I finished designing, but I'd still like a reviewer. I'm near the end of the queue so it's no rush, but any help would be appreciated :)

Code: Select all

Roles
* 2 Town Masons (Single factional recruit per night)
* 2 Cultists (Single factional recruit per night)
* 5-7 Vanilla Townspeople

Rules
* No factional night kills
* If masons try to recruit cultists or vice versa, recruit fails
* If masons and cultists try to recruit the same VT, the VT is night killed
* When only 1 or 2 townies remain at day start, they become unrecruitable
* Cultists and masons only have night-talk

Wincons
* Faction wins if they control 50% of town or other faction is eliminated (VTs do not count toward this total)
* Town wins with masons

I -think- this is the right place to ask this. Someone yell at me and correct me if I'm wrong. I've done some wiki research, but I wasn't able to find anything there. Has anyone played/modded a game setup similar to this before? Came up with this last night before I went to sleep and I think it'd be pretty fun to play.

Making Friends and Enemies is somewhat similar, though with Mafia instead of Cult and an NK for the Scum instead of a Recruit.

^ That's what inspired the idea, I think. I like the idea of giving the town and the scum the ability to build a team over time and to make the lynch the most powerful weapon of both teams. Might be fun to run it at some point.

This setup is 95 percent breakable for town win in an open setup.

Have masons claim day 1.

If Mason pair gets CCed by cult pair, lynch one to determine guilt. If you lynch a cult, you have 2 masons confirmed for 100 percent town win as confirm towns will always outnumber possible scum. If you lynch a mason you still have a decent chance as you now have a confirmed town. Mason recruits are confirmed town and failed mason attempts mean you found a cult recruit.

If Mason pair does not get CCed you auto win in lynch or lose situation and you play follow the masons during the day.

This cult would have a less than 5 percent chance at victory.

Points taken. Avoiding bastard mod setups, I don't think I could fix that. Shame. I like the idea of two mutually opposed recruiting teams.

Anyone want to have a quick look at a setup I have for my game in the micro queue?

Its advertised as a bit bastard, swingy and a bit unbalanced.

I just need this to make sure I've not put together an insanely not fun game

cheers :)

Looking for a reviewer for a Breaking Bad themed game.

I know I'm not eligible to mod here but I'd still like to have someone look at it.

Heyyo. Firstly, most of my experience playing, modding, and the like has all been
off site
. Anyways, I have a
Large (Role-Madness, Mind Screw, etc) Set Up
I would like someone to review and look over with me. I originally designed with game with a player and mad for the purpose to be ran on another site, however, their playerbase could not support the 20 Player slots and all the activity it took to support the game. Tom played and modded on this site as well but has not been around here, nor their, for about two years. This set up was abandoned D3?, iirc, due to inactivity and people not paying it the respect and giving it the time it took to invest in this game. I've always thought of reworking and running the set up on that site again, however, it came to mind that it could be ran here with a co-mod. I do
not
currently meet the modding requirements for this site, nor have ever modded a game here, however I have modded, and co-modded many games off site. Not as many as I'd have liked though.

Anywas, without further adieu:

Name: M-Screw Mafia

Number of Players: 20 (+ or -)
:wink:
Theme: Game itself is loosely based around the matrix. Loosely. Otherwise, flavour is game dependent.

Looking forward to anyone interested in reviewing the game,
the game already has a master sheet set up
from it being attempted previously (NOT on this site ofc). This includes pre-game PMs, and all workings of course, also the game's NAR, and other massages necessary. :D

Would like someone who has worked with this type of set up, of course, but welcome all opinions! I, of course, probably have limited modding experience in comparison to the lot of you, but I can assure you that the game has it's redeeming qualities, and took Tom and I well several months and many long hours of Skype and AIM to get this game to the point from where you'll be reading it and reviewing it! Thanks in advance! PM me or something I guess? Hahaha.

I've got 2 setups which I may use later once I'm a 3 months member. One of them is rather complex so having an understanding on balance would be needed. PM if interested.

Looking for a reviewer or two (or maybe three) for a Dilbert Mafia (mini theme).

Currently have 2. A third would be nice.

Also still looking for a reviewer for my O Brother, Where Art Thou? mini theme. Extra hugs if someone would like to help with both.
