Basically, Junko, Leon, and Sayaka being the first three gone was NOT the direction I was expecting this to take at all. WTF

Hina - After the class trial, being so stressed out and cannot sleep because she wants a donut, so she heads to the dining hall which is obviously gonna be closed since it's nighttime, then hears a weird noise from the sauna and investigates, and sees the weird disembodied head of Chihiro in a locker, only for her to be alive but with a stomachache the next day <3
2. Taka - Sauna champion <3 He's a little disappointed now so IDK how I will feel soon
3. Kyoko - I feel like Kyoko and Sakura could overtake Hina and Taka based on what goes on in this episode. I totally thought Genocide Jack was going to be revealed to be Kyoko and she would be like the Ultimate Serial Killer or something
4. Sakura - Just a nice person <3
5. TOKO / GENOCIDE JILL - Omg what an amazing twist <3 I'm excited to plunge forward with this new totally insane serial killer in the mix <3

This case did falter a little because during the fourth floor exploration it was like "ooh there's a cabinet full of poison!" and then the murder happens and they are like, "OMG VOMITING BLOOD? DRINKS? HOW COULD THIS HAVE HAPPENED WHARRRRGARBL" It was very twisty though, with like Hina, Toko, and Hiro all admitting to the murder and then you possibly thinking Byakuya did it (never mind Kyoko because at this point she's never going to die

I love how unintentionally hilarious things were. And then that fakeout snapshot of "hope" at Hope's Peak . . . hilarious and terrifying rolled up into one!

THIS WHOLE MURDER IS PREPOSTEROUS, ESPECIALLY WHEN THERE'S NOT AN ULTIMATE LUCKY STUDENT IN THE BUILDING
LIKE A SHOT PUT ROLLS DOWN A VENT, DOWN SOME STACKED BOOKS AND ONTO SOMEONE'S HEAD? THERE'S SO MANY PLACES THAT ALONE FALLS APART IT'S NOT EVEN FUNNY
ALSO SO RANTARO OPENED THE DOOR, HAD THE CAMERA FLASH GO OFF, AND TOOK 30 SECONDS TO CROSS THE ROOM AND CHECK IT OUT? THAT CAMERA ONLY GOES OFF WHEN THE HIDDEN BOOKCASE DOOR MOVES UGGGGH

I LITERALLY WAS LIKE SHUICHI WITH OUTSIDE CHANCE OF GONTA/KAITO/MIU/TSUMUGI, THEN "OMG IT WAS A SUICIDE!!! WOW" THEN EVEN TOWARDS THE END I STILL COULDN'T BELIEVE IT AND THOUGHT THEY WERE GOING TO REVEAL RANTARO TO BE ULTIMATE MIND CONTROLLER OR SOMETHING AND TOOK CONTROL OF KAEDE TO MASTERMIND THIS
I am glad Angie somehow made it past Chapter 1, the queen <3 Praise be to Atua <3
And also the Monokids dying one by one is satisfying because they are so annoying

This case was bollocks. Remember how the entire pre-intermission was spent discussing stuff that didn't matter waow. Hate this lying mechanic that somehow always moves the trial along instead of backfiring. No one caring that Kokichi was randomly telling Ryoma about his motive video after the Insect Meet and Greet. Love that some fabric just sealed Kirumi's fate like that. Also I'm glad I have this CAR DRIVING GAME NOW THAT'S JUST WHAT I WANTED THE PEOPLE WANT LOGIC DIVE BACK PLS

What a fascinating episode! Maki's ascent, ANGIE FORMING A CULT, the double murder, and sneaky Kaito? Maybe the best episode of DR ever?
The case was pretty straightforward, didn't get hung up on anything. I mean, I had no clue whodunnit and still think like Tsumugi could've just done it really well and gotten away with it lol Random three-room haunted house atmosphere tho. This game is getting a little tacky with its setups tbh, can't wait to see what they're doing in Episode 4 to trump Grape Tower / Strawberry Tower
1. Angie - Angie hitting her full power and FORMING A CULT only to get murdered is like the peak way for her story to end. In the end just a well-meaning queen tho, we stan
2. Keebo - Just like the perfect boy? Excited for this weird....romance with Miu. Also him having a flashlight function that is barely relevant for this case <3
3. Maki - rebirth queen <3 her "do you want to die?" phrase is corny af but she's bae <3
4. Tsumugi - OK hear me out. Tsumugi somehow being INV0 this episode, barely suspected. Like love the alternate world where DRV3 does the biggest twist by having her pull of the perfect crime here, and have everyone else killed as she speeds off to a con
5. Miu - For the general likeable energy of Miu there's a real poopy stinger of a line from her every once in a while that prevents me from ranking her higher. Love her weirdness tho <3
6. Shuichi - OK he's growing on me but he's such a Mary Sue
7. Tenko - pure queen that's all there is to say
8. Himiko - OK now she's boring endgame background character. Please die unexpectedly in the Cherry Cabana
9. Kaito - sneaky king <3 Kind of thought he was going to be murderer this time but guess we're wrapping that to Episode 4
10. Kokichi - This nasty boy is growing on me shirley but slowly
11. Gonta - I just can't get into Gonta? Like his Tarzan schtick isn't really appealing
12. Korekiyo - What a tumble. I think I probably started this episode really liking Kiyo but the 1-2-3 punch of him murdering Tenko, him murdering Angie, and the generally sloppy alternate identity reveal got me. I really didn't expect it to unravel in just one chapter, much less over the course of the back half of a trial
Yeah that's the tea. I'll always slurp up a DR for the pulpiness I think but boyyyy do these games have serious problems.
