Pure vanilla townie

For all intents and purposes, you are a vanilla townie, except you have protection from abilities which will permanently alter your role in any way.
This includes (but is not limited to):
- You can not gain any permanent abilities through any means.
- You can not gain any modifiers through any means.
- You can not (further) be vanillaised (i.e. you can not lose this protection).
- You can not be recruited.
- You can not be turned into a treestump.
- You can not re-roll your role through any means.
In short, any abilities that would make you anything else than a
pure vanilla townie
, will fail to work. You can however, be the receiver of temporary effects.

This won't result in an draw, instead, when normally the game would end (like when mafia matches or outnumbers town), the game continues, until the

Choose your archnemesis (or don't, if you'd rather be vanilla).
In this game, and
every
future grand idea mafia game you play together, both you and your chosen archnemesis will get a 1-shot gladiator ability, which can only involve you two. This is in addition to the actual role both of you get in future games.
Edit:
your chosen archnemesis must accept you as his or her archnemesis as well. If he or she doesn't, you can choose someone else.

Choose a player to attach yourself to. You can change your target at any time and as often as you like. You may choose to unattach yourself and target no one.
On night 3, you die along with your target.

Comment

Nothing (special) happens when you or your target are killed or lynched before night 3. If your target dies, you may choose another.

Mafia 2-shot mimic

Target a player to mimic: you will take over the characteristics of this player for the purpose of investigation reports. This includes your target's alignment and action. The action will have no real effect, but will also share the same characteristics as your target's action.

Comment

For example, you mimic a town cop targeting Sméagol. A tracker who targets you will get a report you targeted Sméagol (not the town cop). A rolecop targeting you will get a report that you are a cop (not a mimic). Another cop targeting you will get a report that you are town. A follower targeting you will get a report that you performed an investigative ability (instead of miscellaneous). You will not get a report, however.

Target a player to suck their blood. If you target a player twice on successive nights, they die.
You need blood to survive. If you miss more than 1 succesful action, you die.

Your wincondition is to survive until endgame.

Comment

Can miss an action, or be roleblocked, once. If roleblocked twice, or failing to send in an action twice, the player will die.

Really want to give it flying though.

[4] 50%: your target gets a random 1-shot ability that is

When an absolute majority has been reached for your lynch, instead you will suicide (and flip), but the day continues as normal, with the vote count reset (and deadline extended at mod's discretion).

If more factions exist in the game, add those to the rotation. Single player factions don't count for this purpose. You don't inherit factional abilities, and you don't get to know your teammates.

In addition to being a tracker, you have protection from abilities which will permanently alter your role in any way.

Comment

This includes (but is not limited to):
- You can not gain any permanent abilities through any means.
- You can not gain any modifiers through any means.

- You can not re-roll your role through any means.
In short, any abilities that would make you anything else than a

Multi-baller

If there already are multiple non-town factions, you join the smallest one. If there's already a player in that faction with a non-vanilla role, you are vanilla. If all players in that faction are vanilla, roll a new role appropriate for that alignment.
If there are no multiple factions, you and a random non-town player will form a new mafia team. If that player is non-vanilla, you are vanilla. If that player is vanilla, roll a mafia role.

Resurrected spirit
(alignment up to mod's discretion)
You start the game dead. You will have access to the dead thread from the beginning.
Every day, the living players may vote to resurrect you. At any point after an absolute majority has been reached, you may enter the gamethread. You don't have to enter the gamethread right away. You will lose assess to the dead thread when you do. You may only be resurrected once during the game.

Forced resurrection
: if you're not confident you're getting resurrected, or if you are impatient, you may resurrect yourself. The cost of this is that you'll automatically die again after one complete day- and night cycle (day + night or night + day).

Comment

Obviously, don't allow spoilers in the dead thread, and make it clear to other dead players the resurrected spirit has access.

After your death, you're allowed to make 1 vote each dayphase. This must be done privately by PM. You don't have access to the dead thread. Absolute majority takes you into account.

Players may use a kill ability in order to stop you from voting for good, at which point you will gain access to the dead thread.

