The rules can be found here.

To participate, simply post "/in" in the thread and send me a PM with two powers.
Once I have received all powers I will reveal the powers and the bidding phase will begin.
Communication is private will be permitted after the bidding phase has begun.
You may select a superhero name now, or after you have won your powers.

Multiply your normal Attacks by 1.5. Any Hero Damaged by Blazing Shillelagh must spend Energy equal to the Damage sustained on nothing during the following round.

Spend 10: Any Hero that Attacks you this round may not use any Powers on their next round, and the effects of any Powers they are already using are negated.

The Inventor

Every round after the Resolution Phase the Inventor shall create a new Power to be revealed to all during the Allocation Phase of the next round. Bidding for this new Power will take place simultaneously alongside that round's allocation phase, and all bids are also considered to be Spent Energy for that round (so if you have 100 Energy and bid 40 for this power you may only spend 60 Energy). After Bidding for this power is completed The Inventor shall gain half the new power's Power strength in Energy, rounded up. The winning bidder will lose the energy spent on the new Power.
The Inventor will submit the proposed power to me, I will review it first before posting it. The Inventor is permitted to bid on his own item.

Whoever wins Sniper can not be attacked by the Sniper.

Con Artist

Burn 10% of your Energy, rounded up, and obtain a copy of another Power from a player of your choice. Can be used more than once.

Set Fire to the Rain

You may do one, or both of the below:
  • Spend 25 energy, you may distribute 30 Attack Points. You may not use any other Attacks if you are using this power.
  • Spend 50 energy, you may distribute 100 Attack Points. Hero is free to use normal Attacks on this turn as well. This may only be used once per weather cycle, and only while it is raining.
A new Weather Cycle occurs if it were to stop raining, and then somehow start raining again.
If you choose to use both in the same turn, you are welcome to use any other normal attacks as well.

Pack an Umbrella

As long as this power is in play (Hero with it is still alive), it is raining.
If at least one Umbrella is in play, it is raining.

Big, Gnashy Claws

You may restore 10 Energy to any Hero except yourself, once per round. Next round, that Hero may not make any aggressive acts towards you.

No, generally, attackers would not take damage as a result of their attack (+ any other attacks) being less than the target's defense.

I say generally, because whatever powers are in play can affect when and how someone gets damaged.

POWER AUCTION


Welcome friends, to the power auction! Below are the twelve powers that you submitted. Highest bidder wins! A couple of ground rules to go over:

  • You must PM your bids. Your may choose to bid on as few or as many powers as you want.

  • You may communicate with each other in private now if you wish.

  • In the event of a tie for highest bid, the two players will rebid on the power.

  • In the event that a power has no bids on it, that power will be discarded.

  • You all start with 100 Energy. Bids will be resolved in the order they are listed below. In the event you no longer have enough energy to carry out your next bid, that bid will be redacted.

  • You may choose to discard any power you win - but you still lose the energy you bid on it.

  • The red font indicates mod notes and clarification.


Flight

Spend all of your Energy: All Attacks against you, including those modified or as a result of powers, are reduced to zero. This may not be used on consecutive turns.


Big, Gnashy Claws

AN EXPLOSIVE BATTLE BEGINS


Six valiant heroes meet up to prove which one of them is the best of the best. Their battleground? Hydro City, just off the easy coast. In the main street is a giant television screen broadcasting news and advertisements. The weather woman mentions there's a chance of rain.

SleepyKrew smirks and grips his umbrella. Everyone else around him seems to be unprepared.

The weather woman is interrupted. "BREAKING NEWS!" shouts an announcer. "BETTY BOOM has announced that she plans to blow up Hydro City! Somewhere in the city she has planted a bomb with catastrophic consequences!" A timer appears below the man. Three hours. And counting down. "Sources believe the bomb will detonate in three hours. We're calling on all heroes to help disarm the bomb!"




Big Bomb

Any hero may spend energy towards disarming the bomb. If a total of 100 energy is spent by the end of the third round, the bomb will be disarmed. If the bomb is not disarmed by the conclusion of the third round, the entire city, and all the heroes, will be blown to bits.
Please note, you are not attacking the bomb, you are spending energy to disarm it.
If there is one hero remaining at the end of Round 1 or 2, he must still attempt to disarm the bomb.
If the bomb detonates, everyone loses.

ROUND 1: Disarming the Bomb


With some help from above, and a bomb squad at his side,
Pastor Pandemonium
quickly locates the bomb at the top of a tower. He begins defusing it.

Footsteps. Nearby. The Pastor knows there is time to come back later. He will not be causing any pandemonium today. He runs off and protects himself.

The Meditator

approach the bomb. They high-five. While Batkid disarms the bomb, The Meditator tries to use his Tai-Chi to mimic some of Batkid's defenses. Unfortunately, he reaps no benefits.

"BAM BAM BAM!" Batkid shouts.

The Meditator looks at him funny.

"It's disarmed!" Batkid grins. The Meditator high-fives him.

