Board Games!

So talking to a few friends as work thinking about starting to play some Board games. Not sure what to play though /sigh

what type of games do you guys have experience with? do you think they're more of a "theme" game player or a mechanic game player?

My friends play Talisman and owns it. Me not much at all. And it all depends. If the mechanics or themes are good Im interested.
I mean I've played some D&D if it helps. Maybe something Co-Op wouldn't be too bad.

Picked up some Dice Master boosters nothing of note.

But looking for more Co-Op board games. Have Zombicide. Thinking about picking up Arkham Horror..Any other suggestions aside Pandemic?
