@Skruffs, my point is more about your playstyle than your personal attributes. I can not make any guesses as to what sort of person you are since I've never met you and I will not choose to make any such guesses.

However from what I've seen of your playstyle so far, this is just how you "roll".

Also to clarify my point on MoS, the reason I am highly suspicious of him at this point is not so much the fact that he has chosen to dilute the power of his vote to meaninglessness by supposedly making it completely random but the fact that he spent so much effort in doing so.

If he had the time to roll 19 die and actually list out each player, why couldn't he have spent that time constructively to actually bring out an attack on someone? I can see random voting as a copout to putting in actual effort, but I don't think I've seen people put
actual effort
(which rolling all those dice would be) into making sure their vote is completely meaningless.

In summary,

Die MoS, Die Suck Die!

Yes MoS,

I'm not saying your scum because of making a random vote.

I am saying you are scum because of the
effort
you've taken to make sure that your vote is seen as completely random.

Why go to that effort unless you have something to hide?
Heck if you had just voted alphabetically it would've taken much less effort, been about as random, and had about the same impact on the game in terms of voting(which is to say pretty much none at all since random votes are kinda worthless and I doubt we'll move into the stage where Condorcet actually plays out on day one)

Skruffs

Tell me what the point of your above post is,

If it's for you to state your position on all players in the game,

then tell me what your "yay thesp" thing means.

What do you like about thesp?

is it his avatar? his nickname? his incomparable sense of strategy? his breathtaking wit? his posts in the game?(specifically which ones?)

When you say "yay thesp" what are you trying to say about thesp?

do you think he's pure awesome?

if so do you believe he's protown?

if you do believe that, why do you believe that?

Are you trying to get into his good graces with a generic contentless message like

"yay thesp"?

There's probably lots more of this fluffy stuff lying around that I haven't attacked people on, but this really jumped out at me when I was reading the last post.

Skruffs, I focussed on the part with Thesp specifically because it seemed to lack content.

@PWS, what makes you think there is no information to be gained from attacking MoS on his actions so far?

Specifically, what do you define as information?

For example I've already learned who is willing to join me on an attack on MoS based on my reasoning so far and who isn't. Why would you classify this as "not information"?

@Thesp, I know he's usually not helpful, but he's also usually doesn't put in effort as well. It's the effort that I'm attacking him for.

@VitR, this isn't Thesp showing up for a game and Skruffs greeting him with "yay thesp!" this is Skruffs saying what he thinks everyone's contributions to the game so far have been and how he feels about them and who he thinks is scum and in hte middle of the list, under the name "Thesp" he's written "Yay Thesp!" which isn't exactly much of an analysis.

I am deeply saddened by the departure of two such awesome players from our game.

However I am excited to be joined on the bandwagon of the evil scumilicious cubs by Talitha.

I greatly encourage others to join as well!

Also Skruffs, the reason I didn't comment on DP's comment is because I don't really have any way of commenting on it since I can't really know whether he has a read on me or not. If I had said something like "you're lying! you have a read on me!" who would take me seriously? Heck what would his motive of not disclosing what his read on me be even?

Currently the wagons are very interesting, a very colorful group on Lee right now.

Agh

Lee trying to be a team player and appealing to emotion like a sissy.

IH putting Lee on his vote while in effect only moving BM up since his vote was already on Lee so he's effectively while putting Lee in his "vote part" actually exonerating Lee by putting BM ahead of him in Condorcet Rankings since he is moving up BM. Looks Hella scummy.(Someone correct me if I'm misinterpreting how these condorcet rankings work)

It almost makes me want to move on Lee.

Sigh.

Rereading again.

A very silly question indeed MgM.

Dantes is the 8th incarnation of Sylios, the first playwright in the modern sense who wrote some of the best comedies of the Hellenic Era(It did help that he was one of the few playwrights who wrote in the genre, most of the rest of them were too busy documenting the wrongdoings of various gods and warlords).

