I spent like five hours the other night just absorbing as much GW2 info as I possibly could. So far, I think the Warrior looks like the most fun, though Necromancer also seems interesting. I don't like the playstyle of Thief or Ranger... and Engineer just looks underwhelming.

Is there any inherit advantage of taking certain class/race combos like in WoW? Or are there even racial bonuses?

I'm also curious for what the "endgame" of GW2 is going to look like. That seems to be the biggest problem IMO with MMOs. They can provide you a solid experience but how do they keep the experience going?

on a more serious note isn't it possible to have two guild leaders? obviously one would be a custom role in the guild created specifically for that person, but if you just give a certain role the same permissions as guild leader won't it all be the same

Dicked around with a Sylvari Warrior and Asura Mesmer.

Warrior seems fun but pretty straightforward/boring. We'll see what happens once I get to play around with other weapon combinations.

Mesmer was a blast, but I could see it being rather tricky to play. Also some things didn't make sense to me... why waste time autoattacking when you have abilities that just straight up summon copies of yourself?

also: how important is building for PvE versus building for PvP?

in WoW it was pretty much you were one or the other, but in GW2, since you autoscale in PvP, it seems like getting a gearset/weaponset/spec that fits PvP the best is the way to go (esp since there's no raid type hardcore PvE content for endgame)

like I REALLY love playing my greatsword Mesmer right now but it's super glass cannon and I know that shit won't fly in PvP

I'm just so unsure on how to play the Mesmer. Nothing feels exactly right. This class is quite complicated.

I see Mesmers sometimes wind up being pure supports in PvP, which is interesting, but support isn't going to do much for anyone in PvE when I'm solo questing. HOW DO I DO THE DEEPS?

My necro is lvl 51 and it's sorta overwhelming, though I read some shit and apparently necros are really bad? I dunno, but I currently have:

Lvl 51 Necro (confused as fk & nekkid)
Lvl 31? Warrior (ayyyy)
Lvl 19? Mesmer (I think it's a Mesmer anyway but fuck the Norn areas are so bad)
Lvl 14 Elementalist (loving it. this is my "leveling with Grimm" character)

I don't think I want to level more than two of these so it'll probably be Ele + Necro or Ele + Warrior...mostly because I'm probably going to do the level grind over again in a few months when the expansion hits so I can level a Revenant, so I don't wanna burn myself out
