newbie player asking questions

I posted in the newbie queue "/in newbie" a couple of days ago and as far as I'm aware I haven't been put into a game, I'm not complaining about the wait time, just wondering if it's typical because maybe I've been put into a game and not realised and I'm just in there afk or maybe my post has slipped through the net and I should post another time.

Next to user control panel it says "0 new messages" and I take it I would have a message if I had been put into a game but maybe I'm wrong
