why did i switch from my original random vote? because it was random so there was no reason to keep it, and because putting a vote on someone else would start conversation.

Because that's about the most scummy thing I've seen in my entire life.

However, most people who claim "trying to start a conversation" end up mafia.
You said it was so random it there was no reason to keep it, so you bandwagoned someone else? I don't understand that. The purpose of a random vote is to make it random.

Remember that I've only played Mafia for two months, but I may have been overreacting.

now, my first vote was my random vote. but when i saw that nothing was happening in this game, I switched it in order to get the game going again.

How much time passed? Your post was at 5:00 on a Friday Night. Then there was another post, then your post again at 10:00 on a Saturday Morning. Hardly enough to call a slow game. That's weak reasoning there.

If no one switches there vote, then no scum get lynched.

That is a fact. Random votes are there to see how people respond to pressure. Again, only about 17 hours passed in between your votes, and only one post. I don't see why you switched.

Bandwagons usually do have intent to lynch. Not always, but usually.

I started playing at a site other than MafiaScum, and in my experience there, that's what usually happens. It may not be as true here, where the quality of play is 10X better. (Usually massclaim starts Day 2 there)

He has an interesting habit of overweighting his points (e.g. "die scum" "most scummy thing I've seen in my entire life" and the unsupported "most...end up mafia" sentiment that prompted me to question him). He's certainly worth watching.

The scummy thing was overweighted, but it was true.

Most end up Mafia is true in my experience.

Yeah, but it's confusing walking into Mafia games without previous data. A small summary, if you please.

1) why didn't you share thoughts after the "reread" you claimed to be performing rather than dropping an out-of-nowhere post that you were going to be gone for more than a week?

Ever prepared for a trip? I was going to reread the day before the trip, but I only got on for about 20 minutes online. Enough to post that same message in all of my seven games here, and two at heavengames. Also, I belong to many more forums than that.

As stated previously, I belong to many forums, and many games of Mafia, and many games here of Mafia, and this happened to be the last one that I caught up on the material I missed. The I'm back was to tell everyone that I was back, not that I was caught up. It wasn't until later that I started participating more actively.

I did read the missing content, but as you realize, I'm in more than one game. I have to remember a lot in and out of Mafiascum.

From the most recent behavior, omg comes off as the most scummy. However, I can see him showing up as town, since his behavior has been consistent all game. Omg, perhaps insulting and yelling at people isn't the best way to play.

kilmenator comes off scummy, but not very. I can't see much hard evidence on his posts, they just don't seem right.

Anyway, good post, Javert. I really hadn't seen kil as very scummy until your post.

If someone plays scummy, they are not helpful to the town, so they are just a liability, and it is smart to be done with them IMO.

But at what cost? To lose a bad townie is a good idea? Lynching a townie is a good idea, even if they aren't good? Doesn't make sense to me, but it seems more of a policy discussion than an ingame discussion.

I never defended him directly. I said that losing a townie is bad, if he is a townie, which I am completely unsure of, but I never defended his actions.
