hi all, my name is dawn_to_dusk, other forums generally refer to me as dawn, d2d or dtd but call me whatever you feel seems right.

i have played mafia on a few other forums but am not as experienced as a lot of other players here. it seemed a fun forum game on other sites and im quite surprised that there is a whole forum dedicated to it.

gotta get used to this forum format now, very different to others ^^

Internet-wise I am a volunteer staff member at a League of Legends news site,

Surrender@20

, where I compile summaries of AMAs teams at Riot Games decide to do on reddit. I also moderate the comments section and am an extra hand on deck to help grab screenshots/video and test air client values when the public beta environment goes live after a patch.

Mafia-wise, I used to play on an old phpbb forum that I quit awhile back, as I decided I didn't have the time anymore. Recently, I've had a hankering for mafia, so I decided to start afresh at this forum!

I think not being much of a talker is the case for a fair few of us here. This often oddly disappears when there is scum around to lynch though.

Is this the place to say "Hello mafiascum.net"? It looks like the place to say that. Well I can't claim by any standard that I'm good at mafia, having somehow found a way to screw up in every game I was in back when I tried playing mafia on another website, and I'm hoping I might learn how not to screw up because mafia is a fun game and it'd be a shame if I couldn't enjoy it.

Kublai Khan: I might have misused that abbreviation; I've meant In Real Life.
A friend of mine told us about mafia for the first time back in 1992 or so. Later it became our favourite "party game".
Over the years we've reached a quite balanced yet funny setup with rules which had been inevitably different from the Internet rules. If you're interested in them I might explain.

I think you just misunderstood his question.

He meant "where at in real life?" because we have a lot of scummers that have played mafia in real life (and a lot of scummers in a lot of places), so there's a chance you might actually have met someone on here before.

I don't think anyone has already met me before. You know, I live in Hungary, which is a small and insignificant country. So, we've been playing mafia only with several groups of friends. If there are organized games in our country, I've never heard any of them (nor my friends).
