No reliable stun. No pushing/counter pushing ability. Pretty much it. Unpopular trendwise atm.
And you ALWAYS should max W. It's garbage without it's range. "Q deals a ton of damage!" Okay, good luck having the mana to spam that on a support disruptor. As a mid disruptor, you might be able to argue that.
Edit: Also COMPLETELY countered by BKB. I think he just got an aghs upgrade to disable items within the field though right? If so he's probably viable now.

It completely depends on the lane. Sidelane support should max Glimpse, but midlane Disruptor should max out the beefcake massive damage nuke--gives such sick lane control, what with disabling bottle and everything.
And yeah, Aghs is core on him now.

Not really... I was playing him the otherday, i didn't had to buy Agh and its not core item..its situational..
My stats were 3/12/45 , that's right i got 45 kill assiists, check it here : http://dotabuff.com/matches/365437224
His core item is bloodstone for mainly mana reasons... Checkout his item build choices...

If you're a support Disruptor in a captains game you should go Aghs. You won't reach Bloodstone till 30 and it'll be pointless by then. Plus yuou'll probably have a carry who is getting it.

Bloodstone is probably one of the last items you should be getting on disruptor... disruptor doesn't benefit from it at all. Force/drums/mek and now aghs all WAY better on him... and by the time you have those, you'll be going for a sheep.
My sideline build for disruptor varies, either 1/3/1 (pretty sure glimpse is w), or 2/2/1. The second point in thunderstrike is sometimes really nice for controlling the lane, and you won't be needing the 3rd point in glimpse asap anyways IF you position yourself properly.
the first thing i rush for Distruptor is Arcane boots for mana reasons and next one is Mekh but i still do have mana problems.. I always run out of mana in team battles becuz the amount of mana he requires for his perfect combo.. I run for void stun beucz it increase my mana generation.... then it goes without saying that i just have to compolete the preserverence becuz it gives me additional damange and 5 HP regeneration...
as distruptor i never look for getting kills or doing lot of damage..i look forward to support my team.. lock enemy team in kneitic filed and silence them with my ulti or using that field to save my carry etc..... so to use constant spells i feel blood stone is my unlimited mana resource so i dont have to look back for mana, probably ever...

Also you'll probably feel this way about 80% of the heroes

i have different theories...i hate some heroes...
Riki is my most hated hero...i feel irritated when someone plays riki.. i feel it wont require lot of skill to get kills with riki.. not sure if i am wrong but i feel unfair to fight with a hero who can't be seen..

wait, are you saying bloodstone is bad item for all heroes..
what about death prophet and Timber?? they are best buys for them...
bloodstone is very situational on dp, you are almost always better off building mid intelligence hero support items. timber is the only hero in the game that the item is a no brainer for (honorable mention 4 techies, pls put techies in valve.) even for storm, for whom it is pretty godly its a situational thing
basically if you have the money to buy bloodstone on most heroes you would have been better off with something else instead

also aa you shouldnt be building a perse "just because you already have a void stone." perseverance is a very bad item by itself and youd usually be better off making a euls instead with the void stone

stick with your team if you cant 1v1 him and dont know where he is, carry dust if youre not trying to accomplish any specific goal and want to gank/countergank him, but most importantly drop sentry wards when you are trying to push something. i guarantee that at your level the number of rikis who will happily wander into the middle of your team while youre near their t2 despite you clearly showing sentries in your inventory will surprise the shrek out of you!

pls do not use these winrates as a decision factor in what items you buy, its a very good way to get the wrong impression. the important thing to realize is that a disruptor who has the money to buy a bloodstone most likely has the money to do that because his team is already winning and it doesnt matter what he buys at that point.

before. aghs is a really late game goal on techies. the casting range boost is convenient but not game changing and the damage difference can be solved by More Bombs.

The items are recorded by what are in the players inventory at the end of the game. Hence why wards has 30% win and courier has 20%.
