Ideally, yes, but IMO it's pretty unreasonable to expect everyone to forget what just happened when the new game starts with Pidgeys everywhere. Even if Jesus 2.0 sticks as a name, I think the newer things that come up over this playthrough will eventually drown out the rehashed stuff. But, when not much has had time to happen yet, of course people are going to keep hold of what's still fresh in their minds.

They're fighting Red. He has his Pokemon from the first run! No confirmation yet on whether they're the same levels or have been beefed up because only Zapdos came out.

Got a good chuckle after watching them painstakingly teach and use Flash in democracy, then enter anarchy and immediately leave Mt Silver.
