I have 2 concerns with Crystal Maiden...

1. It says that Crystal Nova will make it's target cold. So what's the effect of being cold?

2. How Freezing Field work in practice? To be precise, how do we make the game anonymous?

2. I will make an alt account for anon posting , people will send what they want to post through pming that alt acc and a mod will mirror them in game thread (and sending the real identities to real Crystal maiden). Same goes For Crystal maiden.

1. Do you know that this is useless if the pick method is single draft because they can eliminate from the banned list and know 100% sure that Crystal maiden is in the game by process of elimination?

Notes

Arcane Area will start effecting starting of the next cycle (for example if you learn it after lynching X during day 2 it will start effecting starting day 3 and if you spark it at game start it starts working starting day 1)

The no player name post restriction of Freezing field will effect vote counts as well making them look like "Anonymous (5) : Anonymous , Anonymous , Anonymous". Crystal Maiden will receive all the posts in the correct format.

If she dies the effect of Freezing Field will end.

Notifications and Feedbacks

After casting Crystal Nova on someone they will receive a feedback : "You felt cold; Someone was whispering [your message]"

If Arcane Area is activated all your teammates will receive a feedback each day : "You may perform an extra action during this cycle."

After casting Freezing Field this public notification will be posted :

The game is under heavy snow! You may continue posting by sending them as a private message to [alt account name]. Mod will mirror them after filtering the player names inside it. "Crystal Maiden" will receive the full messages version.

This effect will end in [48 hours/dead end deadline]

Notes

Berserker's Call is a bounding ability which means the effects of it will remove if axe dies.

Culling blade will cancel any twilight passive abilities beside the ones that make the lynched target to live again.

After casting Berserker's Call on someone they will receive this feedback : "You need one less vote to get lynched."
If Berserker's Call effect end they will receive this feedback : "The effect causing you to need one less vote to get lynched has ended."

While a Battle hunger is on someone they will receive a feedback each cycle : "Something is stopping you from performing any actions."

Guys please discuss a way for implementing Captain's mode in picking methods

in dota each team will choose a captain , then two captains will start picking banning in a specified order, then their team mates will pick the hero they want from Captain's choice.

Is there a way for implementing that without hurting the mafia concept of the game ?

I like it to be there as its a very important concept in Dota 2 but I don't want to hurt game. There must be a way for implementing that without making someone know everything or all their teammates roles.

I was thinking about lending two mentor-like outside of the game captains to do the job and giving them a Honorary win if the most endgamers are from their team

Hold on a second. I know you want to make this as Dota as possible, but you understand you have to cut the line somewhere right? That outside mentor is way out of the game. Keep that in your mind.

Try this:
Everyone knows their own role except the captain.

Ban one by one, then captain's choice then the other non-captain will sent a priority list of the role they want. Resolve using the priority list. Captain takes whatever left. It saves a lot of time in the second part.

oh god ! I just got an idea! randomly assign each ban or pick to a member in a team asking them in order to pick/ban!

It has no Captain but thats ok!

I will give each player a number as well and they will choose ban and picks in order. to picking they need to send me 3 choices and I will assign one of them to them without saying the others are picked already or not.

But I just realized if someone picks 3 heroes that are already picked it will screw it up

Actually no, we can't. If someone ban a role that is picked then you are screwed. Instead of the confusing 4x Ban-4x Pick-2x Ban-and shalala, can we just have 10x ban-10 x pick. Who ban first will pick last.

New Picking mode : Random Draft
At start 30 heroes (for a 10 player game) or 60 heroes (for a 20 player game) will be announced randomly . All other heroes are banned automatically. the rest is a simple Upick mode.

All pick is now changed to
A random priority list will be generated at start . First giving each player half an hour, they may ban a hero in their turn or a random hero will be banned . After that each player may send their pick lists (no limits), Mod will start from the last person in the priority list to the first one , assigning the first available heroes they requested (or assigning a random hero if all of them are already taken).

Notes

An Epicenter can't cancel the actions casted in past but not reviewed by mod yet. for example it can't stop a day vig but it will remove all the pre casted votes on slots and cancel all the abilities.

If Caustic Finale get activated you will receive a feedback like "[Player(s)] visited your target last night."

If an active ability with uncasting notification get uncasted , that player will receive the uncasting notify : "The effect [Effect] has ended."

If someone get lynched during the day you casted Epicenter as not town , people will see something like :
