Cool things I've discovered (and one I found on the Internet)

How to get through really hard classic mode (3ds)
Make a custom Ganondorf. Standard specials, but for equipment: one item must be a critical hit item (20% chance of 3x damage), and for the other two, choose your two items that will give the biggest attack bonuses.
For my, a critical backwards warlock punch will do about 200 damage.
This actually works really well in classic mode, especially in 3ds, against master core. a critical smash will instantly move him to the next stage.

How to do insane damage (but only in the test room of Smash Run)
On 3ds, Make a lucario in the same way you made Ganondorf. however, smash run also lets you add boosts.
Now, Lucario's aura ability means that the higher his damage, the more damage he'll do.
You give lucario the boost that makes his damage go to 999%, but dramatically increases his stats for a short time.
Keep using it until the attack stat is max. Critical hit smash attacks will do around 750 damage.

How to be Supersonic:
Make a sonic in smash run with one that increases land speed (or two), and the rest be speed increasing ones. Then, in the test room, use the same boost until you get max speed.
You can use this in normal games too. For extra speed, do special smash, and turn on fast and bunny hood.

Moon Jumps:
For Jump power, use Luigi, and equipment that increases jump height, then use the boost that increases stats. Again, you can do special smash instead and turn on Bunny and Low Gravity.

How to be insane at Crazy Orders:
Choose a sturdy character, and give them this equipment:
1 Home-Run Bat ***** Badge
2 Fast Bat Smasher ****** Badges.
Sadly, you'll have low stats, but you'll now have a home run bat that takes about .4 seconds to make a 1 hit KO.
So, with this character, do crazy orders, and take this priority for battles:
1 on 1, Metal, Giant, Team, Horde, Free For All.

It's pretty much luck. What youll really want is a critical hitter brawn badge, as this is usable by everyone (as opposed to say, a critical hitter sword, which could only be used by a few characters), and also increases attack. A critical hitter badge that is green (which increases speed a bit, but will decrease attack alot) is not great.
On 3ds, you can get equipment quickly by doing smash run (but this can be swingy and down to chance), but classic mode works well.
With classic mode, when the wheel is spinning, you can press the home button to get it to pause, then if you see its about to land on a red, hold a and unpause from home to get either equipment or custom moves.

For Wii U, Crazy Orders can get you lots of Equipment if you get a high chain. Youll want to actually beat crazy hand, but even if you dont, you wont lose a whole lot of your prizes.
Classic also works for wii u, but the 3ds trick does not.

For both systems, Trophy rush can also work. Itll only really be worth it if you use DK, ground pound the centre repeatedly, then dodge out of the way of the falling bombs, then continue pounding.

So, I made Max Attack Ganondorf, Max Speed Sonic, and Max Jump Luigi, but I was missing a 4th, so I made Max Defense Shulk (but controlled by me [Bowser would work better for a CPU]) and pitted them against eachother in a free for all. Everyone was min-maxed to uselessness. Shulk took hardly any damage (especially since i had him in Shield Monado as much as possible), but he was so slow that he couldnt really recover. Sonic and Luigi were really agile, but they couldnt really do any damage. Ganondorf would do a lot of damage when he hit, but he was too busy being hit around by Shulk because of his really bad Defence.

I then made a Zelda called Shieldmadn (you only get 10 letters), and gave her the following equipment effects:
Shield Regenerator (Shield recharges quicker)
Shield Exploder (Shield against an attack with perfect timing to create an explosion that does ~20 damage)
Shield Reflector (When Shielding, reflect a small amount of damage back at your attackers)
I then went into training mode against 3 Lvl 9 DK's, put speed on 1/4 (while L is held, otherwise freeze), and killed them with my shield.
