This forum is specifically for discussing non-Mafia games

Playing
such games should happen in the Mish Mash forum, of course.

you should get Dishonored if you haven't already

I share your love. Dishonored was the first truly great game i've played in years.

Star citizen.... I just found it and i cannot tell you how excited i am. This is going to sound horrible when I say it but......YOU CAN COMMIT FREAKING INSURANCE FRAUD WITH YOUR SHIP!!!!!!!!!!!! That. Is. Awesome.

That's the beautiful thing, if you head straight towards the end you can finish it in one night, but you can spend a month on a perfect run. And then there's the DLC.

The first level is shit compared to the rest of the game because you don't have your powers or cool gear yet. Wait until you gain the power to stop time, possess an enemy to walk in front of his own bullet, then teleport away and summon a swarm of rats to eat the trail of corpses you've left in your wake. THEN you'll get what Dishonored is like.

And the voice cast includes Susan Sarandon, Wormtongue from LotR, and Mr. Blonde. And the music is done by the guy who did Dexter's soundtrack. IT'S FUCKING AWESOME IS WHAT I'M GETTING AT HERE.

I regret buying Dark Souls. First off, the PC port is unplayable unless you install mods and do a ton of other tweaks. Even then, the game is extremely mediocre. The difficulty is literally the only thing going for it, and it's not even 'fun' difficult, it's 'trial and error' difficult.
I'll explain it to you. You have to get someone else to understand it for you.

Yes. The only way it isn't the answer is if you're a wuss who gets annoyed when things get difficult and you break 5 controllers just beating the first boss. But it's really not
that
hard.

I've never played the PC port though, I'm talking about the PS3 version.
Who said that?
Chamber. It's all a conspiracy.
Or is it?

I loved the concept of Dark Souls; the one problem was that I'm not a serious gamer so when I did finally get past the first boss and moved on to new enemies, I was disheartened by having to figure out something new. Probably a flaw on my part though, the game is pretty neat. I was sad that I couldn't get it on this sale until I saw what Umbrage said about the patches and such.

Heads up: don't buy Natural Selection II. I've spent an hour and a half tonight trying to play ONE game of it (the training levels). I don't know how they built the game, but to load one map it takes about 5-10 minutes. Then you spend 5-15 minutes playing, then another loading screen. Jesus Christ.

I don't like how they advertise them on the front page. They should at least be buried somewhere so you have to actively look for them.

I went and broke The Stanley Parable Demo... got myself stuck in a door as it closed. The "Begin the demo again" button didn't work from the pause menu either, so that was lovely.

Is The Stanley Parable a game a basic computer could handle? I'm very interested by the premise.

I'm pretty sure it is. Very simple graphics. Give it a try.

Hiraki: Act 2 will be added for free to people who bought the game before the end of the year - so the total length should be about 7-8 hours. You're still right, but just FYI

That's completely unacceptable for the amount of money they kickstarted for it.
