tell me about it....
i get so frustrated as winning rating is going down so bad..now i am below 45% or so..
the more i am leveling up, the harder the game is becoming and somehow i always end up with the dumb stupid team members at most times..who will end up feeding to enemy team ganks..

i have more looses as raidiant..i feel dires win most the games.. they get good hold of map over radiants... i feel its bit unfair..

The unfortunate thing is at the level of play you guys are at, you HAVE to play a carry because your team is unreliable. Not trying to be like "Oh I'm in Very High so I'm awesome," whenever I play with people in lower ranks(AKA, a lot), I can't count on my team mates to carry.

Back in the days of Heroes of Newerth, which was basically Dota 1.5 at the time, I had a >50% win rate. The only way I got it up was by finding a group of players who consistently played at the same time as me that I could play with. I played support for my whole HoN career, and only started playing carries due to lack of others being able to in games I've been playing.

Joining a team for matches or just pub play is really important. You can't go at this game alone, you'll have a bad time. I know we've got our little MS community here, but I don't think we're all always on at the same time.

If we really wanted to try to congregate the MS community a bit more, we could all start trying to frequent the mumble. As silly as it sounds, not talking to players disconnects you from them. Once I talk to someone on mumble, I want to play with them more simply because I have a better sense of who they are.

tldr; find a team/group of players to frequently play with.

I play mostly solo queue, and I can tell you that supporting in this new patch is VERY unreliable...

I don't know what it is about the new patch, but all those bfury kunkkas, afk lose-to-jungle-lane axes and vanguard supports seem to be all the rage now.

At lower MMRs, I play mid almost exclusively because that is the easiest lane to snowball out of and control the game tempo from. Granted if your other 2 lanes still lose generally there's not much you can do about it.

BH is also viable again now and is another hero to easily control game with. Used to play BH excessively until meta changed such that everyone went trilane + sentries, but he is honestly a very easy hero to win with if you have good map movement.

BH was the first hero I could win consistently as.

Cause of course in Limited nobody ever bought wards, basically if you managed your cooldowns you were not just un killable, but un hitable.

I have a vast list of people that can play reasonably well, so that helps with the group thing, though I only have two people who want to start a team with me sadly.

also molla, what is this mumble you speak of? aren't you an I friends without speaking incoherently?

I have actually been playing support in most of my games, I don't mind it by any means but I haven't had a lot of chances to carry. The problem (or I should say, 'another' problem) is either your teammates usually spam rush carries as soon as the game starts, or ignore the fact that they might need to play support. I do have some experience with carries, Viper of course was my only hero when I first started that I could play. Last bit I've been branching out a bit more, playing more heroes like Luna, Bounty Hunter, Riki, Queen of Pain, but my selection pool just doesn't cover all the situations yet.

The reason I got into Dota was because my friend nagged me continually to download the game on steam, and %90 of the time I will be playing with him in pub games. It is nice to have a friend to play with and I enjoy the games a lot more. The communication is still a problem with your teammates though since it's always so uncoordinated. I totally agree with what everyone is saying though, it's usually the carries that are the trouble makers on the team. Sad thing is the bad ones are usually the ones who can't even take the slightest bit of advice.

Sure is fun when you get a good carry on your team though, it's that fact that makes the other games so frustrating.

Just played a 60 minute game (loss) that was really close. I think 56-54 for them in the end. I tried out Abaddon for the first time, really enjoyed playing him.

My case and point about earlier; We had a mid Spirit Breaker who died 20 times. If he hadn't of been a feeder for no reason we would have easily won. Those angry facepalm moment when he charges t3 towers for a kill and dies first. Or when he charges a full hp pudge whenn having about 100 hp himself... I had fun anyway, found a new hero I can play. :)

6.79 is a retarded and very sad patch for carries.

However, it's much more fun for supports and off so.

midas isnt really a matter of the new patch though, people always liked getting midas.

They did buff necrobook a bit much though.

does random draft always have such a better community they AP? cause i just had a game with molla. I've never seen a team of complete strangers come together that fast.

Makes me want to increase my hero pool so I'm not so nervous about playing RD

Midas AA was always good, but now it's acceptable lol.

Well, only good if you can land your ults.
Midas is REALLY strong on CM... I've always loved midas on her but never imagined pros would be getting it too...

(It's kinda useless on other supports, where other items would be much better)

Also the counter to mass midas is simply to push as 5.

To expand on why midas is good on these supports, it's because it allows you to get a much earlier sheep than normally possible (in addition to normal core/situational items).