Mith is the current incarnation and shown considerable break from his predecessors by choosing to take the path of a Homo Mathematicus, possibly due to a series of romantic trysts punctuated by high wire governmental espionage for the Russians and the Dutch against the English or vice versa. He was on a shoot on sight list for MI-5 which swept most of the region while placing all paths out of the country on high alert. He famously managed to avoid the dragnet by pretending to be a grad student at Brighton and subsequently infiltrated MI-5 headquarters by seducing the young daughter of the Head of British Intelligence.

After he planted some false evidence that exonerated his name while damnig some other unfortunate characters, MI-5 came under heavy government scrutiny and soon his name was cleared.

My apologies Skruffs, I do believe that I did already answer and address your question.

If you would be so kind as to point out which ones I did not, I'd be happy to answer you.

I feel something's off with Logi's posts and I have minor suspicion towards him.

I don't like it when people say something like they have a tough time getting reads on people.

I feel that not only is it an excuse to be noncommital, but it also alerts the scum as to who is confused about the game so that they know who they don't need to kill. Basically I don't like preemptive excusing their noncomittalness with something not very useful to the town.

Glork

My 2nd line had nothing to do with my first line.

When I said I don't like it when people say they are having a tough time getting a read on people

I was referring to Talitha/Dani.

That's why Logi asked me to clarify and that's why I did clarify on my next post.

If Logi did say something like "i have a tough time reading people in this game" then I would make the same comment regarding him.

Currently that comment is in reference to people who have said something along the lines of "I'm having a tough time reading people in this game"

I'm not saying you need to have a good read on everybody.

I'm saying that you shouldn't say something like that you are having trouble getting a read on people in this game.

People who are having a tough time reading people shouldn't volunteer that information because it can't help the town and can only help the scum.

if you disagree, would you like to at least point out one possible benefit for a protown player to tell everyone that he has "a hard time reading everyone"?

And my point stands on the lists, if the scum are killing by the lists, that makes them trackable.

Also if two players both happen to put a scumbag higher up on their list relatively and one of those players has an actual read and is putting that scumbag up there because of said read and the other player just happens to have the person there randomly, wouldn't the other person saying something like "i'm having a hard time reading people in this game" make the scum more likely to nail the person who actually does have a read on one of them?

Doesn't this help scum prioritize their kills to go after the people who actually are moving in the right direction with their votes while downgrading those who are snowed?

And I hate that I can't tell between poor play from you and scummy play from you because you'd do the same thing if you are town or scum.

way to go Michigan! Though our scores were a little off, our results were correct and that's all that counts.

You're silly Lee, I don't actually take the time to count the words in my posts before I post them, I just keep typing to feel reasonably safe about it being 25 words.

What is wrong with padding my post count? I don't want to be replaced due to the 48 hour average rule and I'm too lazy to actually count how many posts I've made and calculate if I meet it or not.

It's not like I'm disguising the post as content or pretending it is content.

1) I never said it is scummy to NOT share reads/not have reads, I said it was scummy to SAY THAT YOU DO NOT HAVE A READ. There is a HUGE difference.

MegaFOS on Skruffs for mischaracterization of my comments

2) Think about this, if one man fishes people might ignore it, but what happens when right after that 1 person fishes, another person also fishes? Then there is more pressure on the fish! And if someone gets fished out, the 2nd fisherman can blame the 1st fisherman for the fish getting fished out.

Don't tell me that "he answered my question for me" I was starting a line of dialogue with you in order to find out if you ACTUALLY THOUGHT THAT IT WAS OKAY FOR YOU TO FISH JUST BECAUSE HE FISHED FIRST.

Your response was "dunno"

MY POINT IS IF YOU "DUNNO" if its OKAY WHY THE !@#$ DID YOU DO IT? DONT YOU THINK IT MIGHT BE A LITTLE BLOODY SMARTER IF YOU ACTUALLY TOOK THE TIME TO THINK THROUGH YOUR ACTIONS BEFORE YOU COMMITED THEM!?!?!

I am honestly so angry with you.

