I think the problem with stuff like this is you're trying to create competitive communities that can root for "their" teams and feel like they're being represented. So ideally while you want to allow some fluidity between teams, you want some barriers to entry too. Otherwise you get massive forum shopping which negates the purpose of having separate leagues and decreases the feeling of ownership by fans.

Pretty much exactly this. Otherwise why have a world championship at all? It's part of the fun, the drama, the spectacle. It's the entertainment.
In other news, the proliferation of barcode names prior to worlds is hilarious. It looks like Riot gave them Diamond MMR accounts with everything unlocked, so they can practice in Solo queue. Watching Phantomlord get utterly dunked by barcode Ezreal was hysterical (my bet is BarcodeKiller is probably xPeke, it feels like him)
Man U would suck in the MLS. Whoever made that comparison should feel ashamed of themself.
Also, does anyone else remember the stink when Jatt represented both the US and Canada in the World Championships?
That I can understand the stink because the teams were actually nationally-aligned. At this point they aren't, so w/e come on over Koreans, stimulate this economy!

NA is multicultural and if you exclude any race or nationality, particularly "The Koreans" from the collective that is the north american race then you should feel ashamed of yourself

I'm excluding KOREA, not KOREANS. NA = people from(born and raised) Canada, US, Mexico, All the Central American nations, all the Caribbean nations. I don't care if you're culturally/ancesterally Korean, I care if you were born/raised in Korea.
But as Quadz point out and as I kinda mentioned, it's more like club then country.

I'm gonna say that North America is a continent. It's in the North West Hemisphere, and consists of a whole bunch of countries including Canada and the United States.
Korea is excluded from North America by the highly discriminatory Pacific Ocean. I suggest you go lobby congress to pass a law against that.

Well, that's the point isn't it? Just people are sensitive about jews and not about Koreans.
Who cares where they originate or were born, if they are allowed to work in a country they can play in the countries sports leagues. Anything beyond that is nationalism at its worst. "You aren't a white anglosaxon protestant so you can't work here".
I'm quite appalled that these thoughts are actually normal in a country build by immigrants. It's their fucking history.
Surrender, imagine and of course wear something nice.
what actually is the dividing line between what is and isn't allowed as a NA team? Do you have to live in a NA country?
Why do people have to meet the requirement for being president to play in Panz's league? Immigrants can be senators, governors, etc. why not play in an online game?

We need to pin down some terms; can immigrants become senators, governers etc. without citizenship or green card. If I had a work visa only, could I become a senator? Residency is important, if they're representing a region they should be part of that region, rather than temporary.

yeah, but my point was that panz said "born and raised" so I didn't need to address residency. You can be a resident of the US for the past 50 years and still not have been raised here, much less born.
oh, totally. Fuck born and raised, that's insane nepotism.
But there certainly is a fear ingrained in our generation that our precious comfy white jobs are being taken. The Mexicans, the Indians, the Chinese are all taking our jobs, now the Koreans want to represent us? Clearly the proper response is tighter restrictions rather than getting better.

He wasn't even level 6.
Regis been the worst TSM player by far for a long time, but he owns TSM so lol.
