We've worked around that in the past. Mods of both games talk to each other to make sure not to schedule challenges at the same time so if they share players, then there's little to no conflict. Or at least, I've always been a huge advocate of mods communicating and always talk to mods running games during/before/after my own games. Because really, that's part of being a good mod. Taking care of your players and trying to make things work for as many people as possible as best you can.

If there was enough interest to run two smaller games side-by-side, then couldn't the mods coordinate so that somebody didn't play in both games?

(Or, for funsies, ensure that each game had the exact same player list?)

Well that is the hope. But that really only works at not breaking ID rules if the mods aren't playing in each others games(which was the case in the past). But I mean if mods aren't playing in each others games, yes it could be done easily enough.

I don't know why we should police who's playing in how many games, I would think some players are fully capable of being in multiple games and they should do so at their discretion.

Instead of games starting at the same time wouldn't it make more sense to stagger them? Maybe start one a month?

I don't think anybody can actually play well in two games at the same time. At best, they're playing well in one game, and neglecting the other. Maybe some people would disagree with me, though.

I think the bigger reason to limit people to one game is more because that would allow more different people to play, so regardless of how well people can manage multiple games, I still think it would be worth it to have some sort of control over that.

I've double dipped before and I've been able to handle it. I don't think we're guaranteed to always have 32+ players wanting to play at the same time where we can't let someone play in two games if they think they can handle it.

On another site, there was someone who was in 8 games at once.

I feel like I can handle multiple games personally. The days that I am inactive are because of work and out of my control. However, the days I have time for the game, I devout plenty to it. I don't see why I can't share the weight of two games.

That being said, I like having 1 game at a time.

Enough people know their boundaries that it could work. I'd put a warning about it in the OP if that happened, but I wouldn't restrict it unless they've already tried it and failed.

I mostly don't want too many excess restrictions because if there are mods of anonymous games are going to have to talk to each other about player composition of their games and thus not only have to worry about more things, but might be disallowed from playing when they otherwise could. Although I guess if we had a restriction about not being able to play in two games, moderating a game is probably just as intensive or more as playing one so it might be a moot point.

I like modding because it's like, oh I'm definitely going to be committed to this game over the next two months, but with playing it's like oh I could stop having to be dedicated to this at any point and it's weird