Him "fishing" was because he believed he was doing it in the best interests of the "town" if he were "town"

You "fishing" in the SAME POST AS YOU CALL HIM SCUMMY FOR FISHING IS JUST MINDBOGGLING BECAUSE YOU DO THE SAME THING YOU CALL HIM OUT ON!!

That's not what I'm saying at all.

Don't put words in my mouth.

Actually try reading what I have typed.

My "why do you think him doing something scummy excuses you to do something similarly scummy?" was the response to your question to me, and when you responded immediately afterwards with not a single sentence justifying your choice to fish afterwards.

1. Skruffs, I think what you need to understand about my posts directed at you is not that I want you lynched for what you did, all I wanted was for you to understand that what you did was bad, and not to do it again.(all i want is for you to think through your actions before you commit them more thoroughly) I have not proposed your lynch though I've had plenty of oppurtunity to do so, I do not feel that you are scum at this point and I'm just trying to get you off your line of inquiry because I feel that with a mith setup, it can not help the town.

2. I don't feel strongly about either IH or MGM being scum for a number of reasons, I don't think IH would've stuck his head out with theorization like that and I don't think MGM would go to the effort of BCing if he were scum.

3. I think the most promising lynch today would be Dani. I feel that her 3rd/4th posts of the game were fairly scummy and I think she's our best option at this point

I have a really bad case of reader's block right now.

What i really want to do is go back and read over a lot of the interactions between Thesp and some others but I feel that i don't have the energy for something like that right now.

Call me a moron, but I believe Tali at this moment.

What caused you to capitalize Xyzzy's name in that instance?

What caused you to capitalize the word lace?

don't play us for fools, it could be easily possible that your poisoning ability is a one shot thing.

You like the word lace? Cite one instance of youu using that word in that context before using it to describe what you would do to Skruffs.

I'm very concerned about this "coincidence"

You're not going to get me to move off this point with some appeal to emotion Lee,

Cite an example of you using that word lace in that context on any website that is timestamped to before your usage of it in this thread and I'll be alot more willing to back off.

I don't know if your ability is one shot, it might be usable on only even days, I'm not going to speculate on that. I just want to see if you've used that word before in that context because I found its usage there.

Really Lee? Scum can't point out helpful things why?

I'm still waiting for that example of you using that word in that context in the past.

I really don't like that last post, randomly throwing out possibilities does not debunk the point that you used the word lace in a suspicious manner that followed with a death of a player.

If you can not come up with a single example of a time when you used lace in that manner, my conclusion will have to be that you had a certain way of triggering a one time kill and you used the other connotation of the word lace in order to try to hide your kill action.

1. What does the secret word have to do with a possible dayaction command?

2. Who cares if you didn't use it day 1? what if anything does that prove?

3. If you use it so consistently, why can't you cite a single example timestamped to before using it in this game?

4. I don't understand the collective urge to let him off the hook so quickly.

5. Yea we know lace has a lot of meanings, so what? the meaning we are interested in is the one that involves lacing somebody's drink with poison.

6. I've honestly never heard lace used in that context before and I found the word choice very strange, Lee, you can alleviate a lot of stress on my part by just citing a single instance of your usage of that word in that context in the past.

7. Stop trying to distract us with completely random stuff that in no way exonerates you after appeal to emotion failed.

Um Lee, that's not even timestamped, how would I know that you hadn't updated it? There's nothing on that page that even says that you haven't updated it.

What I do find curious is that it says on its last time of log in is TODAY.

Why would you log in to a dating site when you're engaged? If you wanted to prove your innocence surely you should've just referred us to this webpage without logging in or searching for yourself on that website without logging in and then giving us the link in order to prove that it wasn't editted recently since that time of last login will show you haven't logged in recently and thus prove that it was indeed enterred in earlier.

I find it hard to believe you use that idiom commonly if you cannot reference a single timestamped post on this forum or any other that would show you used that word in that instance and instead produce this dating thing that could've been changed at any time.

Another thing that I wanted to mention

Everyone dead seems to be listed in the deadcount as what they appear in the linked reference articles to the best of my knowledge(if i missed something, someone point it out please).

