As long as your alive, the mod will publicly announce when someone has his or her role re-rolled (not what the role is, what the old role was, or what caused it).
This includes pre-game re-rolls, the day 1 write-up will include the total number of re-rolls for all players.

Multi-baller

If there already are multiple non-town factions, you join the smallest one. If there's already a player in that faction with a non-vanilla role, you are vanilla. If all players in that faction are vanilla, roll a new role appropriate for that alignment.
If there are no multiple factions, you and a random non-town player will form a new mafia team. If that player is non-vanilla, you are vanilla. If that player is vanilla, roll a mafia role.
