I thought that MS' "BTOOM" thing was a dayvig of sorts. Was wondering how Ascetic relates to the % mechanic, since according to OP there are no standard kills.

OK, a few thoughts on the last few pages that I kinda skimmed.

Tails has huge congimation bias against me for not likeing my opening I think. I would normally give then a town read for this but the fact that they want to lynch me asap is really bad to do as town.

I think Ms is just voting me because they hold a grudge against me which is not really alignment indicative, but shows they are bordering on not playing to their win con.

I like GL's response the best. he's not advocating a fast lynch with is good. He's also going over the facts that the other two fail to recognize.

As far as my vote on MM is concerned, I voted them because I didn't like them buddying me and that is really the only reason.

3rd reason sounds like you think he's opportunistic, but that's basically your first reason. Point out to me multiple instances of him being opportunistic than maybe that'll support what you're saying.

That's not what I'm saying. I'm saying he started setting up suspicion on everyone. It gave him multiple outs. And I'm not going to quote 2 entire pages. If you want it, you can easily pull up his ISO and see him suspect nearly every player in this game in a short amount of time. That's extreme for even the most paranoid town player.

I don't like Lion continuing to push the Lickity-jester angle. I didn't like it when Lickity even suggested that, and I find that jester theories/defenses tend to come from scum. Lion's also one of the people pushing both "everyone on the Lickity wagon is scummy" and "Alive shouldn't be townread".

Okay, my thing with Lickety is do you really feel like scum is gonna be saying trolly stuff like 81, 106, 190, 239, etc? I get that 'so reckless that scum wouldn't do it' isn't a compelling argument for towniness, but I don't think there's much there that's significantly scum-indicative either. I thought 219 by Tails was a particularly weak case because point 1 seems to imply he's scum for limiting his scumreads and then point 3 implies he is scum for casting suspicion on a wide number of people.

Plus it's not like the things LQ is actually doing have anti-town motivation to them, and there's several posts in his ISO where he makes insightful pushes or asks useful directed questions.

Regardless, he's chosen to introduce the WIFOM of "is this guy actually town or not?" at a few points in his play, which is why I wouldn't shed a tear if he got vigged. Eventually town will have to deal with him, but I don't think he's gonna make a useful D1 lynch and I think pushing him is basically the easiest thing one can do at the moment.

I'm not really sure what to think about LQ and GL. I'm troubled by GL's defending of LQ in his 387, even though GL isn't saying LQ is town, he also isn't saying he is scum, but it still is a fairly defensive post overall regarding LQ and that doesn't work with his prior attitude towards him (which was rather critical, as if he was scumreading LQ)
LQ looks scummy to me, but I don't think the 2 are scum together (I believe I read this somewhere already as well, don't remember who said it, Davsto?) Is it possible we're in a multiball?

Sleepwalker is a role I haven't heard of in a long time. Miller-sleepwalker sounds pretty believable actually, although it's an odd combo.

1.) He's hedging his bets. (MS or GL? Seriously? You couldn't just say you had 4 scumreads? You had to limit the amount you had? Seems fake.)
2.) He's fishing and only focused on roles and mechanics. No scumhunting from him whatsoever. This is metagaming at its finest. It's filler.

None of these posts are making waves at all. They are all very safe given what was happening in the thread at the time. With the lurking on top of it it really is not hard to do as Scum. I think its pretty standard for Scum to follow the general consensus on things to make it look like they are taking stances on stuff, but are really just keeping out of trouble to not arouse suspicion.

I don't know about the Genda push, Lick. It's good to see that you're actually scum hunting right now, but ennnnhhhhhh... it's in the wrong place, and it's a bit out of the blue. Plus it looks a bit like omgus considering they voted recently, also, looking at your response to their vote, why did you just brush them off only to come back and vote them? Who does that?
Quick note: Miller-sleepwalker claim makes the mod look like a sadist. Lets say every night, just for spec, Gendra visits a person who dies. She appears guilty from investigations, and she'd be seen at the spot of the crime. Now that's a bastard role if I ever saw one. Considering this is a bastard game, I'm slightly inclined to believe her.
Considering all this, your push on her has reasons, but I don't think they're really good ones. You do look scummy for it, but not overly scummy.

I think this ISO is pretty bad. Apart from calling smiffle's first vote awful, he hasn't done anything to scumhunt at all despite having a decent number of posts. He seems more preoccupied with setup/role speculation then actually catching scum.

I don't like the accusatory tone of this question like you already have a lock on me that I am Scum. I don't see how what I did changing a read is any means for scum motivation. I don't like that you are telling me I have to hurry up and produce stuff. I've contributed plenty and it takes a while for stuff to ferment to the point where stuff can actually be solved. I'm not good as solving stuff logically, but I do try to set up psychological tell that I am working on trying to interpret and that takes time. We need to get rid of Nana today. Her flip could fill in some gaps in the setup of the many not filled by my Role PM, and that applies for all of us, I'd think.

1.) Ms and GL both looked scummy to me on a first go through of the thread. I was thinking at the time that there's no way these two are scum together. I've changed my reads since then, sue me.

Did anyone else find Xtom's defense of Genda suspicious? I thought it was kind of weird how he was defending him without even having seen his claim, and then defended him even more when he had.
Maybe I'm just paranoid, I had pretty much no problem with Xt until that point.

Where was he defending him pre-noticing-the-claim? He said he thought Genda's posts weren't that bad but he'd be okay with joining a wagon on any lurker (524). Then he said he preferred his Wanderer push but reaffirmed that if there was interest in a Genda wagon he'd go for it (526). Neither of that looks like defense to me, and I find it weird that LQ is awarding "big town points" for that.

It was weird. Sometimes you have read between the line a little bit. I didn't see anyone asking about the claim except me, and Xt was definitely around during that time. When I said its a PL if the claim is fake is when Xt got all hot and bothered and stopped posting. I only know claiming miller is a PL because it was a role that was in my first started game on this forum and that was the general consensus. It turns out the claim was real in that game and they died an early death for being confirmed Town.

I still want to know what the whole claim is which was quickly brushed off as a not issue. The claim is weird, Xt's reaction to it was weird, its just a bunch of weird. I like Smiffles response; it seems genuine and very townie-mind-setty to me. Ask yourself if it makes sense for Smiffle to really give me a town read as Scum here after I very well could have had my lynch pushed much more instead of Glenda. I mean really, there's enough ammunition for Smiffle to make a pretty good case for rolefishing there and we just don't see that from them.

My stance on the claim is that it will likely sort itself out if it is true or not, but I still want a full claim so we know exactly what to expect.

TL;DR: So what Smiffle has effectively done is say I am Town while questioning a really weird claim. I just don't think Scum would do that.