Town 2-shot shotgun-wielding vigilante

There's 75% chance you will kill your target.
For each player involved with your target besides you (the players who are targeted by your target, or the players who are targeting your target) there's 100% / (x+1) chance you will kill that player. x = the total number of players involved with your target besides you.

Comment

For example, your target is targeting another player, but isn't targeted himself except by you. There's a 100 / (1+1) = 50% chance you will kill that other player, and 75% chance you will kill your target.

Judged by the dead
(alignment up to mod's discretion)
You can't be voted for by living players. Instead, the dead players may vote in the deadthread in order to lynch you. This is announced at the start of the game. This requires an absolute majority of all the dead players (so with 3 players dead, two need to vote for you to lynch you). There needs to be at least 3 dead players before you can be lynched.

The votes from the dead show up in the vote count as usual (perhaps with a different colour to distinguish them). Apart from the dead voting, lynches happen as usual, so if there's an absolute majority for your lynch before anyone else, you'll be lynched and the day ends.

If any player has any inherent abilities that work while the player is dead, you can target that player to disable those abilities. You may do this while the player is alive, or when the player is dead. However, if you target a living player without any inherent dead abilities, your ability will fail, but you will use your shot.

All roles that are mafia beyond the 2 alotted ones, or third party, are re-rolled until you roll a town role for that slot pre-game. In case there's only one mafia member rolled, re-roll another random town slot to a mafia role.
As such, if you have this role, you know that there are 2 mafia members, and no 3rd parties.

Make it 10-3 for a mini, and whatever's usual for a large.

You are a permanent commuter (you can't be targeted by anything, with one exception, see below).
You can not talk or vote directly in the game thread (or any PTs), instead, mission command (a.k.a. the mod) must relay messages (and votes) for you.
When you're lynched, you will be killed at the end of the night as opposed at the end of the day, as town needs to send a missile to take out your rocketship, and this takes a while.
You'll never be able to use any active targeted abilities.
Exceptions to the commuter protection are abilities that enable communication (for example, a neighbourizer). You will be able gain access to PTs, but the same restriction applies: you can not talk in them directly, only through the mod.

Mafia 1-shot innocent child.. disabler

At any point during the game, you may target a player.
If that player is an unannounced innocent child, that player turns into a vanilla townie.
If the player isn't an innocent child, or is already announced as such, this ability will do nothing.
If the player has a role with multiple abilties, with one of those being an innocent child-like ability, and that player has not been announced as town yet, you prevent the announcement from being activated or triggered. It won't affect the other abilities or the role in itself.

Once during the game, at any point during the day, you may decide the votes for all players (previous votes will be dismissed). You can't have an absolute majority vote for a player this way.
You, and anyone who you share a private topic with (..or any other form of communication besides the gamethread), can't vote for 2 hours. Any vote in the post directly after the resulting vote count, won't count, but unvotes are ok.

While you're alive, players only have 12 hours to send in actions after the night has started, regardless of the actual deadline. This will be publicly announced.
At any point during the game you may turn this passive ability on or off.

Choose any of the following "blocks" to construct your role. If you don't choose the [mafia] block, you're town. If you don't choose anything, you're town vanilla. The 1-shot in the [bulletproof - 1-shot] block, doesn't apply to bulletproof, but rather to potential other blocks.
Any parts in the end result (or all of it) that don't make sense, are disregarded.

Mafia voters roleblocker

While you're alive, you will automatically roleblock everyone who has a vote active at the end of the day, with the exception of factional abilities. This ability will not trigger if you yourself have cast a vote.

Neutral paradox hunter

You have the same win condition as town, but in addition, you have the following alternative win condition:
If an ability interaction causes a paradox, you win, and leave the game. You may also decide how the paradox should be resolved.

I made most roles "up to mod's discretion" to help out with balance problems, obviously, plus claiming problems. Mods can decide which faction they need more of, instead of re-rolling immediately.

Town vengeful winner announcer

On death, you may (optionally) declare target player a winner, who will leave the game. That player will count as a winner of the game, regardless of the actual outcome.

You find out the target of target player. Instead of at the end of the night, you find as soon as possible. You will also be informed of any changes made.

In addition, you may send a message to another player through the mod (limited to one each night). This will also be delivered as soon as possible, instead of at the end of the night.
