Not thrilled with Guyett either. Not as bad as Hermy, since Alien Prober sounds like a less-fun job.

That's one of my questions:

• Are the turned down roles any indication of actual alignment?

Has anyone played this type of game before? And, if so, links?

Only 1 faction kill but the lightning-rod thing is effectively a second night kill plus a global roleblock provided there are no doctors and there is another scum faction. Would you have chosen this role over your own if you had the opportunity?

The role confuses me

• Do you effectively block/redirect every night action every night until you're killed?
• Do you get to target the night actions or do they automatically target you?

WTFudge? I got two sucky roles. I discarded the scum one, as I prefer playing as town.

By that logic, does everyone that's discarded a town role now have a scum one?

Alien Prober - The role is semi useful, the roleblocking bit is good but the cop aspect is useless imo.
Vanilla Townie - useless in this game
Tourist - compulsively targets a player each night with no effect. basically the miller version for trackers
FBI Agent - Basically a cop but this is useless in a game with so many anti town factions.
Evangelistic Townie - the cult version of miller.... horrible role

Alien Psychomagnet - this role can be quite effective for an alien faction but aliens suck balls. Only one faction kill in the game is terrible

Town Miller - terrible role
Vanilla Townie - useless
Vanilla Cop - in a game where most people will have power roles this is a fecking useless role

It is not hard to see why most of these were discarded as most are useless.

How does that affect us? Are you saying that differentiating between different scum factions would be helpful to us? On top of that, wouldn't having multiple scum factions in a game this size be excessive? I don't understand it.

It shouldn't be a townslip. I'm now getting that werewolf and alien make up the other "mafia" factions. I was under the impression that there'd be a Mafia A and Mafia B in addition to the aforementioned roles.

What I will say is that I don't trust any of you. I don't trust the back and forth between XScorpion/Desperado and I don't agree with your line of attack. Aptil hasn't said much but he gets to slide under the radar and I don't see why agi02 was so bent on Hermy's lynch. From what I understand, all but one of you is scum.

Never said I trust aptil; I don't like that he's been entirely absent, but that's not as actively bad as you spending a lot of time grousing about things and not scum-hunting. Last time I played with someone who acted all distraught about the way this set-up works, I'll admit I felt a bit sorry for her. Turned out she was scum playing us.

Sorry for grousing but I don't understand; I'll refrain from asking questions in the future. Didn't know I was acting distraught; sorry for that, too. As long as you're not trying to base a case solely off my confusion.

been apathetic. I've also been reserved. Desperado's assertiveness means nothing to me. It could make him a great player but it doesn't make him town. He changed his mind on agi/you because of XScorpion - I don't trust that. You say XScorpion wouldn't want to draw attention to himself but I don't believe that either. If he swung a lynch to someone else, let's say penguin, and she flipped town, he could've taken agi down with him with potential buddying. The viable course of action for me is to take out the scum fulcrum.