Here's the thing, Mercedes in our reference is listed as Mercédès Herrera, Lee claimed

Name: Mercedes.

All dead players so far match directly their name with the name on the reference and mine matches as well.

Read the text of his actual claim.

He wrote it exactly as it appears in our role pms, format and all. why leave out the last name if it's there?

he didn't say "My name is Mercedes"

or I'm Mercedes

He said

"Name: Mercedes"

I find it amazing that it's a phrase you use commonly yet you can't give a single timestamped example.

But you can remember something you supposedly wrote up a very long time ago.

Frankly speaking I don't think the duel means anything considering Cubs didn't even know who he was.

I wasn't convinced it meant nothing till today and I wanted to see if Lee would be alive today.

Think about it, either Cubs was a complete whackjob and was lying through his teeth, or he was lied to by the moderator, or the moderator is screwing with us through some other mechanism since he claimed Count of Monte Cristo and showed up as Kirk Kerkorian.

If he's a complete whackjob and lying through his teeth, we have no reason to believe what he says about the duel.

If he was lied to by the moderator, then we have no reason to believe what happened in the duel or what he said.

If the mod is screwing with us, we have no reason to believe what happened in the duel.

yes talitha, however we have no idea what a "duel" actually does, he says that it is supposed to do this and that, but if the mod lied to him about his identity, what else could the moderator have left out?

Do you believe Kirk Kerkorian is capable of killing a mafia member in a duel?

Why certainly MBL,

1. I don't think Sarc or either of his previous incarnations contributed enough discussion to pin down exactly what his alignment is, however the posts seem to indicate to me that he was a scum who was uncomfortable with making a move since the town was moving in the wrong direction on those days rather than a townie who wanted to move it into the right direction however, this could easily be indifference.

2. I don't think IH is scum because of the theory he posted, I don't think a scum would try to do something like that and stick his neck out.

3. I think Gaspar is scum because of his attitude towards my attack on Lee and because of how hellbent he seems to be on lynching Mr. Grey which I think is pretty stupid and a waste of a lynch since we have no real evidence that Mr. Grey is killing anyone and I don't think Mith would include a serial killer mod in this game.

I totally forgot about your question about starting a starter after 3 days rest.

I think its certainly a gamble that can pay off if the starter is good enough to warrant it, take for example how the Dbacks started Schilling on 3 days rest twice in order to take down the Yankees in the WS02 because Schilling had been dominant.

However I think Torre's decision to start Wang in the series was a bad one because Wang never really got into a groove against the Indians in game 1 and he had never started on 3 days rest before, I think he should've pulled Wang earlier when the sinker wasn't sinking instead of waiting for him to get into so deep of a hole.

like the serial killer from Verbose II, I'd imagine there might be some kind of role like that.

I've waited a long time for Lee to produce a single timestamped instance of him using the word lace in that connotation. Given that he has yet to do it despite his claims that he commonly uses it that way, I have to go with him being scum.

I've made more than enough posts today for you to know what I think about Lee right now.

If you can't read them, that's not on me, it's on you.

I don't know what Lee is, but I believe with a high degree of certainty that he's lying about his usage of the word "lace" and it doesn't make sense for him to be dodgy that way unless he is anti-town.

That's hilarious Lee, because I wasn't voting for you or planning to vote for you UNTIL you opened your mouth and reacted to what I asked for that way.

The MAIN reason I am voting for you is NOT the "amazing coincidence" but rather the fact that you had claimed that your usage of the word LACE was commonplace
LoudMouthLee wrote:I use the term lacing into someone frequently. I capitalized the worst for effect (since I can't BOLD in this game).
Yet you are unable to cite a single timestamped incident of you using the word lace in that context before on this site.

Instead you managed to "remember" this piece of your profile on a dating site that you supposedly put up a while ago and which shows your last login time as the same day as when you posted it.

Look Lee, either you use the word lace that way alot(as you claimed) and can produce a timestamped example OR you don't use the word lace that away often and you were lying through your teeth.

This lynch that I want on you is not about me being right. It's about you lying through your teeth.