Batkid eyes them as they wrestle about, "Ummm, I think I'll leave now…"

Puddy Tat
leaps out from the shadow and makes his move. WHAM! POP! GLOP!

Peacekeeper and Meditator get back to their fight. Peacekeeper sees an opening and tosses The Meditator out the window.

50 stories down.

Peacekeeper walks out into the street and sees the Meditator badly damaged from his fall, "Awww, I'm sorry about that." Peacekeeper taps him on the nose and a healing light glazes over the Meditator, "There, that will make you feel better."

Forgot about sniper. Both Xalxe and Peacekeeper will be attacked by the sniper since they tied for lowest defense.

ROUND 2: The First to Fall


The rain continues to pour. We find our first hero at a church.

Pastor Pandemonium
decides to take shelter from the weather and takes some time to pray.

But while he may think he is safe in God's haven,
Puddy Tat
leaps out from under a Pew and THWAP!

"Arghhh," the Pastor moans. The Pastor follows him outside, but he's vanished. He curses. He looks down at his arm, "What is this red dot?" Snip. A bullet rips through his arm.

He looks up to see a Sniper across the street. He darts back into his church.



Meanwhile, somewhere nearby,

fight over the

.

The rain continues to pour.

While they focus on the guns,

Rain Man gasps. Blood begins to seep through his wound and mixes with the rain.

ROUND 3: Vengeance


The Meditator
and
Batkid
talk in hushed voices.

"He killed our friend!"
"I know."
"I don't know what to do! I have no meditations for this! We have to do something!"
"I know."
"Breathe in. Breathe out. Imagine a place of tranquil- arghh! I'm going to CRUSH him!"
"Follow me."



Pastor Pandemonium
and
Peacekeeper
approach the
Green Gas Bombs
.

"These are mine Mr!" Peacekeeper snatches them. The Pastor smiles kindly. "Oh, you didn't want them," the Peacekeeper says.

"Tell me," the Pastor begins, "Why does a hero by the name of Peacekeeper cause so much violence? Have you lost your way?"

"Well maybe I should ask you the same. Why is someone named Pandemonium so calm and collected?" The Peacekeeper responds defensively.

The Pastor & Peacekeeper engage in a long conversation.

The Peacekeeper contemplates. Memories of good deeds and bad flash over him. He begins to confess his wrong-doings. He reflects on the pain of his dead parents. And how his ex's behavior drove him to be agitated and violent. After a deep, meaningfully discussion, the Peacekeeper smiles, "Thank you for listening." The Peacekeeper taps the Pastor and a healing light glazes over him.

But their touching moment is cut short as two raging bullets are fired at them. In a flash, Pastor Pandemonium is covered in blood and crumbled against the wall, a gaping hole in his chest. The Peacekeeper struggles to get back up. A huge wound gaping from his leg, but he's still alive.

"Hey there,"
The Meditator
smiles at The Peacekeeper. The Peacekeeper's eyes widen.

BAM!

The Meditator pummels The Peacekeeper.

The scene is covered in blood. Batkid and The Meditator high-five, victorious in their feat.

But the fight is not over.
Puddy Tat
leaps from the shadows. BAM! BOOM! POW! KABLAM!

Batkid and The Meditator are caught off guard and tumble to the ground. Puddy spares Pastor & Peacekeeper no mercy as he puts them out of their misery.

Pastor looks over at Peacekeeper. He had so much potential to change. But now, it's gone. The Pastor watches as Puddy leaps away. With his dying breath, the Pastor casts a powerful metamorphosis on Puddy Tat.

ROUND 4: The Showdown


The Meditator
and
Batkid
get back on their feet.

"We have to take him down, we can do this together," The Meditator says.
Batkid nods.

The two wander the streets looking for the Puddy, but he is no where to be found.

Hours pass.

The Meditator pauses and decides to use some meditations to clear his mind.

Bad timing.

Caught off guard,
Puddy Tat
pounces.

A swift uppercut to The Meditator. The Meditator quickly blocks the attach and retracts. He flees the scene, leaving Batkid all alone.

Batkid grins and raises his really big guns.

Puddy Tat leaps into the air and swats the guns to the ground. Something resembling fear flashes in Batkid's eyes.

Puddy Tat grabs Batkid by his collar and tosses him into an oncoming car.

Batkid recovers, blood pouring from his body.

"
Pew pew bitch
," Puddy Tat mocks as he fires the really big guns.

ROUND 5: Cat and Mouse


The Meditator
keeps running. He knows his time is up. All the meditations in the world couldn't save him now. He peaks around the corner. Nothing.

He recounts his Tai-Chi method. No, nothing that can help him.

Creak.

Something is approaching from the south. The Meditator runs in the opposite direction.

After some time, The Meditator finds himself down an empty street. Safe from danger. Or so he thinks.

Another sound.

The Meditator leaps down an alley, cloaked in shadow. A perfect hiding spot so he can catch Puddy Tat off guard.

But he's not in the alley alone. The
Puddy Tat
pounces.
