I already did read.
I legitimately thought I was replacing into a scum slot and was sad when my role pm said town
Phoneposting right now and probably will be for the rest of today, but tommy looks like scum to me. Vote on my slot looks like an excuse to avoid engagement and so do his posts tbh. (Though his posts seem towny on the surface, this doesn't mean much)
Alpaca is noob town I think (directly saying "this is scummy so I won't do it" reads like noob town posting), Zach jar jar trivium and inspector are all town too I'm pretty sure
What's up transcend you're town right

Quote wall incoming
I just wanted to say I noticed this too and keeping my eyr on transcend, his whole attitude seems town thoIn post 1197, Zachstralkita wrote:Transcend, the biggest fucking problem I have with you is that scum can vote your scumread and probably be cleared in your eyes for it.
I don't know about detailed info but here's what I gotIn post 1206, Trivium wrote:And I don't like how Tommy seemed to be gone for most of these conversations, just slipping by at the most opportune points. I scumread Tommy, but I also reaally scumread transcend, so yet again I'm not even sure anymore. I need some detailed info on what infinity thinks of inspector.
My first inspector is pretty town cause he's committing a known scumtell, waffling, in a way that seems natural. "ehh this guy could be scum" is not something I see scum actually do a lot.
His outburst on you three made him pretty obvtown in my eyes, scum don't say ridiculous shit for no reason. Plus the frustration seemed genuine.
I like this idea, also tommy is hiding while pretending to contributeIn post 1209, Zachstralkita wrote:or i could take the tinfoil hat angle and say that.... if me, trivium, and jarjar are town (which I am quite sure of), scout is town, and transcend /kush slot is town, then scum would have to try and blend in amidst this confusion and work off of it while not being noticeable enough to draw attention away from the main wagon, though not necessarily having to be ON it and possibly arguing against the would be ML (for towncred)
Inspector is town and I think jarjar is too
This is a towny like but fakeableI forgive you. I deliberately took my vote off my biggest scum-read and stuck it on a wagon with momentum. That's what opportunistic scum would do. I also happen to think it was a pro-town play.
Also I disagree that it was pro-town cause scout was obviously feeling the pressure already
Bold move! I applaud you. If Transcend is also scum, then the love fest is equally brazen. I kind of hope so, because it would be a spectacular set of moves to discuss after the game.In post 1173, Infinity 324 wrote:I legitimately thought I was replacing into a scum slot and was sad when my role pm said town
This doesn't follow, though:
You've just said you read Kush as scum. How then can my Kush vote look like an excuse to avoid engagement?[/quote]tommy looks like scum to me. Vote on my slot looks like an excuse to avoid engagement
I mean it makes sense, I agreed with the vote, it's just that you seem to be using it to produce content while not actually trying to find who scum are
Basically all your posts, you ask questions and mqake comments that don't seem to be getting anywhere in terms of either finding scum or convincing people to vote the way you are, imo
Can you give an example of a post that seems towny on the surface, but beneath the surface looks like an excuse to avoid engagement?so do his posts tbh. (Though his posts seem towny on the surface, this doesn't mean much)
This is the kind of attitude I'm talking about. You're not being proactive, you're not scumhunting, you're not pushing for lynches, you're just commenting on what you see and asking question which don't seem to be getting anywhere.Ask me anything and I'll comment or explain as best I can. You're my top town-read, so I will be accommodating.- Infinity 324

I also don't get the case on scout whatsoever, he made a contradiction that wasn't even a contradiction, then you guys all switched your votes to him
Making contradictions isn't even a scumtell
PEdit: 1. Idk it's just what it looks like to me, you seem to be pressuring who you think is scum and convincing people to vote them, tommy doesn't
2. thought, past tense
I read the thread before I got my role pm and at the time I agreed with the vote- Infinity 324

Honestly I have a townread on everyone except for tommy at this point, but that's can't be true so I'm gonna have to figure some stuff out
transcend, rask, and jarjar are some of my weaker townreads atm just in terms of attitude and other things I've noticed so far
PEdit: I don't have very good reasons for most of them, if there's a specific one you want me to explain ask. At some point I'm gonna have to do a reread and look for specific things, especially after we have a scum flip- Infinity 324

