We ran that one a day or two ago in about 20 minutes. That's the easiest dungeon though so your mileage will greatly vary in other dungeons.

I've been playing it as well, and I like the changes too.

One thing I'd again like to highlight: The GW2 community is amazing. Everybody is friendly and helpful, and that's entirely due to a a great game design that rewards people for such behavior.

Your endgame is wvw, dungeons and fractals. Gear matters in all those.

low-mid range crafting materials sell for a good amount because Ascended crafting requires them, but they're impossible to find in level 80 zones where people who are crafting Ascended items tend to hang out.

Don't worry about the cost. How many bag slots do you have?

Living Story 2 is actually quite good yes.

Living Story is episodic PvE story content that occurs after your character's regular level 80 content. It's free and replayable provided you logged in at any point that episode was active.
