@Thurhame and D3f3nd3r: I would suggest that you withdraw your challenges, unless you feel confident that you can get exactly 2 victories.

Explanation: You are currently at 4 points, which ensures that you will not be last. The four lowest scores are currently 0, 1, 2 and 2. To get these players to 4 points each would require a total of 4 + 3 + 2 + 2 = 11 points. However, only 20 cards remain in play, which can account for at most 10 points (not to mention that Hyperion has already used 10 cards). So, one of those 4 players will be last, no matter what. Hence you are safe from last place, but might have some difficulty getting to first place. On the other hand, if two of your cards have different values, you can offer the higher one to someone with 5 points (not necessarily me, don't want to be self-serving here), and challenge them with the lower card. That will put them at 6 points and create an extra sapphire.

Please think about it.

Eventually, you will either be the last player remaining, or you will be eliminated. If you are eliminated, there is nothing to lose by allowing more sapphires to exist. If you win, then more sapphires in existence is better.

Tell you what: If you give me that extra point and you are still playing next round, I will give you the extra sapphire. The same goes for D3f3nd3r, but the offer is only available to the first one of you to take it, because otherwise, this would defeat the purpose.

Although, like I said, if you feel confident you can get 2 victories, you can go for it, yourself.

Out of curiosity, can we see the sequences of questions the two players used?

If everyone agrees, we can vote on two players to go to the deathmatch, and then simply make two chains. Basically, here is the method:

- Step 1: Everyone votes on two people they would prefer to send to the deathmatch. The one with the most votes is chosen to go.
- Step 2: Everyone reveals their number.
- Step 3: A second player is chosen to go to the deathmatch. His number has to be either 1 or 6 steps away from the first chosen player's (in the algebraic sense).
- Step 4: We wait for the appropriate round, and move to form the 2 chains. This must not happen prematurely.
- Step 5: Each chain centre player gives 1 sapphire to each player in his chain, and another one to the winner of the deathmatch. The centres end up with 2 sapphires more, each, the winner of the deathmatch gets the sapphires of the loser, 2 from the centres and any that the deathmatch creates. (This bit is negotiable.)
