I'm sorry (not really) to interrupt TWD spoilers (Umbrage, would it kill you to use spoiler= tags on things more than 3 lines long?), but Dungeonland is so much fun...

So Ep1 of S2 of Walking Dead came out today.

My choices:

Spoiler:
1) Helped Christa
2) Killed the dog
3) Friendly to the girl
4) Went to the younger guy. Figured the old man was bitten already.

Everyone who decided to choose Nick over Pete has learned nothing about TWD.

Did you forget how Clementine did just about the same thing with Pete and Co.?

Oh my god, this fucking dog.
One time, back in 'nam, Sudo was set upon by an entire squadron of charlies. He challenged them all to a game of Pictionary, which he won resoundingly. The charlies were forced to not only surrender the skirmish, but also their world-famous chili recipe, which Sudo sold to Texas for a hefty profit. Sudo is a master of diplomacy.

Spoiler:
What was even the point of bringing back Christa and Omid, given that they kill Omid and ditch Christa in the first five minutes? They could have simply decided that Clem never found them, left their fates ambiguous, and the story would be exactly the same.

Krista is heavily rumored to be the person in Episode 2 (along with KENNY and some people are being absolutely dumb and saying that its Lee/Omid my bet is on Vernon or someone who just don't know that Clementine met within the 18 month jump)

is made to test you. You can see that Pete got hurt by the zombie but the game never shows you that he got bit. Some people are saying that there's a good assumption that it is a bite due to the fact that the preview for the next episode, if you pick Pete, goes with his "cut off leg and you ok" theory (which we already know is false due to the fact that this is what Lee did and he did not turn out ok) but the key point is that Pete is part of the house and due to the previous rumors, assuming that the next episode (which is named a House divided) is either titled that due to Pete's wound/Nick's actions or due to the Foogler (or whatever its name was) that killed the people near the fishtraps

Spoiler:
It can't possibly be Lee, since his death is guaranteed. Kenny's death is heavily implied but not shown, and more to the point, his heroic death is the climax of his character arc. Kenny's return would be unlikely and disappointing. Vernon and the group seem unlikely, since the only ones of the group with any significant screentime were Vernon and Bree; Bree's dead, and Vernon escaped in the boat, so Clem's "I thought you were dead" comment would make no sense. Molly would be possible, and I'd like to see more of her character, but again, she left in a safe situation, so there's no reason for Clem to say "I thought you were dead" to her. Of the rest of the old group, Duck, Katja, Larry, Chuck, Ben, Carla, and Doug are all unambiguously dead. That leaves Omid, Christa, and Lily as the only characters from Clem's past she has reason to believe are dead. It would be odd to see Omid return, since his death opens the chapter, and there's a 16 month time skip between the intro and the start of actual gameplay, so it would be weird for Omid to suffer an almost certainly fatal gunshot, then show up 16 months later.

So my money would be on Christa or Lily. Christa would make sense, since she seems to be involved in the story, and her fate was ambiguous, since all we see is her run off- Clem could legitimately believe that she died, but that she actually found this new group. Lily would also make sense, she escapes alive no matter what you do, but in a situation where death seems certain.

Anyone here play Assassin's Creed Black Flag on the PS4? I got a PS4 and the PS3 version of the game, but not sure if it's worth the $10 upgrade.

The gameplay is the same, the PS4 version has upgraded graphics, bushes move as you sneak through, water looks better, rocks you dont see in water you crash into on ps3 can be seen in ps4 version, foilage moves more realistically, etc

Wish I could join in on Walking Dead spoiler talk but a Telltale server error means I can't play the fucking thing. Planned my whole day around fitting it in; now I'm probably going to have to wait until after Christmas. Rrrr and double rrrr.

I'm not going to pretend I know the show but didn't we see Lee do this and it failed? I thought this was Telltale's way of saying that they're not into that voodoo magic.

Lee didn't cut it off immediately, though.

Also, my choices for Season 2 are as follows:

Spoiler:
Everybody saves Christa, kills the dog, and forgives Nate. I gave the dying man water and went with Pete.

Yay, the walking dead 2!

Spoiler: My impressions
I'm a bit miffed controlling Clementine. For me a large part of the charm of season 1 was that you didn't know exactly what was on her head. I can see where they wanted to go. However, I think it would be nice to control a character with a clean slate - the three "obvious" decisions (that 95% over of the people picked) seems to me heavily defined over the image everyone has of Clementine. I do like that Clementine is turning into some sort of Badass, though.

That first scene was totally bullshit! Omid clearly tells you that you have to take care of all your stuff -- the water going under the toilet was obviously an opening for separating Clem from her gun. It would have felt more satisfying if we could have decided to keep the gun, and then the girl who comes after just overpower us to keep the storyline stable.

That said, I liked the rest of the story a lot. The dog and sneaking into the house moments were pretty tense. I knew that I could probably hear all the backstory going in the kitchen, but I just FELT that I had to get out of there as soon as possible.

Not being able to close the hole in the shed before the operation felt a little bulshitty.

I picked Pete. The snap decision was that, even though he is bitten, Nick was just not reliable - no way clementine would go with him. Also the whole "Lee thing happening over again!" seems like good drama. However, since he dies if you pick Nick, I'm pretty sure he will die early/somewhere in Episode 2.

Also, as for cutting it off, Yeah, it is stablished in the comics that it is possible (though not guaranteed) to save a bite victim by amputation. In the prison arc we had both things happen: A botched amputation that resulted in death and turning, and a proper amputation that saved the victim. Remember, everyone is infected, the bite just kills.