I just reread you post again? Nothing you could do would make me change my mind?

Have you read my posts? There is DEFINITELY SOMETHING YOU COULD DO!

STOP DANCING AROUND THE ISSUE WITH MEANINGLESS APPEALS TO EMOTIONS AND CITE A TIMESTAMPED EXAMPLE OF YOU USING THE WORD "LACE" IN THAT CONTEXT.

I have even made it perfectly clear from post ONE when i began my attack EXACTLY what you needed to do to get me off your back and you have done EVERYTHING BUT THAT.

AND NOW TO COME BACK AND SHOOT OFF AT ME FOR "HAVING TO BE RIGHT" AND BEMOANING YOUR SITUATION FOR "Nothing I could say or do will make Pooky change his mind."!.

I am absolutely shocked by that post now that I read it over again, it's one thing that you try to cast me as a fanatic who doesn't look at facts but it's another when you say that you have NO WAY TO GET ME OFF YOUR BACK WHEN I HAVE MADE IT CLEAR FROM POST ONE HOW TO GET ME OFF YOUR BACK.

Oh and just for kicks.

You can't use a google search for "LoudMouthLee and Lace" to get that result.

So he's clearly lying about using google search to find that result.

That's interesting the way you say that CES, it almost sounds resentful.

When you say "you all got lucky" it almost sounds as if you are not including yourself with us.

Do you consider yourself not a part of the town?

If not, are you scum?

If yes, would you consider the town not lucky for lynching the SK?

Sigh Gaspar, that's not the point.

He says specifically that us(as in the people who were responsible for Lee's lynch) are lucky that Lee came up SK, the way he said it made me feel that he thought specifically the people who were responsible for Lee's lynch were lucky.

I'm having a really hard to typing out what I mean when I say that.

Exactly, that statement is WRONG because in the viewpoint of the Mafia, lynching LML is equivalent essentially to a mislynch because it is a lynch of someone that is not mafia.

What I think CES left unsaid was basically , "You guys got lucky LML came up SK,
cuz we would've nailed your asses to the wall if he had come up town
"(at least that is what I feel was his intention from the post)

My point is that it doesn't make any sense because those who lynched Lee are not more likely to be innocent because he came up SK rather than town.

Specifically my point is this, IF LoudMouthLee had come up as "Mercedes, Searching Townie" instead of "Mark Wesson, Mass Murderer", we who have lynched him should not looked any guiltier because in the eyes of the Mafia, Mark Wesson is as much of a mislynch as a Mercedes.

I believe there is a general vaccuum in this game.

The amount of analysis being provided by the players is incredibly lacking for page 4 of a large game.

The general atmosphere seems to be one of apathy.

I find the current mood unacceptable and alarming.

Who wants to win this game?

I'm not sure yet who to vote for.

I feel in my bones that Gaspar is scum but I haven't done enough rereading to be satsified with putting a vote there and I haven't come up with any reason for why I feel so strongly about Gaspar that don't sound terribly silly.

I'm pretty sure I've already posted who I thought was scum.

My thoughts are currently unchanged from what I thought yesterday.

I'd have to be shown some pretty exciting stuff to change my mind.

I'm currently dismayed by how little I know about the thoughts of some other players in this game.

My convictions?

Did you see me want to lynch LoudMouthLee before he went selfdestructo in the game?

Did you even see me propose a lynch of Lee?

P.S give me a good reason why we should hit Mr. Grey for our lynch given that he's yet to make a daykill on day 4.

How often do you think GreyDaySK kills?

Do you believe the rate of the daykills indicates that we are dealing with a daykilling SK moderator?

If so do you believe it is significant enough for us to use a lynch on him?

My whole basis for what? Did you think I wanted him to be lynched at the beginning of my attack on him or not?

Why are you voting Talitha?

I still think Talitha is not scum.

