Question: If Imagine Breaker's active targets Boycott's user, what happens?
Boycott will resolve first, negating the activation of Imagine Breaker
Question: If Crystalize is copied by Fake Gold, does the copy start over at X=1?
Yes.
Question: Can Fake Gold be used more than once in a turn?
No. Once Fake Gold has been activated, the user loses use of this power.
Question: If a player with Imagine Breaker uses Fake Gold, what happens?
The player is unable to activate Fake Gold due to Imagine Breaker's passiveLast edited by Caycedo on Sun Jun 01, 2014 2:04 pm, edited 1 time in total.- Thurhame

Boycott only negates active powers (used) that round, so I assume it wouldn't affect Passives like Beyond the Grave or Antimatter Body, or continued effects like Spell of Berserk's effect. Which also means it wouldn't affect Imagine Breaker's passive, making my first question moot.
I second the Yin Essence + All In question. Are their effects considered consecutively (e.g. for an attack of 20, Yin Essence gives a bonus of 10, then All In gives a bonus of (20+10=) 30) or are both bonuses calculated off the base attack strength?
Imagine Breaker is the ability of Kamijou Touma, protagonist ofA Certain Magical Indexand major character inA Certain Scientific Railgun. It resides in his right hand and nullifies any supernatural effect he touches, be it psychic abilities, magic, whatever. It even negates his own "fortune", leaving him a really unlucky guy.Last edited by Thurhame on Sun Jun 01, 2014 12:31 pm, edited 1 time in total.- Thurhame

If you changed Imagine Breaker to only affect active abilities, it would be nice if you put that in the ability's description. (I intended it to affect all abilities, as it's current description says.)
Amended. Thank you for your understanding.Last edited by Caycedo on Sun Jun 01, 2014 3:01 pm, edited 1 time in total.- Thurhame

How does Crystalize combine with Yang Essence? i.e. I spend 20 on defense and 20 on Crystalize for +4 while holding Yang Essence; what is my defense?
Crystallize and Yang Essence do not interact.
If Power Bomb and its target are used in the same turn, does it trigger immediately or only for future activations of the target?
Power Bomb will trigger upon thenextactivation of the targeted power- Thurhame

I don't understand "do not interact"; I consider the fact that they affect the same stat interacting. In the above example, would my defense be 34 or 36?In post 32, Thurhame wrote:How does Crystalize combine with Yang Essence? i.e. I spend 20 on defense and 20 on Crystalize for +4 while holding Yang Essence; what is my defense?
Crystallize and Yang Essence do not interact.
Thank you for clarifying. Your defense would be 34, as the bonus defense gained by Crystallize is not increased by Yang Essence.Last edited by Caycedo on Tue Jun 03, 2014 10:49 am, edited 1 time in total.- Thurhame

It would be nice if this was added to their descriptions. For example,In post 29, Save The Dragons wrote:Imagine powers like All In as a potion. When the player has drank (read: activated) the power, Fake Gold cannot switch the power as it has already been consumed.

Question about Batman Captions: What is a "set of damage"?
For example, say SomeGuy (energy 100) gets hit by three attacks of 20, 30, and 50. He uses his defense of 20 to block the first attack, leaving 80 damage incoming.
Batman wishes to increase the damage to SomeGuy as much as possible. How many times can he use his Batman Captions ability against SomeGuy: 1, 2, or 3 times?
Also, is Batman Captions an activated power, since it says "may"?- Thurhame

In case it got hidden by the page change, I'd like to repeat my question to the mod. How does the bunny work, i.e. What does "a very special visit" mean?
Also, for spending energy on distracting the bunny: How do ties work, and is there any difference between the "most energy" victim and the "least energy" victim?- Thurhame

I joined this game because all the mechanics were open at the start, letting us focus on strategy and diplomacy. If you're going to bastard mod hide things from us, then go ahead and replace me.- Thurhame

Perhaps it's inspired byIn post 58, Blackberry wrote:I don't think there should have been a distinction of "activated" vs "passive" - but that's just my personal opinion.Magic: The Gathering's distinction between "activated," "triggered," and "continuous"? Most ability counters only affect activated abilities, and some can counter active or triggered abilities, but continuous abilities can't be countered at all (except by destroying the permanent they belong to, analagous to discarding a power here). - Thurhame
