonder how much it takes to be assigned to a game...

Just pick a game Queue (in the Queue forum, cleverly enough), and say something like "/in" or informally "in for next game", or "in for Smurfs Mafia" if it's a queue that has multiple signups going.

It's recommended to play a Newbie Game first, but not required. It will help you acclimate to how we do things here, especially if you're used to a faster/more casual site.

Yeah, I've done that, I just wondered how much will it take to be assigned after you ask for it.

Thanks anyway =)

How much time? About a week or two, generally.

Oh, didn't know that this thread existed.

I'm quite new to mafiascum, I've never played forum mafia but I've read a lot of games while waiting for the newbie queue.

I have a little experience in IRL mafia, and some experience in irc mafia. I've also played in EpicMafia, but many games there can be kinda lame.

I'm looking forward to have some fun and good scumhunting (or townkilling) here!

Oh whoops hiya didn't know this existed

I'm a reasonable person besides my play style. New to this site, so I'm definitely taking this all in.

Dream of making a living off of musicianship, yada yada. I run the jazz combo at my school and such, exciting stuff.
I like to draw as well, I'm somehwhat smart but in odd ways. Good with people, good at knowing them quickly, and very good with knowing a lot more about people than others often do. So yeah I guess understanding people face to face is my strongpoint.

Ironically enough I really don't like liers. Yet I love this game. I'm a co fusing person but I don't tend to worry about that.

I like you already JKLM, and welcome!

umInsofar as myself, I've been around since June and found this site while looking up the rules for another game off-site. I've played a few games and enjoy the challenge, but have found myself at times getting overinvolved and distancing from the real-people aspect of the game. I like to see Mafia as something people won't take personally - as its own thing.

I think Mafiascum has a top tier of intelligent folk attending, and that's something which I've really enjoyed about interacting with others here.

Also I have a very dry sense of humour and have found I love to reaction-test - that's like 90% of my game right now :) although I reassess constantly too.

Hi everyone, new here.

I am currently attending my last year in junior high (or middle school, or whatever it's called in English). My main hobby is debating, but I also play the bass guitar. I'm usually described as calm, cheerful and somewhat funny. And smart, because I happen to have a rather good memory. With some things, at least. Half my class (the boys) plays LoL, so I had to learn the basic LoL glossary just to understand what they're saying ._.

Anyway, nice to meet you all, I hope to be a part of many mafia games in the future!

What is a home slice?

Does it refer to the natural detachment to comes with being a slice? Sliced away from all you're supposed to care about it.
But then there's the home part. Hmmmm. That's tricky. Home refers to anything good, anything cozy! Home is togetherness. Is the exact opposite of a slice.

WHZT IS SO DAMN GOOD ABOUT BEING A SLICE AWAY FROM HOME? Even though it's with his homeys by his side????

In the end we are all slices.

Ultimately alone.

Hello Scummers,

I just signed up for the site recently, but I have used your wiki many many times for games I run and play on on another forum, but I thought I'd take a look into dabbling in playing games here. It might take a while though, I'm used to games with 20 players and strict 48hr day periods and 24hr nights, so the setup for games here is radically different for me.
