So can anyone explain to me how the hell spies work. I have the game on Steam, and I've played it so many times, but I can never use my spies. They just sit there and don't allow me to move them to different locations or anything.

select a spy via the espionage screen (little spy-shaped button on your upper-right toolbar), then select the place you want to put them (your city, opponent city, city-state)

what point are you having trouble with?

When I select move on the spy screen (ie: where you're supposed to be able to move the spy to a different location), there's nothing listed. So idk if I'm missing something, but that seems like the way it's supposed to happen, but it's not.

I'm playing through my first Single Player game (so long, ugh). Playing Poland and trying to get a culture victory. I'm at 3/5 right now, but the Celts are reallllllly resisting my tourism. I'm also concerned because they seem to have every city state in the game backing them so they might get a diplomatic victory. I'm pretty far on the science track and I think my navy is way better than the AIs right now so I'm tempted to declare war on the Celts and slow them down, but I'm not sure if that would really slow down all my trade benefits or what.

EDIT: This is on King difficulty, islands map (random), and year is like 1900 ish?

If you find games take too long, why not go for the quick option regarding turns for research etc? Although I think it makes tourism even harder.