Explain my townread, Lowell's townread, Trivium's townread
and also why Transcend is a " weak " townread to you, in depth please
You're town because you're constantly pressuring your scumreads and asking questions like these ones which seem to be driven by an effort to read people
Lowell is town because I thought the wagon on him was for things that are "too scummy to be scum" and more of a personality tell than anything, he started to post better under pressure (though now that I think about it that may be a bad sign)
Trivium is town cause he's just throwing out his opinions and being aggressive and stuff
Most of transcend's posting and attitude has looked towny to me so far (I actually scum read him at first cause of his odd style) but it's only a weak townread cause I feel like our interaction might be more likely to come from scum. Not sure about that though
I'll do a reread when I get time and post more in-depth explanations

"Man, my slot is so F'n scummy. Tommy is scum for voting my slot"way he did itwas scummy because there were no other really engaging remarks in his post. Town shouldn't be (and usually isn't) afraid to get their hands dirty, and tommy seems exactly that.

Having scumreads doesn't mean you're scumhunting
I am scum-hunting: my scum reads right now are you, inspectorscout, Transcend and AlpacaAlpaca; my town reads are Trivium and Zach. I am pushing for your lynch. Not getting anywhere, I'll give you that. But that kind of reassures me: it's harder to lynch scum than to lynch townIn post 1223, Infinity 324 wrote:You're not being proactive, you're not scumhunting, you're not pushing for lynches, you're just commenting on what you see and asking question which don't seem to be getting anywhere.
Like, you've done almost nothing this game that's meant to determine someone's alignment. That's a problem.
It wasn't even opportunistic cause there were no other votes on him at the time lolTalking of which, has anyone noticed how my 'opportunistic' push on Kush after he quick-hammered our bulletproof led to exactly no votes besides mine? Do we not think that if Kush was town, some other opportunistic types might have joined in?
It was just like "look at me I scumhunting and doing stuff" when really you're not.
Lol I'm dumb didn't even know he was talking about something I would've gotten in a role pmLoving the 'forest' schtick. Dude, you should have just gone with a single, confident 'no'. The vanilla PM was in Creature's first post.
I thought he would know that flavor isn't allowed in role pms
wagon on me is pretty weak reasoning but I don't think it's scum driven
PEdit: It's not me it's you transcend. In a bad way.
PEdit 2: Towny actions can easily be faked and his words have been towny the whole game really

Paranoia is hard to fake imo and you guys both did it in natural places.
Is the wagon on me seriously cause you guys don't understand my reads? It would've been laughably easy for me-scum to come in and make a pretty wallpost that summarized the last 50 pages and it would probably just get me townread by a lot of people tbh. But I actually decided to come in and interact with people so I can determine their alignment.
Not saying that makes me town cause that would be wifom of course but it certainly doesn't make me scum.
PEdit: Well this post is a start.
Engaging people in mafia is kind of a hard thing to explain, but essentially I've never seen you get into an extended conversation with anyone except for now. zach/dunn on d1 is a good example, so is me/transcend when I replaced in- Infinity 324

Yep, I just told you why you did something.
Gimme a break it's my first day in the game and I've been taking a lot of heat
It's also easy to interact with everyone to try and look town, what have you been doing that benefits the town as opposed to creating a bunch of " well maybe this could be true maybe that could be true"?Infinity 324 wrote: It's easy to look town if you don't engage with people, that's why tommy is doing it

Tommy and I are basically driving your wagon. He STARTED your wagon. Tommy is the closest thing you have to a scumread this game. He's got one hand on the fucking wheel. But not scum driven?
you guys actually seem like you believed it, tommy's trying to make himself look useful.

Bacde, fancy a bandwagon? AlpacaAlpaca, chance to vindicate yourself? JarJar, I assume you still want Scout dead more than Infinity's slot?
That's the difference between a scum push and a town push.