My best reason for that is this post,
Talitha wrote: Pooky is the biggest question mark to me right now. I would love to trust him, but a nagging something is telling me not to. I think it started when LML fingered Pooky as scum... my first reaction was 'Durrr... of COURSE Pooky's scum. WHY didn't i suspect him earlier!' Then i realised that Lee was very likely lying and therefore there was probably no cop result on pooky. But ever since then the unexplained epiphany of that moment has gnawed at me.
I really don't think ScumTali would've come up with a fake epiphany. Color me easy to fool but her remarks seem geniune enough to make me doubt that she would be scum.

Very annoyed with the NL, wondering what I have to do to kickstart this game.

You guys are fools if you think I am going to let this coincidence slide...

2 of you just happen to fly into Atlanta on the same night?

On a more serious note, I do agree with Gaspar about the necessity of a counterclaim if one is out there.

CCs are somewhat worthless at LyLo.

examine closely Thesp's posts and Thesp's condorcet lists.

analyze them given the information we have right now and come up with some probability spreads for where scum fall in hsi condorcet lists.

We have 8 more days to get something done.

I don't want to be known as being part of a town that didn't put up at least a fight before going down.

Let's please at least kill somebody.

I think Zindaras, Gaspar, and either DP or Foolinc are scum.

I feel strongest now about Zindie after a reread.

Frankly he just doesn't seem to care, but that's the vibe I'm picking off a lot of folks except Zindie feels worse because he comes up with more excuses than ya'all.

So yea I wanna kill Zindie right now.

If you don't know who you want to kill, please just please read the thread and figure it out.

If you can't at least put your vote with mine cuz we got a better shot going down shooting than going down with a whimper.

I'm not going to put together some condorcet list cuz I'm sick of this condorcet crap and I still don't know how it works that well and I don't want the mafia to manipulate it in some way I can't detect to get NL.

vote Zindaras

You want to do the assignment too foolinc?

you don't seem to be busy with anything at the moment other than tossing around vague suspicions and not really doing much of anything.

Commit to something

Believe Something.

Do Something.

Care about something.

It's getting pretty close to LyLo wouldn't you say tally?

in fact we're exactly 1 day away from LyLo if we mislynch today,

which is why today should be the day where people begin attacking, cops begin claiming results because a cop claim at LyLo has as much chance to fly as a grounded potato and because counterclaiming at LyLo is a viable scum gambit.

Basically the game goes from town adv on claims to town disadv at LyLo tommorrow if we mislynch today.

And when faced with this, it seems most of the town is content with doing nothing.

Can you really be upset at me for being worried about our current situation?

What are you talking about Tally? When I listed the people that I was suspicious of, I listed them in order of how strongly I felt about them being scum, I do think we are 1 day from LyLo and that's why my vote is on Zindie and not Foolinc. I have no idea what you think I am trying to "side-step" but when I put up a list of suspicion, I will plant my vote on the top suspect on my list.

What do you want me to address about Foolinc? It's so close to LyLo that any doctor counterclaims should've happened by now, so in the absence of them I'm somewhat forced to give him the benefit of the doubt over the others that I feel strongly are scum.

Oh now I see what you're saying, that thing about Foolinc being recruited into a 4 group. I wouldn't think that is very likely because I haven't seen mith use a group of 5 in any of his large theme games, the largest he's ever used is a group of 4, in Verbose II he had a group of 3 and a traitor.

Basically I don't think lynching Foolinc on the premises you've pointed out which I feel are very shaky to begin with.

Look Zindaras, I know you are a good player, I know this because I've played enough wtih you to form that opinion of you.

Now it's 2 days before deadline on the day b4 LyLo and you seem to have decided that it's not important for you to actually have any strong opinions on who is scum.

I would expect ZindieTown to have at least SOME idea of who he thinks is scum and posted at least once today about who he thinks is scum and pushing for that person's lynch.

Basically the ship is sinking and I don't think Zindie cares.

I can't believe that ZindieTown would let the ship sink idly.

I can understand someone lurking through day 1, day 2, or day 3 or just not giving a shit.

But this is a game where we are 1 day from LYLO and we have PRESET DEADLINES THAT ARE MUCH SHORTER THAN HIS OTHER GAMES.

You can't make the comparison!
