the permanent types in graveyard bit is likely easier than it seems if they are making it a set mechanic.

I will definitely be at detroit. It's looking less and less likely I'll be at DC (teammate backed out)

Me and my brother need a third since ours backed out... (assuming you play better than Grant because he was a nice guy but not exactly a standout at the Magics).

FTFY.

Meanwhile, I was on Temur Company and made the semis of top 8. Lost to Temur Devoid Assault Formation.

So we're two teams of two without a third? lol.

I'm going to see if I can find a third for the teammate I ever have first and then if I can't I'll hit you back.

Sad I literally just re-picked up my wastelands and my forces, but this is AWESOME for legacy as a whole, which is way more important to me than my personal value.

Fair enough, I'm still searching the Columbus scene but I've already contacted most players I'd be interested in playing with from here with no luck.

Super sick, I'd love to get into legacy properly. I appreciate that the new force of will art is also by Terese Nielsen.

I am a little bit skeptical that this will make legacy affordable for most players on, say, a modern budget.

The big elephant in the room is the duals. If they don't dissolve the reserved list and reprint them likely any lowered cost of staples like forces and wastelands will lead to increased cost of the format in the form of higher demand for duals.

:/

It's shitty, but this is the position wizards has put us in.

I'm excited to draft it. If it's anything like VMA was on MTGO, it'll be a ton of fun.

I don't have issues with budget, tbh. It's just motivation to actually go and build a deck, find a playgroup or w/e, you know?

I liked VMA for a couple drafts, but Madness and Goblins were a bit too oppressive for any longer than that.

I agree. I'm excited to pick up Wastelands(and Karakas and Rishadan Port?). I'm just very concerned about new people actually being able to get into the format. It's why I'm thinking there might be a new format to replace Legacy which just bans the Legacy banned list as well as anything on the Reserved List. Now that they're showing support for older formats, the Reserved List is a clear handicap to play as opposed to just another obstacle.

Honestly, you're not the first person I've seen say that. "Eternal" as a format name seems to be a rumour gaining traction (and a reason for me to finish my playsets of Shocklands before those spike hard on this rumour)

The main reason that I don't know why Wizards would show support for a format which is built around cards they can't reprint.
