why did i switch from my original random vote? because it was random so there was no reason to keep it, and because putting a vote on someone else would start conversation.
Because that's about the most scummy thing I've seen in my entire life.

I didn't say that omg wasn't suspicious, and I'd like to hear his reasoning for his switch.

However, most people who claim "trying to start a conversation" end up mafia.
You said it was so random it there was no reason to keep it, so you bandwagoned someone else? I don't understand that. The purpose of a random vote is to make it random.

I wrote:Because that's about the most scummy thing I've seen in my entire life.
Remember that I've only played Mafia for two months, but I may have been overreacting.
Elias wrote:now, my first vote was my random vote. but when i saw that nothing was happening in this game, I switched it in order to get the game going again.
How much time passed? Your post was at 5:00 on a Friday Night. Then there was another post, then your post again at 10:00 on a Saturday Morning. Hardly enough to call a slow game. That's weak reasoning there.
Elias wrote:If no one switches there vote, then no scum get lynched.
That is a fact. Random votes are there to see how people respond to pressure. Again, only about 17 hours passed in between your votes, and only one post. I don't see why you switched.
Elias wrote: if my vote is random, and I dont find who im voting for suspicious, whats wrong with attempting to start conversation by joining a bandwagon, as long as I dont have serious intent to lynch?
Bandwagons usually do have intent to lynch. Not always, but usually.
its true that you never said OMG wasnt suspicious, but you thats only because you never mentioned him at all.
I don't understand what you're saying here.
Elias wrote:even though I explained myself.
Am explaining, not explained. Keep the present and past tenses different from each other.
you never addressed my question as to why you would jump on me but ignore OMG.
You are scummy because you jump on a bandwagon and claim that you're only doing it to start conversation and claim the game is going slowly. I'd also like to add that omg didn't jump on a bandwagon, like you did.

I still got my eye on him.

I started playing at a site other than MafiaScum, and in my experience there, that's what usually happens. It may not be as true here, where the quality of play is 10X better. (Usually massclaim starts Day 2 there)

Die scum was half a joke.

The scummy thing was overweighted, but it was true.

Most end up Mafia is true in my experience.

MeMe wrote:The answers were detailed quite nicely in about a dozen posts lost in the move, which you should have read upon your return.
Yeah, but it's confusing walking into Mafia games without previous data. A small summary, if you please.
MeMe wrote:1) why didn't you share thoughts after the "reread" you claimed to be performing rather than dropping an out-of-nowhere post that you were going to be gone for more than a week?
Ever prepared for a trip? I was going to reread the day before the trip, but I only got on for about 20 minutes online. Enough to post that same message in all of my seven games here, and two at heavengames. Also, I belong to many more forums than that.
MeMe wrote:how come you didn't contribute (or even promise to do so) once you got back?
As stated previously, I belong to many forums, and many games of Mafia, and many games here of Mafia, and this happened to be the last one that I caught up on the material I missed. The I'm back was to tell everyone that I was back, not that I was caught up. It wasn't until later that I started participating more actively.

MeMe wrote:but for all you'd know I'm actually preparing for a trip that I'm not bothering to tell you about. Have I grasped the proper use of that excuse?
I'm not lying that I was on a trip, and I can see that I have no way to prove it. You can look at these games:

Mafia 56
Mafia 57
Mafia 62
Mafia 63

It's up to you. I wouldn't fake going on vacation, if that's what you're implying. Also. I'm not the most inactive player, The Shadow is. Look at statistics.

Well, yes, but now that your active again, we expect you to read the enitre thread before you accuse someone of vote hopping.
I did read the thread but we lost data.
What I'm saying is that you made it look as though you were about to contribute with the "rereading" post and then left us hanging -- with no forewarning -- for a really long time.
I realize it looks this way, but it's hard to find time in a busy life.
MeMe wrote:If you truly didn't read the missing content, it doesn't work in your favor, nor should it fall on those of us who did to recreate them for you now.
I did read the missing content, but as you realize, I'm in more than one game. I have to remember a lot in and out of Mafiascum.

If nobody can recreate evidence for me, then how the hell am I supposed to defend myself?

You have yet to post evidence about me since the server move. I don't understand why you think I can remember everything. Even one paragraph would be enough. I've played two games where I've been lynched without any reason. I'd like a reason for your vote.

From the most recent behavior, omg comes off as the most scummy. However, I can see him showing up as town, since his behavior has been consistent all game. Omg, perhaps insulting and yelling at people isn't the best way to play.

kilmenator comes off scummy, but not very. I can't see much hard evidence on his posts, they just don't seem right.

Anyway, good post, Javert. I really hadn't seen kil as very scummy until your post.

But at what cost? To lose a bad townie is a good idea? Lynching a townie is a good idea, even if they aren't good? Doesn't make sense to me, but it seems more of a policy discussion than an ingame discussion.

Sorry for not posting for so long. I kinda forgot about this game for a while.

Somewhat scummy , or very scummy

MeMe - Something sublime in the posts just disturbs me..
ac1983fan - Suggesting no-lynch, claiming roleblocker, but I don't believe that
omg_im_innocent_wft - Very bad playstyle, but it's at least consistent. Very possible townie, but not much to suggest it.
Not much of a read

Barromán - I'll have to look at his posts on their own later on.
Sweenytodd - Just replaced a very inactive
Nocmen- Not very many posts at all

Not scummy

Javert - Good analysis, looking townie
SV - Good analysis, looking townie so far, but hasn't had much time to slip up either
Elias_the_thief - I was originally wrong in my accusation, now he's seeming much better to me

kilmenator - Not quite townie, not quite scum. I'm just not sure.
