I quit WoW a few months ago after the announcement of the next expansion pack and the revelation that there'd be no more content patches for Pandaria.

I quit playing after I was doing 10-man raids with my girlfriend's brother and he was fucking useless. Wanted a "casual raid" event but then kicked his own sister for not meeting DPS targets. Lol.

Anyway, kind of gave me a sour taste. I have a shit load of free time now, i should play more.

ToT raid group fell apart when our raid leader left (and he was right to). Haven't been able to really get back into the game since then. ToT heroics drained me too much

Meh, I mean, it's fun. I'm enjoying it mostly as a single player experience, because I'm really into my character/the story I'm creating. I always felt the narrative in WoW was weak, and SWTOR blows it out of the water. Questing is of a similar structure of kill quests/gather quests, but I think SWTOR has streamlined many things that are antiquated in WoW (crafting isn't a grind because you can send NPCs to do it; you can keep the appearance of any gear you want through their modular gear system). Not to mention, SWTOR has some awesome shit that WoW doesn't have, from on-rails Starfox 64-style space combat missions to actual Galactic Starfighter PvP (very difficult but a ton of fun). Hell, I've hated PvP in every game I've played, but SWTOR's PvP is fun as hell.

Honestly enjoying myself so far. Leveling is a slow, steady pace so you have time to sit back and enjoy the world instead of just rushing to endgame. Loving the story, loving the atmosphere, loving p much everything about it.

I really enjoyed SWTOR but it never gripped me once it got to Flashpoints. Group dynamics felt cut and pasted from WoW, but never as good.

No, we're on Thrall.

My buddy and I transferred with the intention of starting a guild. Not that that's faded, but with my move on the horizon and him trying to find a second job that doesn't try and run him into the ground, we're kind of in a holding pattern of leveling the guild, stocking the guild bank and just gearing up in LFR. Definitely a long-term thing we're working on here.