In post 575, Creature wrote:Ok so we have the speed shotty wagon which literally went from 2 votes to a lynch in 1 day. There's probably scum on it.
I suspect dunn and alpaca the least because they were voting shotty for a while. My slot is town, shotty is town obv, and lowell's posts look genuine plus his personality is disposed to speedwagons anyway.
That would mean one or both of {rask, tommy} is scum
Next up at the start of d2 it takes a long time to get a wagon going. It's possible that scum just weren't voting, but given the absence of my slot and the amount of conflict going on in the thread it would makes sense that it would take a while.
Then we have the lowell wagon. It took a while to start up but as bacde mentioned a while ago, it took roughly 2 seconds to die down. (Though everyone who hopped off hopped onto the scout wagon, no one returned to lowell after so it's still suspicious).
So then we have one of {trivium, jarjar, zach} is likely scum, I think jarjar is the most likely of the three.
Scout wagon, not much more to mention here except tommy's opportunistic vote.
I'm headed to dinner now, should have the readwall by tonight or tomorrow. Pls don't lynch me thx- Infinity 324

Fuck a readwall I'm just gonna post some thoughts as I go.
I like listening to dead people so here's what I got.
Dunn thought alpaca, trivium, and were scum EoD1 and he was least sure of alpaca.
Everyone was writing off trivium as the VI, and so was I until now. But take a look at these quotes
Spoiler: is this the VI?
This is way too smart to be the VI, and it puts me on edge.
His jump onto raskol after dunn took his vote off seems opportunistic, like he doesn't want to miss his chance to jump on a wagon. He didn't even note that dunn had unvoted in that post.
Again, votes dunn when there's a wagon starting on him
Post 542, keeping his options open
Grills drmyshotty without voting, it is a coincidence that that's the only wagon that went to lynch?
Jumps on scout wagon twice.
Usually when town says these type of things they don't change their mind, yet you don't see trivium tunnelling alpaca do you now
His reads are too confident for him to keep flip-flopping on them, and he's too smart for this to just be VIness. Something's gotta give.In post 372, Trivium wrote:Yeeaaah Blueyoshi is 100% scum, burn me at the stake if he isn't.
So if we somehow get a flash wagon on trivium, basically I'm saying it has my full support.

The point I'm trying to get at but didn't finish is why would scum kill someone who's right on none of their scumreads. WIFOM doesn't make sense cause I'm the only person that does this anyway.- Infinity 324

What if I said trivium was buddying you zach
I didn't read enough to know if this is the case but does it make sense to you
PEdit: Yeah but he was a town leader and if he kept leading town in the wrong direction then scum could just win off that

@Trivium if you're somehow town instead of whining about how it's impossible to defend against that case I want you to give me a detailed read on Zach, myself, and tommy please.

As I said before I don't like tone as a tell. I've seen a lot of scums with towny tones and a lot of towns with scummy tones.
I don't really see paranoid and stubborn going together. That's part of why I scumread him.
Also i only wanted to vote if I thought the wagon would get any support- Infinity 324

The fact that i read almost everyone as town clearly means I was off on some reads. So I decided to re-evaluate everything.
I said I was gonna do some research, part of that involved ISOing trivium and part of it involved finding dunn's reads before he died. Since I read too many people as town, I decided to change my mindset and start looking at what players were doing from a scum mindset. Trivium's ISO fit particularly well with that.
PEdit: I re-ISOed jarjar and I think he's town because his wagon-hopping is too obvious to be scum and because he's not afraid to say what he thinks. I also found myself agreeing with a lot of what he said.
I think jarjar is an example of a townie with a scummy tone- Infinity 324

I won't blame you for that.
Meanwhile I think you're town.
Will you be on this afternoon? I wanna try and find the other scums but we're running out of time
Also here's just where I'm at with reads atm, I think being transparent will help get votes off me and onto potential scums
Bacde - need to interact with him
Zach - still not sure, need to ISO him
Tommy - lean scum, what I accused him of maybe be a personality tell and I liked his last post but then again he might just be avoiding engagement cause he's scum. Still don't like the opportunistic votes
Jarjar - Town cause his wagon hopping is too obvious to be scum and because he's blunt and because i agree with a lot of what he says
Transcend - Town cause his interactions with me seem like he's genuinely trying to figure me and shit out
Rask - need to interact with him
Lowell - lean town cause posts read genuine and says what he thinks.
Triv - scum cause he's too smart to just vote on all the wagons that pop up. I think he might be playing dumb a little
Inspector - town cause frustration reads town and waffling seems genuine
Alpaca - classic noob town- Infinity 324
