I'd say wait until after 1.9. The End is getting an update, and there's something that we can get to respawn Ender Dragons.

I was just suggesting you ( aphix) put down a sign at the stopping point so that maybe whoever did it would know that it was unpowered to be a stop at your home. Was trying to offer a possible solution, thats all.
